And you unlock those worthless grips WAY before you get to actually the good stuff like bigger mags, short barrels on long guns/long barrels on short guns, good muzzle brakes and suppressors. The APC10 is particularly egregious since you unlock the first usable grip at lvl 18 when most guns get it around level 5 or so.
The sights too, why the fuck do I even have to unlock them all individually when there are SO many redundant ones? Just unlock bundles of sights grouped by magnification, there's no need to bloat out the progression so much.

I've only been playing BR and Gauntlet for less than a week and I'm already being hit with that 'Why the fuck am I playing this?' feeling, the kind you get where you don't outright hate a game but still feel a little compelled to play more. I like Gauntlet for the most part, but I'd like it more as a fun alternative to normal BF modes. Only other alternative is the BR and I think I hate it, as soon as I stopped playing the bot mode I stopped enjoying it. Quads is just awful and Duos isn't much better, I'd really rather just play solo. I still don't think it's a very good BR overall though, there's so much shit going on. I wish Portal would let me make a fun deathmatch mode or something thay actually tracks progression. Honestly I don't know if I actually want to buy the full game at all anymore. Seems like there's a lot of extremely stupid bullshit in this game that just wasn't as bad or not present at all during the beta.

CQB or light suppressor (light hurts hipfire but makes recoil better, you choose if that's worth it), slim angled, blue or green laser (blue improves moving ADS accuracy but costs more than green) is probably the best general purpose setup. Barrel depends on the gun, there's a lot of variance in what's available and what you personally want.
