Cyrene just feels out of place for me. Mem, the small Cyrene, and her just to melt together and it's very unclear what I'm supposed to think about her.

They sure don't look, feel, or talk like it. It's like saying someone's soul reincarnating into the next life is the same person. Without memories, it's an entirely new person.

On top of all that, her design feels so shoe horned into the role and setting that it feels off putting to me. Cyrene has no identity of her own. I simply do not care about her.

It's like Cyrene went from being an actual character to being a bad Elysia expy in a wedding dress, for seemingly no reason other than Shaoji being horny for his waifu.

Furthermore, Cyrene is in a wedding gown, wears a wedding ring, shoots the bow in her ult with you (if you pay $300), inserted herself into TB's memories, and became their pet for a while, but the TB just kind of... doesn't particularily care? Firefly, even though she also got shilled hard, at least seemed like someone TB cared about for some reason, even though the TB only met her for few hours. But Cyrene just latches onto the TB and there is no reciprocation, which makes the entire thing feel weird.

The "loving Amphoreus" thing she has going on also feels underdeveloped and artificial. You can tell Phainon loves Amphoreus because we have seen how much he has endured for his friends, you can tell Cyrene loves Amphoreus because the game is constantly reminding you of that. We never see her having significant interactions with the Chrysos Heirs or other amphorean NPCs, she doesn't care about Phainon, and even her interactions with the TB were very one sided and superficial.

The time loop is probably the most interesting part of this Cyrene. I overall much prefer small Cyrene as a character.

That final battle was the biggest nothingburger on par with Natlan's final battle.
A total "meh" from me.

It's romantic in the classical sense of romance. Not like oh I love you between two people. You're thinking of romantic love stories. Not all romantic stories are about love the term has just been denigrated over time. Historically romantic tales were adventures of impossible odds and happenings. Love is part of these stories but isn't the focus. Love has been a part of 3.x but it isn't the whole thing. 2.x was very philosophical and 3.x is very classical in its writing. It's funny in a way Natlan is like a failed Amorpheous. If Natlan had maps come out every patch or every other patch and main story for a year straight going through a for real war it would've been a better written story.

Castorice was no Acheron and I kinda hate she got the hype that Acheron did marketing wise and being the pre Amphoreus character shown. She ultimately had very little to do with the overall story and was frankly part of the most boring patch in Amphreous. I actually barely use her over other weaker dps because her story was just boring. Phainon, Aglaea, Herta, Hysilens were just more interesting. I regret pulling her.
