I am extremely proud of knowingly standing in that doorway.
>>1776754 (OP)The original OP I wrote went over the limit.
I had put in some stuff about how we get gifts when anime episodes air and on character birthdays but had to remove it. If that character unlocking graph gets made, we can replace the first two bullet points in the new player info with an image link, maybe the third one too.
I also thought about making a calendar chart with the birthdays, but that would be hard so people can just post upcoming birthdays.
Now that I think about it, the thread can have a first reply with the extra info, but whatever. Would still be nice to have extra characters in the main post in case we ever get more agencies again, this post is almost 2000 characters.
>>1776764I'm the anon making the character unlock graph, had a busy week so I couldn't advance much on that front yet. No promises, but it should be done sometime next week

So the idea is to never roll for a character you want unless you have at least 2000tickets for pity right?
And what is the point of broadcasting your banner?
>>1776965More broadcasts you have going the more likes you might get from randoms! More likes means higher on the MVP leaderboard which means when that leaderboard ends you get more tickets!
I think I had a bunch of randoms add me off my broadcasts. Either that or getting to Ace fast had randoms add me.
>>1776965>never roll for a character you want unless you have at least 2000 ticketsYes. If you roll before and don't get them, you better hope you can hit pity before the banner changes.
>>1776965>So the idea is to never roll for a character you want unless you have at least 2000tickets for pity right?Correct.
Consider the scenarios:
>have less than 2k tickets, spend some on a characterLet's say you spend 500 or 1000.
If you get the character, you get the character.
If you don't get the character, those tickets go entirely to waste and you have to start saving from 0 again.
>have 2k tickets or more, spend some on a characterIf you get the character by chance, you get the character, just like before.
However, if you DON'T get the character through rolling, you can roll more. And more, and more, until you either do get them by chance or you spend 2000 tickets on their banner, at which point you can GUARANTEE them.
Saving to 2000 is insurance against the possibility of wasting tickets. The best thing is that if luck favors you and you get the character you want in less than 2k, the leftover tickets let you get back to 2k that much faster.
>And what is the point of broadcasting your banner? When you broadcast your banner, it shows up in the top-left of random people's screens in the lobby, like how you can see other players banners there.
The reason to do so is that some player might see it and decide to give you some Likes.
The reason to desire Likes is that they increase your Billboard Chart ranking.
Increasing your Billboard Chart ranking awards you with tickets at the end of the season depending on your ranking. It's not a ton of tickets, for example I think Top 1000 likes gets 30 tickets and Top 500 likes gets 40 tickets or something like that.
But more tickets is always better than less tickets, and most importantly, there is nearly NOTHING else you can use your gold on. I've got like 12 million gold, might as well spend a few tens of thousands on broadcasting my banners every week in the hopes of it getting me slightly more tickets at the end of the season.
You can actually create up to 4 different banners and broadcast them all.
>>1776973>More likes means higher on the MVP leaderboardBillboard Chart.
MVP Leaderboard is Ranked score.
>>1776333It does actually.
Forgot to fully mention it in the post i made showcasing the glitch, i did mention that Ibara has 2 different "alphas":
>her shorter-ranged scattered unaimed alpha>her longer-ranged targeted aimed alphaSince her unaimed alpha has shorter range, there are situations where you DO pull off the glitch but the target is simply too far away to be hit by both of them so you end up just getting her normal aimed alpha's damage.
(repost because i didnt realize the new thread was up till after i posted it)
>was getting an average of 5 to 8 kills in a bunch of matches using the ibara glitch

I propose to make the next match another Monoma only match but with no Togas this time
Monoma only (Shadowmech edition)
Oh right, Monoma match. ha ha...
>USJ is still a shitty map
>now this abomantion of a map is 2 hours on rotation
But hey, at least you get a water park that ultimately doesn't solve the glaring issues with the map
Why does monoma's beta go farther and faster than some entire rapid movesets
>die in part due to being hit through my all might gamma by another monoma using all might gamma
>watch my killer knock two other players out of all might gamma while using it
>Monoma match becomes All Might match as soon as the rest of their lobby gets their hands on All Might
>>1777860It's pretty crazy mobility even aside from the cooldown reset shenanigans. He carries momentum at the end, as well.
On Chaos City and I think even UA Island he can literally touch the map ceiling with just two betas.
>>1777860After playing him a little while, I have a theory
It's plausible that the fact he can refresh his cooldowns was an oversight, albeit one they are taking a long time to fix
But they didn't have to make him run at that speed, jump as if he has low-G, and get bullshit moves like a free damage negation
I'm starting to think they intentionally did all of this to pressure meta whales into rolling for him
I wish Ibara had much faster startup on her alpha. Hate trying to predict aim most of the time cuz i miss them a lot
I am seriously considering dropping 1k tickets on Nejire's banner just to get a PUR for her.
She's quite fun, and she'd be even MORE fun with Space Hop.
>>1777929She's sadly underpowered
Present Mic does all her attacks better at the cost of mobility, but Nejire's mobility is so slow that it's not worth it
The Nejire quirkset will save all Nejire lovers
Wish I could show redditors the end of the last match. It was basically a 3v1 and nejire almost won. Some of them pretend that nejire is the weakest character. I think she only died to the storm at the end there.
>Forgot it was saturday

>>1776754 (OP)I looks really bad, visually.
I have never liked battle royale, is this different feeling enough for me to enjoy? Are these actual fights that happen or can you just headshot someone and you win?
>>1777952There's definitely some janky stuff during fights that can feel unfair, specially with characters that stun you, but I'd most the majority of fights in this game are "actual fights".
>>1777960But I'd say the majority*
Apologies for butchering that.
>>1777937To be fair, they were all pretty beaten up and one of them was an Assault Kiri.
Nejire vs three beamers would generally be a pretty awful matchup.
>>1777973but they were mostly beat up by nejire herself...
and people really undersell how hard it is to shoot a nejire who's activelly shooting you, though that doesn't matter much in a 3v1
>>1777952>is this different feeling enough for me to enjoy?See
>>1772007It's the most unique battle royale I've ever played, in terms of gameplay flow.
>Are these actual fights that happen or can you just headshot someone and you win? There are no instant kills. Sometimes if a whole team mobs you at once in a 1v3 you can die very quickly depending on who they're playing, and certain characters have combos which deal a lot of damage at once if they can pull them off (not input combos like a fighting game, just ways to chain certain different attacks) but it's not like a shooter where you can get hit in the head by some guy in a bush from a mile away and die instantly. Generally speaking, every fight is an actual fight.
Electrification is a pretty stellar budget tuning for Assault Kiri.
Free beta after gamma, free gamma or beta after beta.
Yeah, Monoma is actually spoiling the game for me. He shouldn't have been released in such a state

