She's the first actual starter since Stratos, since she can replace herself with Stratos. The problem is (like so many other HERO cards before her) she demands garnets. And while previous garnets were soft in that they could be sent from your hand to the GY with some discards/fusing, Miracle Extractor demands a hard Neospacian garnet. HERO already had a ton of ways to search Stratos too so it arguably doesn't need yet another.

That being said, if you want to make Cosmo Neos she makes the process MUCH easier. I'm sure much better HERO players can route out a better combo, but this is the "guaranteed" kill I've thought up:
Send Neospacian 1 from deck to SS Extractor, add EN Shuffle
EN Shuffle replaces Extractor with Spirit of Neos, add Over Fusion
Spirit of Neos replaces self with Neos
Over Fusion foolishes Shadow Mist, add Stratos
NS Stratos, add Faris
Faris -> Increase -> Vyon
Vyon adds poly and foolishes Malicious
Fuse Neos and Stratos into Wingman IR, add Favorite Contact
Tribute Wingman to SS Sunrise, add Miracle Fusion
link Faris and Vyon into Cross Crusader, add Dusk Crow
Dusk Crow -> Furnace -> a second poly
SS Malicious from deck, fuse with Furnace for DPE
link Crow and Sunrise into Infernal Devicer, add Neospacians 2 and 3
Miracle Fusion Crow and Furnace into Chaos
Set Favorite Contact
Make Cosmo Neos on the enemy turn.
No card activations and a pop and a negate on top for good measure. 2500 + 3000 + 3000 = game.

If you use Engage you lock yourself from link monsters for the turn, which makes building an actual board hard. I've been turn skipped before with Cosmo Neos and won anyways because all the guy could do is attack me with Cosmo Neos and nothing else. Though admittedly Extractor simplifies things enough that you can just hope you opened Stratos or some other HERO subtyle starter in your hand with it.

EN Engage Neo Space fetches it from the deck or grave.
Also in a Neos deck, you don't need the Xtra Hero crap. Stop relying on that crap as a crutch. That's what I hate about Hero players. The archetype has fucking well over a hundred cards and you guys are so tunnel visioned into 1 strategy only.

Miracle Ejector and Prisma really do make Cosmo Neos braindead easy to summon

I usually always mix in Liquid Soldier + Neos for Flame Wingman for extra draws. I also add in 1 copy of Dark Calling, Adusted Gold and Malicious Bane for a follow up next turn.
Now with all the additional Masked Hero stuff, you can easily summon Dark Law and Cosmo Neos.

Yeah, but not anymore. Depending on what the new Masked Heros do, Solid Soldier and Dian might be one ofs. Miracle Ejector is also EARTH. The problem with Solid Soldier is that it never had good targets to revive. Stratos would miss timing most likely. Shadow Mist mostly likely already used her search effect. Vyon you got off of the Vision Hero bs.

This is the frustrating thing about 4chan, having to talk on multiple fronts at once because people can't be bothered to follow conversations.

I'm hopeful HERO can ditch the link monsters too, but Infernal Devicer and Wonder Driver are pretty damn handy. Honestly I'd settle for being able to ditch the Aster cards. I'm BEGGING that the new Masked Hero cards finally take the visions out back, I am so fucking tired of going through that combo.

You draw 5 and then try and break your opponent's board while setting up your own.

Combat matters.

It sounds good on paper and there's probably a version of it that doesn't suck, but right now the cards themselves are just overall a bit boring. I only check the game out once a year mind you and stuff has been getting (slightly) more engaging. Harpies, Ritual and now the Monarch deck has a bit more going on.

There's potential there, but I don't think they are tapping into it yet.

Most confusing cards for me are cards that target cards as they do something else, and then you remove their target.
It feels random to me when they fizzle out.
Like for example target 2 cards, destory them, then SS your card or search or whatever, and you remove one of the targets, does it fizzle or not. It's annoying because of how important it is to determining the course of the game, if you fuck up this knowledge check you wasted your removal.

