I'm starting to realize zero codex was the baby mode for casuals who need good decks to clear generic content. When you get higher you get more consistent decks because of the removals and high faint memcap, but it's tough to make the same caliber of deck as before.

I don't remember the last time I saw people going to such lengths to pretend that she ahs no issues. The Sub-reddit(Forgive me for mentioning it) Has been nothing but non-stop insane cope, where people pretend that she's perfectly fine, and it is in fact a good thing that she barely functions out of the box! I really don't get it.

I don't think it's such a huge problem that people expected her numbers to be higher. But it's honestly a bit weird how this release has been so incredibly divisive.

Personally I'm getting a lot of analysis paralysis about who to level and what teams to use, and because resources are pretty scarce in this game (at least right now) it's even more paralyzing.

These people are also probably running dozens of zero system runs for good decks, don't worry about it. Rerolling might brick you a little because you' will miss out on some of the freebies since launch, so unless its literally unsalvageable I dont recommend it.

It's a shame really. I rolled her too, and I could see her being really fun if her numbers where higher. She allows me to use Nia, which I enjoy too. But it really highlights some big problems in regards to team-building. Firstly not having Mika's extra AP printing is really fucking painful, I didn't realize how much of a crutch that was. And secondly just the raw value per card, Khalipe shitting out shields + AOE and even being able to return AP on top of it is just insane value compared to Yuki per card. I really do hope they tune her numbers, currently my Veronica is doing more damage simply just by existing, and Beryl just wipes the floor with her on top of her Retain mechanic just working way better overall compared to Inspiration in my opinion. Although I only just reached level 35 today, so my experience is very limited overall

Alright I'm not sure how thin you're spreading your resources because I cant see the levels, but assuming you haven't leveled more than 6 charas past lv 40 you're probably fine, here is my account for reference, you get a LOT of exps from battles which unlock at the protos lv 30/40/50, so dont worry about bricking with EXP, units might be an issue, but even whales ran into it.
For team building:
Must build 4*s are Mika, Beryl, Cassius, Rei, Tressa, you don't need to build Nia because you don't have Renoa/Yuki. The other 4*s you can stop investing from them.
For 5*s you should build the following character:
Khalipe, for chaos
Mei Lin, Vero, Hugo, Haru because you're struggling with Basin
Kayron/Rin/Magna are not unusable, but they do need more supports/I dont have them, but don't be shy to keep them around if you already invested
Then for team building, assuming you followed my recommendations:
Mei Lin/Veronica/Rei
Hugo/Tressa/Mika
Haru/Beryl/Khalipe
Feel free to ask more questions, you have more 5*s than me so its definitely a waste to reroll lmao

Kayron and Rin feel like really good characters but they're so big brained to use. If something like Mei Lin or Hugo is difficulty 1 then those two would be difficulty 5. I really enjoy Kayron's playstyle but I honestly find it hard to make him work since the difference between a good kayron turn and a bad kayron turn are galaxies apart. In a good turn you'll overkill the wave and have damage to spare while in a bad turn you just end your turn with maybe using one or two eliminations because you drew jackshit. Probably a way better character for boss fights or long fights than basin.

You just shield big hit and kill them before they kill you otherwise. No real difficulty in the event max zone deep trauma or basin. Both cleared with ease.

The ballista gimmick misleads you to the fact she has a draw engine. In particular her epiphanies can forego the extra advantage to draw for a lower cost or lower the cost of a drawn card too at it (like eliminating the shield gain for that). And one of them specifies it will draw cards for someone else.
This is why you saw some anons saying they were using Veronica with Rin days ago. Rin’s stance breaks if someone else attacks but this increased the possibility of drawing specifically Rin’s cards.
And what Yuki needs IS her card being drawn.

Every time either play does anything, "priority" then passes to the other player, where they are able to cast anything they want if they are able. When players cast spells (i.e. play any card besides a land), that spell goes on "the stack", and the other player is able to interact with it if they want to and are able. Once all players have passed priority back and forth and everyone has played every spell "in response" that they want to and all of them are sequentially on "the stack", the stack then resolves in a "last in, first out" order. You can think of it as a literal "stack" of cards that are played on top of each other.

No, not really. There is "Sorcery" speed, which can usually only be played during your own turn unless an effect allows you to play it during an opponent's turn, and then there is "Instant" which can be played at any time. There are some cards which really "must" be played during your opponent's upkeep ("untap, upkeep, draw" - beginning of turn order) in order to have any real effect, and there are some cards which cannot be countered. I think there might be a spell or two which directly interact with the stack or say that spells cannot be played after that one, but if there are I cannot recall them right now.

I removed a basic card (Protection) so that's 20 points(0 for the 1st removal and 20 for being a basic card). I have one Divine epiphany so that's 20 points. I only cloned one card so that should be 0 points there too. I have a monster card, so that should be 80 points so the total is 120 as it's shown in here.
