This game is in the perfect state right now, aside from a couple of bugs and spawn camping needing fixing.
It's fine for people to be able to PVP you near spawn, but them being able to just shoot you as you're loading in and have no control is insanely gay.

The open space is part of the vibe. I'd just be worried about the game getting to full of players or ARC. The moments where all you see is the environment and maybe some ARC off in the distance are a feature, not a bug. Right now the solo experience being social is a massive boon, normally solos are miserable for casual players and this game has managed to avoid that. Best way to kill Leaper without either Wolfpack or Blazing is here on Dam under the Baron. Just bring a Ferro with 80 heavy ammo if you're poverty tier.
Crouch under the Baron leg and start shooting at the guaranteed Leaper spawn. Leaper won't be able to reach you so it just continuously reposition itself exposing its core. When it does leap and charge-up attack just hide under the leg and you won't be hurt by the blast. Barely anyone comes here because it's far from the quest objectives and high loot areas.

Arc needs to be considerably stronger. Like, they need to double the amount of drones and pops/fireballs, considerably buff Leapers and make Bastions less cheesable. It hasn't even been a week and the playerbase is already becoming increasingly aware that Arcs are a joke and extremely easy to cheese. Without the Arc threat, there's no real reason to not just PvP constantly

This is extremely true. The larger ARCs are just fucking blind. It's so difficult to be spotted by a Rocketeer or Leaper, you can just run past them for the most part. Bastions and Bombarbardiers basically only attack if shot at. They're scary at first but it doesn't take a lot of playtime to realize that they're not threatening at all unless actively engaged. You should see a Bastion and be afraid of going anyhwere near it.

I started making roleplay kits and pretending I'm some sort of AI boss raider.

One raid I brought a ton of mines, smoke grenades, an osprey and a burletta and I posted up in one of the overlook towers on spaceport.

I set up the mines all around it and inside of it, and started taking potshots at people until a bunch of randoms started coming over, I yelled over mic they'd have to kill me to get past.