I compiled a webm of probably 90% of the times I had people leave my matches (often times they leave when there was still a good chance to revive and it wasn't during the final rings).
Started grabbing recordings from around season 3 and only missed a few. A lot less leavers than I expected.
In fact, I'd say maybe even a 3rd of the time I had missing teammates it was probably cause of their game crashing or some sort of bug (not things I included in my webm if I suspected that was the case).
I only realised recently that the announcer says when Kota has been found, and there's no visual indicator for this
Here's a quick draft I made for the character unlock chart.
Anyone knows where can I find character icons like these in higher resolution? I don't mind making new ones myself, but if they're already there I can get this done quicker
Also, I know we have a couple new-ish players around so I want to ask if you got any character tickets for free. Back at launch I remember getting one or two for free, but can't recall if they were a release only thing which is likely or if it's something available for all players. If it's the latter I could add a character ticket to the group of free characters.
>hit a momo with ochako's gamma
>she takes damage but doesn't get lifted up

>>1778588Yeah, that's the one downside of turning off the announcer voice.
>>1778593>I want to ask if you got any character tickets for freeI'm not new, but yes, they do. Not specifically as a consequence of being a new player, but rather the research notebook missions offer two character tickets as part of their rewards.
I'd change "character tickets only" to something like "2 for free (character tickets only)"

I hate Monoma but the game is forcing me to play him because of the seasonal challenges

Main roster icons are all done now, one final question and I promise to fuck off until the first draft of he chart is done later this week because these next few days are going to be rough for me
For unreleased characters, simple lines, question marks or plain white?
>>1779084I like the question marks, but can you make them a little smaller? At that size you can't see a complete question mark anywhere in the background.

>>1779112Support isn't out of the question, considering oddballs like Cementoss and Momo.
I think Tech is most likely, though, assuming he has trapper gameplay like Tech Denki and Tech Dabi.
>>1779112Support. Think about it
>Grapes slow down enemies>Can supply bounce pads for his allies>SA can have him stick behind a teammate and provide buffs
>>1779113>>1779115>Mineta will literally be a daily dose when I play himThanks doc
>>1779112he definitely seems like he will be a rapid, especially since he's gonna be the first character with body size 1, no way a character with such a small hitbox compared to the rest of the cast gets anything above 250 hp.
I COULD see him being support if his special action is that "ride on teammates" thing we speculated about with the leaked voiceline data way way back.
It would basically be a reverse compress SA, who is also support, but then that would mean he'd become the first non rapid to get less than 300 health.
>>1779128>no way a character with such a small hitbox compared to the rest of the cast gets anything above 250 hpWhy not? Ochaco's hitbox is on the smaller side and her Assault version still gets 350 HP.
>>1779139Doesn't count, she's the studio's favorite so she's obviously going to get preferential treatment
>>1779140>anon missed the official tournament where one of the casters said Mineta is her favorite character
>>1779148The tournament commentators are nobodies. They don't even play the game.
>>1779152That's what the byking assassins want you to think
>>1779139Thats cause she is assault, unless they are also making mineta an assault character (very unlikely) i dont see him getting more than 250 hp.
Also even with asschunky's relatively small hitbox, she is still a body size 2, there hasn't been a body size 1 introduced into the game yet, so we can't really pinpoint how busted being that small will be, but i think being harder to hit=less health, thats why mirio has so little of it.
You people are going to be shocked when Mirko (Forma de Nugget) comes out with 500 HP
>>1779158I wonder if they're ever going to release a character with a different amount of max GP.
Something like USJ Nomu having 50 GP, but 600 HP. Or vice versa, pump all his points into GP instead of HP to reflect his shock absorption.
>Toga's purple damaged costume has five red slots on the same column
>not under a technical skill
So close yet so far away
i will get rapid might in 1 roll
>>1779179I've looked through every costume in the entire game. As far as I can find, no one has a good PUR Fixer costume (purple special above a large number of red slots) except for Aizawa, Twice, and Endeavor. Not even Deku, with his billion costumes, seems to have a PUR with more than two red slots under a purple slot.
Aizawa's Santa costume has a purple slot above a full red column, but that costume can't have Embrittlement, so it would be a damage downgrade for him generally speaking since he has such an easy time getting melees off.
Twice's paper bag (heat) costume has four red slots under a purple slot. The second slot is a purple villain as well, so he can still have Special Attack Reload Boost on that costume, too.
Endeavor's undefeatable costume has three red slots under a purple slot, which is pretty good, but the villain style of that same costume has a total of 5 red slots (plus a purple for alpha damage,) so you're not necessarily even getting more total damage.
It's a pretty niche tuning.
>>1777546Sir, a second Hawks has hit the towers
>>1779084If the purpose of this is to make a chart for new players, I don't think you should bother with unconfirmed characters
>>1779265Someone might take interest in the game if their favorite character is not yet in it, but is likely to be. Tamaki had some data, for example.

