When does playing carry get hard? I have prior moba experience and currently have 75~ hours in-matches (so no ranked yet) and even if my early game is rough I just farm up as a carry and just go in and demolish.

I'm not one tricking. I primarily play PA/Jugg/Ursa and sometimes WK but I only play him offlane and no matter how bad things look early game, I just farm until I get my main items + BKB and just catch people off during or after team fights, hunt people I know are easy kills if we have good vision

This kind of reminds me of a blunder I did yesterday as Skywrath Mage.
I cast my ulti but it went on top of one of the ward towers when I meant to cast it beyond it under on the ground level obviously. All because my camera placement was shit and the way camera is orientated in Dota, it's not enough from up to down but very horizontal instead.
Seriously the camera in this game really should be 20% further away for players, it's very zoomed in which allowed me to make that miscast, and it was a matter of splitsecond decision, I had no time to reorient camera there, but I suppose I 'should've' since the ulti was useless like that. Ah well..

Close to 100 hours coming from Deadlock, the currently most shocking thing about this game is how comeback heavy it is in my shitlo unranked games vs Deadlock. In Deadlock anything short of a minor lead is extremely hard to throw away and bury, a lot of the game is dictated by laning phase but here I honestly feel like the team that loses lane first in my games often wins simply due to midgame kills being worth far more than lane kills.

It's mostly the analysis paralysis for me. I don't want to fuck anything up. I'll gather materials, craft everything I want in the order I want it most, then play the game for the rest of the stuff. The target is about 1537 uncommons (assuming rare = 6 uncommons and common = 1/6 of an uncommon, and also 6 rares = 1 voucher) but it's likely that you'll need more than that, as you'll have to do crafting and exchanges near the end of recipes.

I really like playing him but he feels really weak during the lane, if my support isn't doing his part the lane is unplayable. That goes for all carries but jugg/ursa feel much better in that regard than troll.
His farming is also pretty bad. If you are forced out of lane early you are fucked.

Damn, I guess the drops are 100% dependent on who you're hunting instead of the hero you're playing. So I can't just play the hero I need drops from and get them over time.

But I guess the contract drops are also only part the rewards. Merely winning a game will give you the drops from that hero too. And I think they said losses are half drops so I'll get 3 drops instead of 6 on a loss as long as I select them as a target. That said though, I only pick out targets I can kill first easily, not picking them for drops, so optimising is probably going to be a little difficult.
