Why did you do this?

Standing in front of the Aetheryte for over three hours.

Using an obnoxiously large mount in a crowded area.

Leaving your retainers or minions out in high-traffic zones.

Simply being away when I needed a vibe spot for my glam showcase.

Am I banned from Ul’dah?
No — not yet. But you should refrain from AFKing in popular locations for extended periods. Otherwise, I will be forced to /sit in your exact spot again, which may put your public AFK privileges in jeopardy.

I don’t believe I deserved to lose my AFK spot. Can I get it back?
Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will I vacate an AFK spot once claimed. If you’d like to issue an appeal, send me a /tell explaining your case. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of AFK spot appeals are rejected — and yours is likely no exception.

How can I prevent this from happening in the future?
Accept the loss and move on. But learn from this mistake: your idle glamour display will not be tolerated in this economy. I will continue to occupy premium AFK zones until you improve your AFK conduct. Remember: Eorzea is a privilege, not a right.

MINE is never actually the real experience, despite the desire for it to be. SE has blown so many numbers the fuck up it's insane.

Ex. Back in ARR, True Thrust was one of the highest damaging abilities in the game... At 300 potency. And combo starters all did 100 potency. It now does something like 490 potency at level 50, and most combo starters are 200+.

Plus formulas overall have changed, in ways that have further increased power (Ex. Removal of accuracy as a substat, instead adding DHit as another damage increasing mechanic).

And this is all before you even talk about how rotations/etc. have changed. There's just no real way to get the experience of (for example) Living Liquid Savage's original DPS check, or the mitigation and healing check struggles of Alexander Midas where players were all melding VIT into their accessories on prog.

This is, very unfortunately, the truth. Savages you basically have 8 weeks to prog, where every week they get easier numerically(but also the players in PF get worse), until you begin to reach functionally their 'easiest, but still-on-patch' difficulty level.
Ultimates you have basically their current release patch (4 months) to prog before power creep sets in, with a softer ceiling of the expansion they released in. After that the true original experience is basically out the window entirely.

It sucks ass, but it's the way it is. At least Unreals get rebalanced and brought back for some fun for players who want to revisit them at a proper difficulty.

I think the hate for Wuk Lamat ruined any chance of having a critical conversation about the story because that's all people focus on and not how dull and inconsequential everything is with pacing issues that existed in Endwalker but far worse this time around. Wuk was actually interesting at the end of EW but they ruined her growth in Dawntrail and the race for the Dawnthrone felt disappointment, it *feels* like you spend 30 minutes in fantasy Texas and then it's over, Krile got shafted so bad, they could have done something more interesting with Living Memory and the Endless but in they ruined their own message with the latest patch. I'm just glad its nearly over and they can try again with something new. If the dungeons and trials weren't good (even though the S9 technoslop is starting to get old and they reused TWO final dungeon bosses in the same expansion) this game would be hemorrhaging even more players. I genuinely don't know how anyone could be invested in Dawntrail's story and excited for what's coming next. but hey people shit on Endwalker and I miss it in hindsight so who knows, maybe 8.0 will be a disaster and I'll look back on Dawntrail and miss it too.