>>1779293>don't even care enough to fix a broken character after 2 weeks of ruining the gameIf it's another Hawks situation, Monoma won't be touched until next season.
who is going to console me after being owned by the same monoma 3 games in a row
he bullied me in lobby too
>>1779344It's okay bro, he wouldn't have beat you if he wasn't play Monoma.
This just in: Cementoss's cement structures are now affected by damage boosts from tuning. Last season they were not.
Pic related is his alpha, but I've tested his beta and gamma as well and they both receive the appropriate buffs, too. Big news for Cementoss players.
I'm going to test whether the same fix also applies to other attacks that create secondary effects, like Endeavor's beta and Momo's gamma.
>>1779394Yep, it does. Endeavor's beta and Momo's gamma are now both affected by tuning like they should be.
I imagine all such attacks, if there are any others, have been fixed as well.
I really hope that when allmight comes out, they'll also drop a hotfix that fixes matchmaking.
I have a hard time finding lobbies in unranked/solo's because the game keeps trying to put me with other aces, which just ends up with the lobby half-filled with bots, specially in solo's.
I hope they tone down the SBMM in unranked, they can keep it in ranked since i still found plenty of full lobbies while at the pro-expert ranks, tho i haven't checked out if Ace lobbies also have the bot problem.
>>1779518Actually, those are poison sacs
It's time for Monomas to apologize
First draft done. There's some things I wanted to include, but I'd rather get this out before the wage cage grind starts

>also clarifying every character has a planned quirk set, but only the more "developed" ones are going to make it into the chart

And of course any corrections and/or suggestions you have. When I get back I'll see if I can upload the character icons and a higher quality version of the chart too in case someone wants to use them for something else.
Here's the next confirmed character
I'm thinking rapid!
>>1779745Shouldn't All Might and Kendo be in the upcoming skillsets section, not the upcoming character section?
>>1779745>"Need 2000 roll tickets to guarantee a character/skillset" warning next to the gacha only textSpecifically, "Spending 2000 roll tickets on a SINGLE banner is necessary to guarantee a character/skillset."
After all, some gachas have pity points carry over.
Endeavor and Mirio's skillset tunings have been fully datamined.
Endeavor's skillset is predicted to be Assault because his minor tuning is HP Defense+/GP Attack Power+.
Endeavor's skillset special tuning increases the duration of PU. 2 seconds at level 1, 5 seconds at level 4, 15 seconds at level 11.
This will pair very well with PU Power Intensified. At level 11, PU Intensified only takes away 5 seconds, which is a decent chunk of a 15-second time limit, but not very much of a 30-second time limit.
Mirio's skillset is predicted to be Technical because his minor tuning is alpha reload+/alpha defense+.
Mirio's skillset special tuning makes you invincible (presumably, a la Quasi Permeation) when your guard breaks. The invincibility lasts 1 second at level 1 and 4 seconds at level 11. There is no cooldown on this.
This will make a great budget tuning because at level 1, 1 second of invincibility is plenty to prevent TODs.
At max level, 4 seconds isn't QUITE long enough to drink a full shield potion with High-Speed Replenishment (it'd be 4.2 seconds if you started immediately) but it's close enough that you might be able to finish the potion if the enemy isn't ready to hit you the instant it wears off. It's also more than enough time to finish a small shield potion even if you don't have Replenishment, and since there's no cooldown on it, you'll just get 4 seconds of invincibility over and over every time you're guard broken.
For characters whose individual attacks don't deal much more damage than the shield potion heals (~65-ish,) primarily beamers, this can potentially let you severely stall them as they'd only get one shot in every 4 seconds. For characters with heavier moves that deal over 120 damage or so in a single hit, you could still stall, but you'd lose ground much faster.
Triple Support teams might also make this tuning even stronger, as their small potions would have a 1.5x multiplier on the amount healed.
Tuning is and will always be a mistake
>>1778779Why? He's probably the most fun character the game has currently
>Last day of premium log in
>BIOS dies
>managed to flash it back to working order
I won't miss those tickets this time fucker
>>1779942Yes playing with cheats is fun
It's Season 5. An unbalanced blonde character is shitting up the game. (Toga, especially since she had that invincibility bug using Mirio special. Though Mirio was also overpowered)
It's Season 7. Unbalanced blonde characters are shitting up the game. (Hawks and rapid Toga. Mic is overpowered too but he got overshadowed by the other two, mainly Hawks.)
It's Season 11. An unbalanced blonde character is shitting up the game. (Kendo's punching bag, and soon the All Might skillset, but he'll probably be overshadowed too.)
>>1779981Now that you mention it, 36% of the characters in the roster are blonde, despite the entire roster ostensibly being Japanese.
Also, only 17% of the characters in the roster actually have black hair instead of some anime color. 20% if you count Kiri, since he canonically dyes his hair.
>>1776754 (OP)My main game is terrible this season so I'm trying this out. Are there any recommended gameplay settings?
>>1780135turn motion blur off.
>>1779921Both of those tunings sound insane. I assume the invincibility breaks when you do an action like attack?
Personally, I think I'd go with Warp Heal on someone and then both teammates with Mirio's tuning. Maybe even both tunings on the whole team. Imagining moments where everyone just constantly turns each other invincible as they reapply that tiny shield to each other thanks to warp heal.
>>1780135With how much you have to dodge in this game, I like putting dodge roll on right click and moving the aim down to left CTRL or something. I don't aim down most of the time and when I have to, it's not a big deal to hit ctrl for it.
>>1780148To add to this, if you got side buttons on your mouse I think they're a good choice for melee and dodge binds.
>>1780153>>1780148>>1780144I swapped those and motion blur is now off, thank you. Anything funny like lowering texture detail to see people better in bushes or something, please let me know.
>>1780135>>1780153I actually recommend setting side mouse buttons to your main skills if you have them, mouse 4 for beta and mouse 5 for gamma.
A lot of quirks are so much easier to control when binded to the mouse, like the shield type moves or some movement quirks that you need to hold down while also stirring with wasd, which is annoying to do if its set to Q or E.
Out of curiosity, what's your main game? I have a feeling i know what it is, assuming its another BR
>>1780166Done, thank you.
It is a BR. Feel free to take a guess while I do the tutorial
>>1780146>I assume the invincibility breaks when you do an action like attack? If it works like Quasi Permeation does (which I assume it will) then the only things that will break the invincibility is melee attacking, or activating an actual skill (alpha, beta, gamma, special action.)
Drinking potions, activating cards, interacting with things (chests, civilians, reviving downed allies,) and movement special actions that don't rely on actually pressing the SA button (Endeavor, Hawks, and Nejire flight, the wallrunning of Iida and anyone else who has Wall Runner equipped) are all possible without interrupting the invincibility.
>>1779880Yeah, I can see that part being a little too confusing. The confirmed characters section shouldn't have more than two characters in it at the same time watch byking release two characters and two quirk sets this anniversary to make me eat my words so I don't want to dedicate more space to it than it needs
>>1779883Good call, I expanded it to further emphasize that pity doesn't carry through concurrent banners either. Thought about including costumes requiring only half of that to spark them, but I think it's beyond the scope of the chart. It can always be added as an annotation at the bottom anyway
>>1780301>/MHURG/This is a nitpick, but general names are traditionally all lowercase, as they would be in a URL.
>>1780312>nitpickNo, you're right. I've uploaded the icons and chart to catbox this time. I'll delete the post with the previous link just in case too

