Current event is better than CC because it doesn't feature risks reducing the stats of our Operators or hyperbuffing enemies. If anything I would love to see more unique buffs that allow players to use different strategies using their favorite characters.

It does AOE, but S2 comes with a ATK +70%, so the total max hit is way higher.
Assuming of course she's targeting a wanted enemy, and has triggered her 2nd talent for extra ammo and ATK, and has stage 3 module.
S2 can hit for as much as ATK*1,88*4,25*1,15 per shot, example at E290pot1=11.035
S3 can hit for as much as ATK*1,18*4,5*1,15 per bombardment, example at E290pot1=7.333, assuming here that she is only targeting one lonely enemy.
Of course, she can only use that S2 multiplier against elites and bosses due to how the wanted talent works, so for the rare case of a freakishly buffed normal enemy she would still only be plinking away with ATK*1.88=2.257 shots.
That said, just slap something like Warfarin S2 on her while launching S3 and that shit shoots up, like 12.927 per bombardment.

All Alchemist alchemy units stay after their retreat. Hell Thorns2 S3 keeping the effect on retreat was part of my clear, after Mechanist goes phase 2 I used it and retreated him then placed blockers in the middle, the ursus raiders get melted by his S3 debuffing them a lot and dealing good damage while I don't have to worry about any other ranged DPS exploding there.

Really depends. If you use Gladiia team for Ulpianus on S2 and accept buffs, the 2% HP heal/second buff alone makes him tank Mechanist forever. Without buffs, Gladiia and one good healer (Eyja2, M3, Shining S2, Lumen, Silence, Quercus, etc) is enough. My buffless clear had Ulpianus S2 backed up by Silence with Gladiia on the field and he never got close to dying

CC was fun maybe the first few years, but since then it's so stale and the design philosophy of them has devolved into unfun and statwalling.
The mechanics of Mechanist were really intricate and fun to interact with. Beating a different stage to get up to him was also really cool, unlike just playing the same dumb stage over and over again. and then the buff system is also fresh and better than risks. It could use some tweaking and additions though. Also they need to bring the wife results screens back.

Overall, much better than nuCC. I hope it stays.

if you're struggling with tower capture and you have a trapmaster, they're very good since they can put their deploys around and you don't need to worry about them taking damage. low dp per trap and no operator slots consumed too. you don't have to raise them. magallan can be an option as well if you can spare the deploys just because her summons are in the air and won't be consumed if something runs over them

I didn't really saw a clear and switched, more like made a Frankenstein of a clear with bits and pieces I saw here and had available.
The main part was that I saw that Lemuen can target both the top and bottom lanes if I string Exia along, so I built around that. I read some anon say that Hoederer S2 can tank the giraffe forever, which I conveniently have mastered so that's another 2 slot with Gavial who's my medic of Choice.
The rest was just whatever cleared the map.
Mlynar with Ascalon+Crownslayer to keep the lancers and cars in range. Ines+Crownslayer to stop Leaf. Mudrock for moral support and a panic deploy against Nirvana and to tank Uproar. Zumama to replace Hoshiguma when she inevitably dies to mechanist + bring him down after his half hp nuking on phase 2.
I'm not very proud of this clear because it's just goodstuff with flex slots, but I'm always happy when I get to field Zumama. Although I had to bite the bullet and take X module because with Y she just barely died before getting to activate S3.
