About 3/4th the way through chapter 41 and it has been incredibly dull. Between the scooby doo antics and capeshit-esque repetitive melee fights, my interest has hit rock bottom. I am left cringing every time Rapi or Levi opens their mouth. The event, on the other hand, at least has some gravitas and drama to it that keeps me invested even if the lore implications give me a headache and a sinking feeling in my stomach
So overall, I'd give it an ehhhh/10, not off to a great start, but maybe they'll recover by the end

Last slot is a freebie for someone who does good damage without even bursting like Modernia, an extra support whose burst you also don't care about most of the time, or for extra B1 or B2 characters that have a longer cooldown
There's several characters that are intended to be used in pairs that often fill that extra slot too.

Its impossible to do because the interactions between characters can drastically change their power. For example, some scale hard off of having instant reload, which requires multiple characters to do. Scarlet BS gets a massive buff if paired with Alice's charge speed. There are tier lists but they're assuming you're going to use the character with the ones that buff them the most. This game has very complicated mechanics and interactions that can't be modeled accurately by a spreadsheet ape like most gacha games can, so that's why what you want doesn't exist. That's why the the best players can do is brute force test them. I can say this with some authority because I've been working on and off of a tool for to accurately simulate battles and its very hard to get everything right, and even when you do, the run time to simulate every combination of characters literally takes days and that's just for 1 element.

I hate the repetition of Career mode and the RNG of breeding and building the optimal girl and skip all the PvP stuff and play super casually. I'm in Sector 3 now and have been taking it slow. Haven't been using healing items really, just letting them sit at the hospital when they need it.
I think I can see what they're going for now, especially after I finished sector 2, had built out a few areas and realized you have to actually click a button to collect your resources.
The games a bit thin right now, but I think I can see something here that could be fun. It's at least different. I like that it allows me to use many of the characters I like, rather than just follow a meta to progress.

The trick is to increase squad by 5 on sector 3 and get 2 healers and 3 attackers when conquering territories so you end up with full hp afterwards so you wont see much of the hospital time outside of exploring teams

I believe an attack happens and you have to defend it. I think it says this in one of the tooltips, but I also haven't hit zero yet.
I can also see how the mission structure stuff is going to be dailies in some form. We'll see how it evolve.
I don't really mind it so far though. I do wish the speed outside of combat was faster though.