>Gameplay->Camera MovementSet this to ON. I'm pretty sure what this setting means is "let me freely move my camera while I'm executing an enemy or using PU." If it's off, that stuff will lock you into a "cinematic" camera view that mostly just shows you in the frame and nothing else. Bad for situational awareness.
>Display->Show DamageSet to Show/Hide Total. This will add up the damage you deal in a short time and display the total number, rather than displaying a number for each instance of damage.
If you hit someone with an attack that deals a lot of small hits, it's better to know that you dealt X damage in total instead of just knowing that you dealt 10 damage a bunch of times.
>>1780161>lowering texture detail to see people better in bushes or somethingThere is a setting for vegetation quality, but I've never tried lowering it below High.
>>1780135>>1780329Also, some general tips:
The gacha rates are not that good, so don't rely on random chance. By far the best way to get gacha-exclusive characters is to save up 2000 tickets, so you can spend them all on one banner and reach the threshold necessary to guarantee a character. Of course you might get the character you want in less than 2k tickets, but saving up removes the possibility of the tickets going to waste.
With the hundreds of tickets available to new players (tutorial reward, Ranked milestones, etc) you'll be able to hit 2k by next season.
Don't spend your hero crystals on roll tickets or rolling. They're the premium currency, and the only way to get them for free is the in-game events. Using them to roll is generally a waste of them.
Luckily, you're joining during the first of this season's two events, and there's still a week left on it. If you finish enough of its missions, you can get 7k crystals from it, and then after the second event later this season you'll be able to afford the Pro License with those crystals.
Spending crystals on the Pro License is always a good idea because although it costs 13k crystals, it also rewards 13k crystals along with a bunch of other items, so it's just free stuff every season since it pays for itself.
The Premium Login Bonus is a good value too, but you won't be able to afford both it and the Pro License in your first season.
Completing hero notebook missions will award you with two character tickets, which can be redeemed for a good chunk of the roster. But the only other way to get character tickets is rolling duplicates in the gacha, so those two are going to be your only two tickets for a while. Be sure of the characters you want (try them out in Training Mode, play a few matches each day with them using rental tickets) before redeeming them.
Unlock Momo first. She's cute and comes with her giant cannons
>>1780341Sorry anon, maybe later. The girl I want isn't out and for melee, the Iori Yagami guy is pretty fun.
>>1780329>>1780333Got it, thank you.
>>1780421>the Iori Yagami guyThis one? I'm just going based off the red hair.
>>1780426No, it's Tomura Shigaraki
>>1780431Oh yeah, he's pretty fun.
Here's a tech that might help you out: Shiggy is pretty ground-based, but if you need to gain a bit of height quickly (getting on top of a small building, for example) if you look straight up while holding forward and press his Special Action, he'll gain quite a bit of height as he uses it. You can even use both charges back to back to go even higher.
>>1780436Neat, thanks! Anything about setting up gamma into beta or vice versa? I think if my opponents have a pulse, gamma is impossible to setup. Having said that, it's a pretty good mobility tool at least.
>>1780463Beta into gamma is typically the way to go. Your gamma cancels the beta animation, so you avoid the endlag where you slowly stand up after using your beta. If you jump before using your beta (or use it in midair at all, for that matter,) it turns the beta into a forward lunge, so you can jump+beta+gamma to spawn your beta and immediately transition into gamma without ever needing to stop moving.
I think if you melee someone you can use the stagger to set up your gamma, but getting close enough to melee them is itself a bit of a tall order since Shiggy's only real mobility IS his gamma.
You're probably better off just attempting to use it on people who are busy fighting your teammates or otherwise have their focus elsewhere, so they can't concentrate on dodging you. Also, people who are in midair can't dodge roll, so if you're fighting someone who is jumping around/airborne a lot, you can time your gamma for when they touch the ground and they'll be unable to roll through it.
Bear in mind that Shiggy's gamma deals true damage, meaning it always deals damage directly to HP regardless of how much GP the enemy has.
Also, Shiggy's gamma has what is known as "super armor." During his gamma animation he can't be interrupted by anything less than a full knockdown. You can use this to steamroll through some enemy attacks, particularly ones that render the enemy stationary for a short time which makes them an easy target for you. You'll still take the damage from their attack, of course, but it can be worth it if you land the grab on them.

>>1780477Thanks, I think I've gotten the hang of gamma canceling now. I can always dodge roll out of beta too, if anything.
>>1781711it's scheduled to be 6 hours, could be lifted early though.
>>1781711Maintenance typically lasts anywhere from 3-5 hours, I think. Officially, they've scheduled it to last 6 hours, but I feel like it's never quite that long.
The database site has all the upcoming gacha banners and mission events (https://ultrarumble.com/gashas and https://ultrarumble.com/events) and every end of a current banner/mission and/or beginning of a new banner/mission is always accompanied by a maintenance period, so you can plan for them.
This maintenance is for the release of All Might's new skillset, for example.
>>1781711By the way, joining an agency like Froggers will make your grinding easier. A max-level agency gives 1.23x EXP gain to all of its members at all times.
>>1781729And joining an agency gives roll tickets at the end of each season. Not a lot, but every bit helps

