I say they feel like hollow characters. They aren't presented as having flaws like real people have. It's easy to imagine most of the cast making a mistake or doing something wrong. This is something I totally don't understand. There's so much yuri and so many lesbians in HI3rd already, so why do they go for that one girl who isn't instead of enjoying the actual well-written relationships of Kiana and Mei or Bronya and Seele for example?

I know it might at first glance look like gatekeeping and keeping Honk pure which is a good thing, but keeping the game pure is all about an appreciation of what is and rejection of shit writing and shallow girls. By the endgame, spamming large scale AoE moves is much more efficient than comboing to the point fighting DMC style is arguably a punishment or restricting yourself via slow progress. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

They can't see everything in part 2 is found in elysian realm, the whole new cast of characters, the simulation setting, the energetic girl, everything's there. It lets you know they fall for the lowest common denominator and are upset a near identical copy is given because they're too busy slurping elysia to see they've been handed the exact same thing. Or parts with significantly better in helia and coralie's chapters because they got better character writing than mei or elysia ever got but elysiafags can't recognize character development or tolerate anyone getting their character arc, elsewise they'd be into kiana or hua or anyone else who grows instead.
