Anyone else here use the heavy eviscerator? Was trying out the mk15 yesterday for a while after using the mk3 only for so long and I prefer the mk3 still. Any of you guys have a preference between the two? Still by far my favourite Zealot melee weapon, despite people seeming to prefer relics and duelists.

Arbites do die in the line of duty often, but that does not mean they're "expendable". The term is usually used to refer to personnel that you don't really care about, and that might be reflected in them receiving less training, less equipment, and less support. Arbites are generally highly trained, well equipped, and they have support infrastructure. When an Arbites commander sends a squad of Arbites on a mission, he does prefer that they return safe afterward. In comparison, if a group is referred to as "expendable", the commander doesn't care if they return, they just want the mission done.

So there is already precendent for a Darktide playable faction not being "expendable", even though the starting classes all were. All of the "rejects" are "expendable", but an Arbites is a well trained, generally educated, well equipped, officer, and even though they die often and that is accepted, they're not really "expendable" in the 40k sense of the word.

A hive ganger would be fully "expendable" in the 40k sense of the word, but a skitarri, a SoB, a tech priest, and many of the other theories on the next class or future classes are not "expendable", but that's ok because there is already precedent for a playable class that is not "expendable" in the 40k sense of the word already in the Arbites.

Personally, I don't actually care which it is, I would love SoB but I don't find that likely. The only thing that matters to me is that they actually do something unique in terms of gameplay. The Arbites dog was that class's gimmick. Hopefully a tech priest would have some sort of build mechanic like turrets or healing stations, and maybe the SoB could have an armor system where she slowly earns power armor pieces over her progression, and maybe a hive ganger would have a drugs system where they have highs and lows of taking drugs then crashing. The possibilities are great, and I'm excited to see what they do.

Sisters respect Astartes because they are the Emperor's angels of death. They show respect for them as fellow servants of the Emperor.

Sisters are aware that they are abhumans, which would normally make Sisters kill them, but Astartes are abhuman through surgery and implantation of geneseed, they're not born mutants.

Sisters do dislike the more mutated chapters, such as the Space Wolves with their Lupine Helix, or the Blood Angels, with their sanguine thirst, but these actually are mutations. On average, Sisters respect astartes. Especially the Black Templars, because the Black Templars are the most overt about worshiping the Emperor as a religious figure, whereas most Astartes continue the 10 thousnd year tradition of revering him as a military commander and father figure, but not a deity. The Templars saw miracles happen through strength of faith so figured he became a deity and worship him as such, so the Sisters like them more than most Astartes chapters, but they still respect all Astartes chapters since they are the Emperor's finest warriors. On average, they are not as aware of the finer differences between their beliefs. Normally, someone who denies the divinity odf the Emperor would be slain on the spot by a SoB, but marines don't go around advertising that, they know to mostly keep a lid on outright atheistic rhetoric when Sisters are around. It also helps, from the Sister's perspective, that the lines between worshiping the Emperor as a deity vs revering him as simply the greatest of mankind has blurred over the centuries, and you have stuff like Space Marine Chaplains straight up saying prayers. So even they aren't sure anymore, so none of them make much of point of reminding people they're atheists.

Some vet weapons are solid vs crushers, problem is that in order to kill one with a vet weapon you kind of have to stick around the crusher for 5-10s whacking it in the head. And that can be extra risky if it's a deathball of 4+ crushers and you cannot keep track of overheads, in that case it's safer to krak it or let other classes stack flame DoTs on them

Plenty, I've just stopped playing it very much since the mission board rework because they're a lot deader than usual, are still plagued by leavers, and reinforcements were really bugged or even broken for a long time and I don't know if they ever fixed that. I also hate mutant spam with a passion, and it feels like half the modifiers are that.

