They didn't try hard enough for objective control in game 5. A classic T1 strategy to take control of the game's tempo is to focus on stacking dragons early. I doubt they are every going to nerf jungle, and I doubt there are good nerfs you could do there. If you take away permanent stats, they'd have to compensate with increasing the gold yield from objectives to make them worthwhile. I'm not sure that would be any better.
In order to make an effective nerf, they would have to remake the 10 years of game design LoL has gone through. Too much work with how low effort Riot has becomes.

Remove jungle. Add more minor objectives. Remove jungle again. Delay the time between wave spawn so people besides jungloid and support can roam. Remove jungle again. Add more hybrid offensive/defensive items so that losing teams don't just get freely statchecked after 1 bad fight. REMOVE THE JUNGLE ROLE.

You can generate a 4k gold lead on their top laner with sheer lane domination but if your jungle loses the atakan smite it means nothing anymore. I'm not saying they are not capable or competent, although there are reasons anyone would doubt that. What I'm saying is that it would be really hard: to one side, they have to keep jungle interesting or no one wants to play it (this is already more or less the case); to another they have to make sure the benefits from jungle role and objectives don't overshadow the rest of the game (same as previous point). The reasons they didn't do it yet, assuming they are as capable as we imply, is that it's both convenient and time consuming. It's something they would need a whole year of focused patches for, along the other normal patches.
If you ask me, I would like a bigger map with a slightly different layout and objectives, where you can build temporary consumable 'fortifications' around the map. Or something similar; that would be much more interesting and interactive in my opinion.

YunTal gives many stats ADCs need but the item itself is awful to build and stack, it's both boring and bothersome. Whenever I play ADC, I never build it for that same reason unless I really need to and I hate it when I do - I prefer Krakenslayer/BORK/Collector/Statikk as first item.