Look for an "and if you do" or a "then". An example:

DUNE era Yusei.dek was pretty fine, the DAMA stuff was good as well but the format was comparatively more hostile to the deck. By comparison, resonator was dogshit until the sd and is still pretty bad after and Akiza.dek was engine slop until dood and after dood it's still bad in anything that isn't Genesys.

Yusei's problem is that the anime designed him into a corner. His final monster was Shooting Quasar, THE original omni-negate boss. So it made sense that support for his deck should focus around getting Shooting Quasar out properly. Shooting Quasar needs 3 synchros, one of them being a tuner, which is ridiculous even now. So Junk Speeder became a thing. You got Wheel Synchron to act as a non-tuner, Stardust Synchron to grab Stardust Illumination and the Clustering Wishes reference, Jet and Revolution Synchrons to provide level 1 bodies, Assault Synchron and Accel Stardust to help with recycling bodies, and much later on Fullspeed Warrior to act as a proper 1 card starter. It took a while, but it all fits together nicely.

The problems start from there. First, they kept printing Stardust bosses with negates. Second, they printed Crimson Dragon who both makes the process of making a level 12 Stardust properly pointless AND makes it possible to cheat out more Stardust bosses. Third, while most of the protagonist decks eventually became "go first and solitaire into an insane board", Yusei is the only one where said board is a bunch of negates. Jaden ends on floodgates, Yuma has Big Number and more varied interaction, Yuya is (supposed to be) a boardwipe, Yusaku is mostly focused on monster negates. Yusei is just "fuck you, I have 5 omni negates" and that is not interesting to play against. You look at Jack's deck, and while it's pretty hard to fight through a complete board it doesn't require hard drawing the exact counter. So the solution they came up with was making Yusei's deck high risk, high reward and make the combo super fragile... except general powercreep happened and now it's high risk, eh reward because god damn every competent deck wins the game if they resolve their combo now.

So long as Yusei's endgoal is a bunch of negates, he will never be good.

It was always bad because it was all or nothing negate slop. Even if Junk Speeder died and the deck got broken support, including a Miscellaneousaurus clone, it would be all or nothing negate slop because the Synchro toolbox doesn't work in the slightest.

Farfa's (@FarfaYGO) second Genesys Open tournament was a huge success, having 167 duelists and excellent prize support. It was a Best of 1 event, with 8 rounds of Swiss and a cut to Top 8. Most importantly, it used the October 27, 2025 Points list.

Against all odds and point restrictions, Dracotail managed to come out on top, winning the entire tournament. Sparky made use of an old classic to supplement the deck: Aleister the Invoker!

Generaider seems to be doing pretty well for itself despite the small point hits, preventing duelists from playing its full engine alongside True King of All Calamities. Not to worry, as the archetype packs a punch without the game-warping lockdown effect of TKOAC.

Radiant Typhoon remained one of the most popular choices at the event, both as a deck and as a powerful engine for most strategies due to its lack of points.

Super Quant is flying under the radar at the moment as another strong contender, capable of making the absolute unit that is Super Quantal Mech King Great Magnus.

SQ, Onomat, and other Xyz strategies are enjoying the Flying "C" tax as of late. It may still be a good idea to dedicate some of your points to that card to combat these strategies.

Nibiru the Primal Being, and Droll & Lock Bird were also seeing heavy main and side deck play ever since they got adjusted to 5 points. Genesys duelists will certainly have to keep these high-impact Hand Traps in mind.

Satellite Warrior was a much more interesting boon for the deck compared to the multitude of mediocre Synchro extenders they keep printing.

It was never going to be enough support to totally shift the direction of the deck, but having an actual one-card combo OTK line isn't bad. The problem is that the deck is still horribly fragile. Being pigeonholed into Junk Warrior-specific support isn't really in spirit of Yusei as a player as presented in the anime.
You could throw out like 70% of the printed Yusei support and basically end up with the same number of playables.
