The reason this is the final scene is to mirror the departure of the garden of eden. Just beat the SNES remake of MT1.
Is it just me or was the first dungeon by far the hardest part of the game?
Later areas are so large combined with a high encounter rate that it left me very overleveled. My characters were level 73 at the end while fighting level 50 demons. Meanwhile in the beginng the enemy demons had the same levels as my guys and every battle was dangerous.
Another weird thing is that the damage spells felt totally worthless in comparison to the healing spells. A damage spell might do at most 50 damage when I'm lucky while a Diarahan spell spell for the same MP cost heals all (usually several hundred) HP.

The whole point of the Famicom version is to walk on every tile and complete your map. The hardest bits ends up being one of the later areas as you try to survive door torture and a long walk. But it's never really THAT bad, you just make small progress and go again or else use save states. I haven't played kyuuyaku but from what I understand you get an automap which probably changes everything a lot. Anyway, mt1 is very different from 2 which ends up being a kind of blueprint for the series. No other megami tenseis feel like the first one

Levels for you or for demons? If for you, that's what you get for not hoarding gospels until the very end. Most smts don't naturally curve you to lvl 99, so I had the foresight to save the ~15 you normally get until I was 84.

For demons it's pretty easy to use attract pipe+nahobeeho navigator on that Minato area bridge, the encounters can chain for a ton of mitamas. For MC you just have to chain encounters you can easily kill with an attract pipe in areas with a lot of them. There's multiple Magatsuhi rails in taito that lead to isolated areas with dense concentrations of high level demons like Cherubs, Fenrir, or Orochi. Use a genma for omagatoki luck.

First time playing ts should I max STR or AGI next? From what I’ve seen both noises are a pain to farm. Tbh I should probably go with AGI but Ragnarok just looks too hilarious to pass up

I remember doing some really fucking autistic minmaxing on NG+ where I got every party member to max stats by not leveling them up at all until I had maxed out some of their stats with the noises that were easy to farm. I had to solo everything with Serph up until I could start farming those things. Anyway it's been over a decade so I don't actually remember which noises were easy to get but I can remember killing Horus over and over for whatever it dropped. Also yes Ragnarok is busted.

The source is common logic, retard. Merchandise doesn't get magically approved and created in a single day. It's a long process that requires approval from several people in a company and tons of testing to check for any issues. The Raidou merchandise was likely being pitched awhile the remaster was in development.
