You have the right general idea but that isn't quite accurate. Anything that's in the game and isn't bugged technically isn't breaking any rules.

Honesty is originally an FGC term that was borrowed into other games. A character IS more honest because it's less gimmicky, but the important part is understanding what a gimmick is. And that's basically sub-games. Characters who are dishonest in fighting games are characters who have things like true 50/50s where they have set ups you have to gamble to defend against, or some unique mechanic that forces you to interact with them on a meta-level away from actual gameplay like having very lop-sided match ups some characters can't play against.

The same rule really applies to card games. Decks that are honest are just decks that you can interact with normally without being forced to make weird meta checks and can't force you into guessing games against their hand. Storm is ALWAYS a dishonest mechanic because it isn't interactive and comes from hand. Having some storm doesn't mean a deck is totally dishonest, but you can't actually do anything about storm in most cases even though it's a core game mechanic. Healing conversely is an honest mechanic even though it's cancer because it's an interactive mechanic that creates an open game state. Any definition that acts like power level is related is just wildly wrong.

So like, when you ignore power level it's a lot easier to understand. Dirt Rune, Midsword and Artifact are mostly honest decks regardless of power level because they're largely forced to communicate all information about the game state openly and can't blow you out from hand. The average deck doesn't need specialized answers to deal with them.

In the same crafts, Spellboost, Loot Sword and Eggs are dishonest because you can't meaningfully interact with their game plans. Their game plans are mostly solitaire and a lot of their power comes straight from hand without telegraphing.

Odin isn't a weird tech card only because he happens to be good right now. The fact that Odin answers them is the exception that proves the rule because it tells us that in a different meta game, or if you're playing any deck that doesn't have exactly Odin, you wouldn't be able to interact with them at all. Referring to Odin is effectively a power level argument dressed up.

For reference though, let's compare eggs to dirt rune. Lilanthem is a comparable card in that they're both types of wincons that're resilient to removal. The difference though is that even if Marwyn and Himeka were completely removed from the meta, Lilanthem wouldn't remain uninteractable. There isn't a card check with her, the strategy for the vast majority of decks to deal with Lilanthem isn't even "play Orchis" or "play Medusa", it's "kill the player" or "ward up".

Honest decks can simply be answered by playing the game through generic means. Sometimes the deck itself is absolutely broken, but it doesn't require special construction. Dishonest decks force other decks to either accommodate them or just not interact. The best way to beat eggs is to just play your own game and disrespect eggs.

Necromancy is the third most powerful resource behind Spellboost and Vengenance. In fact Vengenace was impossible to balance so SVWB punted it to the curve.

Spellboost is the best because it can technically have infinite scaling. All it takes is some bullshit card like Giant Chimera and boom you taking 40 interactive damage on turn 10.
Necromancy is costly but the effects are powerful and Shadow/Abyss is the best class on generating shadows.
Overflow is something you get naturally so it can't be overbearingly powerful. At best you get one extra guy or an autoevolve.
Combo has the most expensive cost: cards. Outside of Roach, a lot of combo cards require too much for an effect that Rune or Abyss gets for "free". I think Forest should have an expanded hand size though an effect but I don't know I'm not a card designer
Sword doesn't have a class mechanic so what you see on the card is what you get. It's just a big pile of good stuffs and without a resource like spellboost or necromancy it can't have a wincondition or you end up with something retarded like Sinciro.

Evo Sword doesn't have a real pay off at all. They can't really sequence into Sandalphon except with the generic Granjeeta set up everyone has access to and basically any game state that Siete wins, you could've won more easily with something else. The best version of those decks are carried by out of theme cards from the class already being good.

Yuel is an absolutely insane card, Ewiyar has the misfortune of being taxed but he lets you play his evo points while maintaining tempo, and Cupitan into Sandalphon is a very clean sequence that's easy to set up.

The reason the deck is shit is that it ends after that because you have a couple solid new cards and then the rest of the deck is forest trash. Forest is just super far away from having the critical mass of good cards to be able to play for value.

Culpitan into Sandalphon is more often than not slow, Culpitan is ssba like Beliel, she won't always show up just like Beliel, and can't have the chance to be tutor'd with Lyria like Beliel can. He does 10 damage to the board and she does 7 random split damage and 3 to the enemy leader, the chances for a completely empty board when that happens so you can hit them for a total of 13 damage when combo'd with Sandal are low.
Abyss has Nehan and Fediel for more free evos than Yuel so it feels like overall you'll charge your skybound arts up faster when playing Evo Abyss over Evo Forest too. The important thing to remember about aggressive sword builds that distinguishes them from abyss and dragon is that sword has always been able to grind surprisingly well. It's basically always the control against other aggro. You often don't want to be going face on sword even against slower decks if slowing down can set you up later and identifying when you should play that way is the main skill test in the deck.

By comparison face dragon has its name because it always wants to go face at all costs. Aggro Abyss in its latest form is just aggro blood and plays to it's outs and has better reach than the other aggro decks, it's to be seen if we ever see any aggro shadow iteration of the deck

Dirt runs a ridiculous amount of low cost cycling. You can very often hard mulligan for match ups without being punished unlike a lot of decks. Like the actual mathematical probability of tossing your entire hand away to hard mull for Lilanthem and still get your 2 drop is over 90%.
There's a lot of optimization in the mulligan people keep missing in dirt because they don't know their probabilities but you absolutely want to be doing things like hard mulls or fishing towards better set ups for your turn 4-6 earth rite sequencing. It's a total waste to mulligan like a normal deck in dirt.

I like the game i just don't live for it, i have a job and other games that i enjoy playing, friends and the occasional sex with coworkers, I'll usually do my dailies as an excuse to play 4-5 matches and be done, last set was awful because every match was just crest haven infinite stall infinite board clear infinite healing and infinite face damage so i was doing dailies versus bots and considering quitting the game but this set i can actually play ranked and face more than crest haven and loot sword so the game is enjoyable again for a casual like myself.