Do we feel lucky? What are the odds the devs touch Monoma in this patch?
>>1781747they have been better with this stuff recently but I don't want to get my hopes up specially when Monoma is still on rolls.
Rapid Might will be my new main...
>>1781764back off hes mine
I wonder if anyone here is actually gonna roll for rapidmight, i feel like despite his kit looking fun & busted, its not really smart to roll on his banner, even if you have the tickets.
Firstly, you have our current headache on a banner, Monoma, who is going to stay relevant for the rest of this game's lifespan unless they completely rework his kit or nerf him to oblivion.
If choose to roll for him, you can play as any other character you don't own so long as they are in a match with you, and unlike Afo or Toga, there ain't any annoying drawbacks you have to deal with (Toga's time limit, Afo requiring a down+long vulnerable animation, unable to retain/upgrade quirk levels) to use the abilities of a desired character other than finding them.
Adding on, if you happen to be in a team with a character you don't have or just wish to also play, you can simply copy their entire kit (-SA) and play as them for the rest of the match, with the only downside being that you might not be able to use your abilities for 5 seconds every few minutes or so.
He's just the better pick this season, even if you think rapidmight's base kit looks more fun than monoma's mix&matching quirks, you could just ignore the majority of his kit, copy a teammate playing rapidmight, and simply play as a diet-rapidmight with a special action that resets your cooldowns.
But let's say that monoma isn't a factor, either because you already have him or you don't care for him at all, even then, rolling on rapidmight's banner might still be inefficient because BIG hand lady is also getting a banner in less than a month.
If you do want allmight, i feel like it would be way smarter to save your tickets for kendo's banner, and try to get him there alongside kendo, the only reason to commit to rapidmights banner is if you really really like the new skins, but their tuning slots ain't anything crazy from what i've seen.
>>1781720>>1781721Thanks again, I'll keep the db open.
>>1781732>>1781729That's a pretty decent boost. I could, but I don't know how long I'd be playing for and I don't wanna take up a slot for no reason. If you don't mind, then I'll send a request once the servers are back online.
>>1781734Isn't that slower than just using beta as soon as you're mid air? It's an instant jerk motion to the ground iirc.
>>1781775Sorry bwo, but i'll be taking one for the froggers team and will GO BEYOND by spending every last ticket in my possession on the Rapid Might banner. Best case scenario i will get him in ONE roll (Which i will). pray for me
Datamines are out.
No changes to Monoma.
Also they pulled an Asschaco and BUFFED Rapid Might and Strike Kendo.
Rapid Might got 10 more damage on his beta rush at all levels, 5 more damage on his beta projectile at all levels, and FIVE SECONDS shaved off his gamma reload at all levels.
Kendo got 5 more damage on the first hit of her melee (both Kendos get this) and 10 more damage on her beta at all levels.
>>1781796>I don't wanna take up a slot for no reasonWe have plenty of room, I think we're at something like 23/35 right now, and new people tend to trickle into these threads slowly.
We've got some members who haven't logged on for months, just because there's been no reason to remove them since we don't need the space. We certainly have room for a player who is actually active, if even just for right now.
Be sure to drop your name in the thread when you do, so we can identify your application. Sometimes randos apply to the agency as well, just because they come across it in the list.
>>1781805>my new main got buffed
>>1781796>Isn't that slower than just using beta as soon as you're mid air? It's mainly a tech that you'd use if you were already falling/jumping for some other reason and you decide in midair that you want to beta.
If you jump with the intention of using a beta and do it immediately, then yes, the lunging animation takes basically the same amount of time as your normal jump arc would. However, if you use your beta late in the jump (but still in midair) the animation will kill your downward momentum and make your beta take slightly longer to come out than it would if you had just waited until touching the ground.
>It's an instant jerk motion to the ground iircYou sure you're not thinking of gamma?
When he does his midair beta, he definitely rears up for a half-second or so before dropping to the ground.
>>1781775If someone doesn't care about Monoma or has him already, and they want All Might, AND they don't care about Kendo, that'd be reason to roll on All Might's banner.
Of course the smart play is still to have 2k tickets ready for the pity, but him being a banner character would give a person much better odds of not needing to spend all 2k to get him, compared to rolling on Kendo's banner when All Might's chance per roll would be 0.06% instead of 1%.
>>1781817Now I'm not so sure so I guess I'll double check once the servers are on.
Did some math that I found interesting.
The chance of rolling a banner character/skillset is 1% per roll. Calculating how many times you might roll the character in a given number of rolls is complicated, but calculating the chance that you will roll the character at least once in a given number of rolls is easy. This is because the odds that you won't roll the character at ALL is just the probability of losing per roll (99%) multiplied by itself a number of times equal to how many times you roll. So the odds that you won't get the banner character at all in 10 rolls is 0.99^10 (90.4%) and the odds that you won't get the banner character at all in 100 rolls is 0.99^100 (36.6%)
For one thing, this illustrates that spending tickets when you're not prepared to go all the way to pity is a bad idea. You could drop 1000 tickets and your odds of getting the banner character would only be slightly better than a coin flip (63.4%) and if you fail, there goes nearly a whole season's worth of tickets.
But I noticed something else interesting. The number of tickets you spend relative to the probability you get seems to increase as you spend more tickets in total.
For example, if you spend 100 tickets, you have a 9.6% chance to get the banner character. This means each 1% probability "costs" 10.5 tickets. If you spend 1900 tickets, you have an 85.2% chance to get the banner character, but each 1% probability costs 22.3 tickets.
Unless I've got an error in my math somewhere, it seems like the value of tickets relative to the increase they provide in your odds actually gets worse as you spend more and more. I mean, spending more tickets DOES increase your (cumulative) chance, but it gets relatively more "expensive."
The increase seems to be fairly linear, pic related.
>>1781870This means that if you are going to roll on a banner and you DON'T intend to reach pity, you actually get better "value" by doing only one or a few x10 rolls, compared to doing 5-10 or more x10 rolls even if you have the tickets to spare.
Of course, pity is still the best value overall, so all of this can be disregarded if you intend to reach pity.
>>1781870>>1781871There are still some things about this that don't make intuitive sense to me (for example, since this is all an accumulation of independent probabilities that don't have any effect on each other, there's no "reset point." Like if you roll 5 times on one banner and get nothing, and then you roll 5 times on a different banner, technically you're now 10 rolls into the "odds of landing a 1% chance at least once" thing. Doesn't matter that it was two separate banners because this isn't a software thing, in terms of the statistics, you've still made 10 total attempts at landing a 1% chance.) but statistics and probabilities and such become more like black magic the deeper you go, so I'm just going to leave it there.
Servers are up and so is my application.
>>1781817Sorry, you're right. You're put in a weird floating state before going down. Your cancel is much, much better.