Everything about this feels like it should be wrong, especially since I look basically the same with the high penance gear as a lvl 1, and the weapons are something I never would have seen myself use at launch, but I think this is me. I've tried something similar, and I just hate the moveset of the pickaxe. I loved using a bull cleaver with a kickback and just mulching hordes and putting a canister of grape shot into the chest of specials/elites. I reached 28 and then dropped the game for a while because it was pointless to try climbing it when 2 out of 3 games server crashes and team falls apart (though even if it didn't, when a mission is bricked, it will just crash again, I tried that before), so you really only get 1 attempt on average, and that's not nearly enough to climb ranks. Shitter trench is impossible to clear.
After returning to the game I haven't cleared havoc even once, and you can bet I won't ever do it if they keep increasing the difficulty with every patch while also introducing more and more bugs and not fixing anything.

Dream Team was kino during the first two weeks of havoc. All the noobs were too retarded to know about the maelstrom skip, so there were a fuckload of 1-15 games you could just utterly speed run. The presence of a party finder, and people being generally cooperative also meant that actual speed runs were possible without retards bitching or lagging behind. I remember the fastest regular mission we did to be around 9 minutes, which was pretty nice.

I use flak damage (most common armor type in the game) and crit chance (crits apply double the amount of fire stacks and trigger a shitload of psyker talents) on mine and so do most other psykers when I inspect them, the rest use carapace and unyielding, I assume the rationale is that trashmobs die fast anyway so they might as well use a damage bonus that'll be relevant against hard targets.

CDR is good on everyone. For perks I like 3x toughness 3x CDR and 1x gunner 1xsniper 1xwhatever (e.g. Psyker has Toughness regen, as it's rate and delay). Revive speed is okay as it also affects shit like getting them out of nets and ledges, but I don't use it.

CDR works out to a little over 3 seconds if you stack it on all 3 curios. Not worth it unless you're popping it the picosecond it comes off of cooldown, which is a bad idea as you want to save shout for best effect, which will usually leave you a few seconds outside of cooldown before accounting for other players using their abilities. Neither is revive speed because if you need that, the run is already dire since the team isn't coordinating one guy to revive and one guy to cover. Survivability is better.

I personally run toughness gun resist and stamina regen on vet and zealot, all super comfy and reliable all the time
It especially helps out with shovel cuz of how good its push attack is, as well as leaning into its efficient block cost
(Gunner resist also just let's you completely disregard them as a threat and reliably exist just fine while being shot at by multiple)
Cdr curio perks only reduce your ability (assuming 30s) by 3.6s max, and since its a reduction to the max cooldown time, its time save is further reduced for every second you have tactical awareness procced, I dont really think its worth the slot

Okay but I got True Survivor with randos, and do weekly 40s with randos. The closest I get to a premade is being invited by, or inviting, 1 Darktide friends list friend whom I otherwise have no contact with either.
I'd even argue that premades are generally worse players because they neither have to adapt to the wacky antics that pubbies pull, but also don't get to see such a broad spectrum of weird off-meta builds.
The skill issue here is filtering out retards. That is a skill you will have to develop, and unfortunately inspect mods are necessary to actually get a good handle on whether someone is going to be retarded. The rest is mostly adapting to the team's pace, but that usually takes 1-2 warmup games if you aren't used to each other yet.
It's rare that my randos "click" from the very start, but when they do, the mission is usually piss easy on the first try.

I got TS on the second weekend of the first season, but I've gotten a handful of runs without downs between then and now. It's mostly a matter of finding a good team that actually fucking deals enough damage. You know how everyone complains about bosses causing wipes and crusher trains getting in the way? A high damage team kills everything during the numerous stunlock opportunities that exist, including twins. High melee damage, skullcrusher and piss tag just utterly rape them. Chorus, stun grenades, shock mines, even a well-placed shout fuck up crusher trains.
It's especially hard in the current season because it's just completely retarded, but it's definitely still possible, you just need a better team than usual. If you still can't manage it, try bringing a smigger. I don't think it's all that good, but it is safer than usual with less-than-confident randos that prefer slow crawling through the map and standing still every time a horde shows up. I don't think that's the right way to play havoc, but it is A Way to get True Survivor.
