Discourse around this game has got to be the most inorganic one i've ever seen

The game is yet another goddamn boring campfest but now with 3rd person, making it even easier to camp.

Seriously, all they should have done was keep it PvE only and have it be some sort of Monster Hunter clone with roaming robots AND with the strain/destruction system from the finals. Immagine how cool would it be to see one of those big robot spiders demolish a massive building.

Instead we get boring loot, bad and unresponsive PvPvE and AI voice acted quest givers

Yes, i totally agree that it is would be fucking sick! However it is still cool enough to make me addicted to it from the first hour in a good non-grindy way. This is happening too rare today, especially in this genre

PvE only is fucking boring. Only casual faggots want to play against computers that were literally programmed to be beaten. There is a severe lack of good third person shooters on the market right now. You can play fucking Fortnite and be forced to play BR, you can play APB:R and be forced to play against hackers, or you can play Gears of War and be forced to play with and against console players all day.

And trust me, the shooting in this game is pretty shit, unresponsive and floaty, with the added "le realistic sway" with the double crosshair like I'm shooting a tank. If you're looking for a PvP first game, I don't think an extraction shooter will really scratch your itch, especially given the games you cited.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but in this game you only really win if you have the better guns, better shields and camp in the better spots. ONTOP of bad combat mechanics. The few times I got into a PvP fight I just wanted to never do it again, I would much rather fight the boring robots than humans again.

Yes, and outplaying these fuckers with better guns and gear while using free loadout is awesome. And combat mechanics in Arc is good, just like in Battlefront 2. Shooting feels awesome, grenades arent room sweeping mini-nukes, lack of one-shots that give you chance even without any armor. If you put thought in every move you do, check you surroundings and pick your fights right, then you are almost always have a chance to win.

I really liked the tech test although balance of weapons should probably be adjusted a bit. The difference between the White Weapons and any other tier is like night and day. Green to Purple is pretty balanced but the White Guns are total ass. Otherwise PvP was actually pretty fun.

The rarity tiers didn't work like The Cycle where each tier was objectively better, the DPS of weapons was actually pretty similar. A Maxed out Anvil (the Green Revolver) probably was the best weapon in the game so you could beat anyone with mid tier loot. The only thing that was an objective improvement were the Shields since the movement speed penalty was basically non-existent and the Damage Resistance Blue or Purple shields gave you was kind of insane.

They really need to give higher tier shields more movement penalty, because now players objectively have no other choice but to use the best ones they have

Yeah and Purple's 65% damage resistance is a bit crazy, Blue is twice as good as Green and Purple is double Blue in Effective HP it gives you. They tried to just make it super expensive to run by making it so Purple Shield breaks super easy, so you gotta dump lot of money into repairs, but money is gonna become no obstacle to players eventually. Probably should just add more Shield Types and have variety of different ones, maybe have Shield mods, so it's more of a choice like Guns are instead of just being linear progression.

Also the white guns are total ass, the jump from Whites to Greens is monumental but then Green to Purple is actually pretty well balanced so that each tier isn't objectively better. Whites should probably be made a bit less dogshit and there should be a White Grade shotty.