>>1781914You can skip the long start-up the alpha has by doing melee attacks first.
Ammo, damage, cooldowns, and such can be found here: https://ultrarumble.com/character/12
Rapid All Might's alpha can deal 264 damage before knocking down at level 1, and 336 damage before knocking down at level 9. I imagine this could be driven much higher with tuning, given how many hits it has.
His armor activates pretty fast, at about the second punch.
If you do his normal melee combo and then hold alpha during the punch flurry, he'll transition into immediately doing his full-speed alpha.
One tactic I imagine we'll see is an All Might using his SA to jump into combat, and revving up his alpha as he's traveling through the air so that it's at full speed by the time he lands.
Rapid Might's beta has quite a lot of tracking on the initial dash. It doesn't seem to follow moving/rolling enemies in a curve, but similar to Twice's gamma, if you're even vaguely facing in the direction of an enemy when you initiate the dash, it'll shoot you straight toward them. The effect isn't nearly as oppressive as Twice's gamma however, due to not being an instant ranged stun. His beta even has a little bit of startup, so you could probably roll it like Hawks's beta.
His beta dash is okay mobility, but it's got pretty terrible endlag and you even descend a bit during the endlag. It's better than nothing, but for example Rapid Toga's gamma is way better for moving through the air in straight lines like that. The dash doesn't go any farther at higher levels, but you get a fourth charge at level 7.
His beta projectile is a decent ranged damage option. It does about 30 damage less than the beta dash, but it goes almost 3x as far and pierces enemies. You can actually combo two of them if you fire them immediately one after the other.
>>1781930One important thing to note is that his beta rush only has armor during the END portion, where he actually does the slash. The dash itself has no armor and can be interrupted by staggering attacks. I don't really understand why the devs gave him armor on this move at all, in that case.
Rapid Might's gamma is VERY short-range on the ground. Like, borderline melee-range. It does have tracking, but it's not like it's another Strike Dabi beta. If you jump before using his gamma, you can get close to twice the range as its momentum carries you forward, but it's still not very far. The slam is a hard knockdown, so your teammates can't shoot at enemies while they're flying through the air afterward. The slam deals the same damage to everyone in the circle, even the person you actually grabbed.
While the jump+slam has armor, the dash+grab doesn't, although the dash is so fast I think it'd be tough to actually counter it with an attack of your own.
Because his beta and gamma both recharge midair, if he has a tech card he can air stall for quite a bit. If he has two tech cards active, he can actually just fly by using both his beta and gamma.
Overall, Rapid Might seems quite strong, though he has less combo ability than Assault Might. His biggest weakness will probably be getting focused by beamers while he's trying to rev up his alpha, and both Shinso and Aizawa will hard counter him since grab moves override armor.
>>1781932Forgot to mention - there doesn't seem to be any lower height limit to Rapid Might's gamma. You can suplex someone off the roof of UA all the way to ground level if you want, although it doesn't do any extra damage.
>>1781930You forgot to add: when you do the melee to alpha, he won't have armor, but it will be quicker to do the normal alpha, so I can see most Rapid Might players doing this version of the alpha the most.
>>1781937*quicker then doing the normal alpha
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFjE5A4UAJI
>>1781945Now do it with the melee tech. Melee twice and do the alpha.
>>1781952It does seem to work with Monoma, but it doesn't feel like he starts the alpha as fast as All Might does with his melee combo. Monoma's melee->alpha is noticeably faster than just alpha, but still only slightly faster.
And in Turbo mode, the regular alpha starts up so fast I'm not sure it's even worth the time it takes being basically stationary in order to do the melees.
rapid might needs another gamma charge methinks
>>1781930One thing that completely flew over my head is the RANGE of Rapid Might's alpha. In my head I just figured intuitively that it would be fairly short range, like Bakugo or Denki's alphas.
Instead, his alpha has the range of Assault Deku or AfO's alphas. Nearly the entire length of the USJ bridge.
He can machine gun turret people from quite a distance, and because of the melee fire rate thing, he can be hitting them for hundreds of damage before his target even realizes what is happening.
Oh great, another beamer that counters Nejire.
>>1781963Actually, Nejire might be able to hold him at bay if she's not engaging him from too far away. At a distance he's going to shoot her down like an anti-aircraft gun, but if she's closer then her beta would be able to knock Rapid Might down before his alpha can get up to speed.
>>1781930It turns out that Rapid Might's beta can be canceled right into another one if you press beta again mid-dash. The timing is tricky if you want to get the most distance you can out of each one (since you can't cancel once you get far enough to do the actual slash) but chaining 2-4 back to back actually makes for some pretty snappy and, dare I say, rapid movement.
This is actually showcased in the move preview that the English Twitter account forgot to post: https://x.com/heroaca_ur/status/1929832935290458129
>>1781775I only roll for cute girls. There are very few of those in the game and I got screwed before I hit pity on Nejire, so I'm still stocking up.
>>1781978How close are you?
Nejire's having a banner in a month. It would be ideal if you could spend your 2k on that, since you'd have better odds of not needing to spend everything and you also might get some costumes for her while rolling.
rapid might's beta is a good okizeme tool
>>1781986I have around 1500 now, so by the time her banner rolls around, I'll probably have enough for pity should the gacha gods forsake me again.

>iida still has armor on his beta

>teammates leave before the game starts
>manage to pull off a win somehow
There's no better feeling than this
>>1783181There is actually, when both your teammates die in the first minute, call you useless, leave and then you pull off a win somehow.
Is Twice op? I'm not a fan of his flamboyant running animation but his alpha seems fun if not only because it's like a high skill floor ability. Feels like I'm playing gundam evo's exia again.
>>1783269Yes, Twice is OP. But of course, it's all about how you play him.
Twice's alpha deals quite a lot of damage. It's actually one of the most damaging alphas in the game, if all three projectiles hit. But the fact that the projectiles are staggered and have quite a bit of travel time can make it difficult to land them on a moving target, especially all of them, at range.
The primary reason why Twice is OP is his gamma. It is an instant ranged stun that, more importantly, has very strong tracking and automatically faces you toward your target (who, as a result of the stun, is completely stationary.)
By weaving alphas in between your gammas, the alpha is no longer a move that is hard to land. Now it's hundreds of free damage with the aiming done for you. Alpha->gamma->alpha->gamma->beta can deal over 400 damage with the right tuning in an unbreakable combo, and then as soon as your half-dead opponent gets up from the knockdown, you can immediately do it again because Twice's gamma interrupts any movement or attack that doesn't have super armor.
As a direct result of this combo, Twice is perhaps the strongest 1v1 character in the game except for a few matchups. His melee can also be combo'd directly off of his gamma, meaning activating melee tunings like Embrittlement/Sisterly Disposition/Trance Blow is basically a guarantee if you can get anywhere near your target. All of this, combined with his ability to clone downed enemies to stack even more damage onto his targets and his high mobility, makes him one of the strongest characters in general.
If you find him fun, play him. You can even forego his gamma combo and rely on his long-range alpha, if you like. But in terms of raw mechanical potential, he is OP.
If you want a character with a similar alpha to Twice (travel time requiring leading shots to a noticeable degree) but is very far from OP, give Nejire a try. However, Nejire is still gacha-only.
>>1783276>>1783271>TOD characterWell fug me. I take it back, this isn't balanced. It's fine, I quite like a few of the cast already so I'm not too hurt but it's a shame he's like that.
>>1783282>so I'm not too hurt but it's a shame he's like thatI mean, you don't HAVE to exploit his gamma to its fullest. You can still play him as a mid-range beamer if you want to.
I play Rapid Toga and although she CAN just discard her transformation immediately to reset all her cooldowns whenever she lands a gamma and thus can just keep spamming her alpha/beta/gamma forever, I think that's a boring way to play her and I much prefer to actually play out the duration of the blood I steal.
I agree though, Twice should be fixed. All the devs would have to do is increase the knockdown value on his alpha and the stun portion of his gamma such that one alpha and two gammas would be enough to trigger knockdown and break the combo.
Which character do I pick if I want to be the canon loser cuckold who works in fast food?
I just went back to playing a non-overpowered character and I got absolutely destroyed, instantly, from full health, multiple times
The game is just unplayable unless you are meta abusing
>>1783299Playing off-meta is completely possible. Every character can excel in the right hands.
However, to do well with such characters can require a lot more skill, especially with respect to gamesense things like decision-making and positioning. Good tuning certainly doesn't hurt either.
Anyone can pick up Assault Ochaco and rack up KOs by slinging 200 damage meteors the whole game and flying away whenever the situation is the slightest bit disadvantageous. Low-mobility characters like Strike Shiggy and Assault Kiri are punished much more severely for landing themselves in bad situations, and they're a lot more level-dependent as well.
Tech Dabi is the real hardmode character. Your planning and positioning have to be top-notch because you can't escape OR go high-offense, and more than a few matchups are borderline unwinnable for him.
>>1783287Well sure, but the satisfaction of trying to play Twice to his fullest potential is cut by more than half like that. It's fine I guess, it's hard to balance a BR already, much less one with Hero abilities that have to stick to the source material in some manner. But number tweaks could at least soften the oppressive factor of a few of these kit designs. Having said that I already like/play a busted character, it being Shota Aizawa with my next unlock being Overhaul to round up my team of Shigaraki, Deku and either Asui or Iida, so I'm not gonna complain much.
>>1783313>with my next unlock being OverhaulFair warning, Overhaul's not on character tickets. He's still gacha-exclusive. (See
>>1780301 for which characters are on character tickets/gacha/etc.)
You're going to have to save up those roll tickets if you want Overhaul.
Aizawa's a good pick, though. He's been a solid top tier for many seasons, and has a high skill ceiling with his combo potential.
>>1783320>OverhaulYeah I took a look at it and I think the tuning tips in the previous thread, and lucked out because someone else asked first. Funny that someone complained about the OP picture because that cute girl is one of the reasons why I opened the thread in the first place. Any way, I'm working my way to 2k tickets and trying to get some resources for PUR tuning on my most played right now.
>AizawaI think you guys ran him for the Bamco tournament? You guys did great and I'm rewatching the vods to see if I can learn something that can still be applied now.
>>1783330>I think you guys ran him for the Bamco tournament? One of us did in some rounds, though we switched up characters a few times.
>I'm rewatching the vods to see if I can learn somethingIf you like, I've got my whole POV on Youtube from the preliminaries through the finals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpXTYtoLXqw
>>1783335I'll give it a look, appreciate it.
>>1781890I notice you have crossplay turned off.
I think you should turn it on. Not only will your lobbies be much more full (if crossplay is off, you can only play with other people who have crossplay turned off, and 90% of people have it turned on) but you as a PC player will have an advantage because console players tend to be worse than PC players on average.
>>1783365I'll enable it once I hop into ranked, but for now I'm just farming points and getting used as best as I can to any movement tech like Shota's Dash jump melee cancels
>>1783366Fair enough.
By the way, if you're curious about how much of a given lobby is bots, bot names tend to be either entirely Japanese characters, or a combination of English letters and numbers. You can confirm by clicking the name in the player list - if it's a bot, it won't open a profile page. Also, bots always populate the player list last in the waiting room (filling the empty slots from top to bottom, left to right until the lobby is full) so you can assume every name underneath the first bot is also a bot.
Bots never wear alt costumes, they're always in the character's default skin (and the default color of that skin, too.) So if you see an enemy with anything other than the default skin, it's definitely a real player and not a bot.
Bots also never interact with chests or civilians, and never pick up or use items.
>>1783375The platform icons are a dead giveaway too, and I've been using escape/tab menu to check the player list for that, thanks though.

>Ibara glitch hasn't been fixed

>>1784172Yeah, but Ass Might can't suplex frogs so I guess I'll stick to the new and improved one
>>1784141>spending a significant amount of tickets on a new skillset or character>before trying them out for yourself in Training Mode, in real matches via Monoma/Toga/AfO, or at least playing against them in real matchesNever believe the hype.
>>1784180>I don't understand why you don't get invuln framesWhether you get iframes is not based on whether an attack knocks you down. It's based on you reaching the down power threshold.
Every attack in the game has a down power value. If you get hit with enough attacks in a short time to reach 500 down power, you are automatically knocked down AND instantly receive iframes. This is known as a "hard knockdown."
Some attacks knock you down simply because those attacks have 500 down power. Stuff like Kendo's gamma, Rapid Might's gamma, Tech Toga's beta, Rapid Toga's gamma, the followup hits of Hawks's beta, etc. All of these attacks will immediately give you iframes after hitting you, and send you flying/knock you down in addition to that. No matter how fast the enemy or their team is, they cannot combo more hits in because each of these attacks cause you to instantly hit the down power threshold.
Some attacks do knock you down/send you flying, but they have less than 500 down power. Them knocking you down is a mechanical aspect of the attack. Because they are beneath the down power threshold, you do not receive iframes and are not protected from damage in any way until you either hit the ground, or air recover, at which point you do receive iframes. This is known as a "soft knockdown."
Assault Might's beta is one of these. His beta only has 150 total down power (50 from bumping you, 100 from the punch) so although it does send you flying, it never gives you any iframes. In fact, if All Might had the ammo for it, he could beta someone four consecutive times in midair if they didn't air recover. After the fourth one they would finally reach 500 down power and would receive iframes.
>>1784180>>1784303The reason Assault Might's beta sticks out in this regard is that not many attacks SET UP a followup like his do. Assault Kiri's gamma, Strike Shoto's beta, Iida's beta, and Mic's gamma to name a few, all send their target flying and have less than 500 down power, but typically have too much endlag relative to how quickly the target hits the ground for the attacker to capitalize on it and combo in another attack. A teammate could - for example you could get hit by an Assault Kiri's gamma and fly straight into the gamma of his Kendo teammate without even touching the ground or having the opportunity to recover, and you'd take nearly 400 damage in an instant. But such team combo cases are rare.
A few instances of characters being able to combo their own knockback are Mirio (he can hit two midair alphas in a row if his target doesn't recover,) Endeavor (he can hit two betas in a row if he hits the enemy with just the pillar portions,) Shinso (his beta can be combo'd into his alpha, a melee, or a second beta,) and Cementoss (he can juggle the same enemy up to 5 times in a row with his alpha pillars.) Think of Assault Might's beta more like those moves.
I started watching Vigilantes. It's pretty good. Pop Step is hot, qnd if this shit game were to last enough to get interesting characters in, i'd return for her

New version of the chart with Rapid Might joining the rest of the quirk sets. Also added a small gacha icon to all the currently active banner characters.

>ask for gameplay tips

I'm sorry, I failed you all. I unironically stayed close range and did nothing but dodge/wait for alpha/beta/gamma because I forgot this shit actually flinches, I was under the false impression people could just shrug it off so I never used it. Now I actually do the shiggy 2x melee swipe into special action or jump melee, 2x melee into special action.
>>1784596It's alright friend, this game is a constant learning process. Probably only 10% of what's mechanically possible/optimal is explained to you explicitly by the game, the rest has to be learned by experience, by word of mouth, and by watching others play.
I played for like 1500 hours before realizing that holding down the forward movement input reduces the delay between consecutive melee attacks/between a melee attack and a quirk skill. It's such a significant reduction that some combos are only true combos if you do it.
I played for 2000 hours before realizing that you can hold down the button for Endeavor's gamma to make it last much longer, up to something like 3x as long, so you can sweep a wider area with it.
>>1784615Thankfully the combo guide clued me into that and the fact you can delay some hits to keep someone staggered. The latter I know/try it on every character I get to play. Live and learn. Into the based retard club I go.
>>1784623Some characters have melees with super low knockdown values, so you can chain the first hit of your melee combo over and over to keep someone stunlocked for quite a while. Shoto (the fire and ice guy, not Shota Aizawa) can hit someone with his first melee 10 consecutive times before it finally knocks them down. By contrast, Aizawa's first melee hit would knock someone down after just 5 times.
The best part is if he's got a beamer teammate, the teammate can just pepper the target while they remain unable to move, dodge, or do anything else since they're locked in the melee combo.
It's not something that's really ever done in practice since it would require such coordination between teammates (and Shoto has a tough time landing melees to begin with) but it's a neat idea.
Mirio bots are still the most prone to breaking

Is there any telltale sign that a window/building/whatever is destructible? Or is it just map knowledge? The map with the tall skyscrapers (U.A Island I think?) has me floored on several levels. Chaos town is a little more obvious, such a cracked window glass in the Villain containment zone and USJ is 50/50.
>>1786114>Is there any telltale sign that a window/building/whatever is destructible? If you hit it with an attack (and that attack doesn't just destroy it outright) the impact will create a cloud of dust and a sound effect (it's hard to describe it, sort of like a brief metal/stone grinding noise?) The main thing to look for is the cloud of dust.
Aside from that, no. It's just map knowledge. Some destructible things are made to look visibly destructible, like the cracked windows you mention, but most of them don't have any special appearance like that.
Here's a quick rundown. I assume you already know what civilian booths are and what they're for, so they're not included here:
>USJ (the map with the water park)The roof sections of both big domes
The sections of wall surrounding Collapse Zone (Northeast region)
All buildings in Collapse Zone
All buildings in Landslide Zone (West region, with the big hill)
The wooden barricade walls beneath Mountain Zone
All sections of red brick wall
The metal-looking gate between Typhoon Dome and the center fountain
All signs and benches
All of the small light wgray buildings littered around the map that AREN'T visibly damaged/destroyed. The ones that look destroyed have actually been turned into permanent fixtures.
>>1786114>>1786159>UA Island (skyscraper map)All of those short (standing-height) brown glass canopies that some buildings have attached to them at ground level
All visibly cracked windows/glass panes (not transparent like Chaos City's, these are opaque green glass)
The ceilings of a few rooms, but when it breaks it just reveals a second ceiling above it, making the room twice as tall. These are never really of any consequence.
All of the waist-high walls in the suburb area in the northeast region of the map
All benches, signs, beach umbrellas, and the outdoor tables with umbrellas over them
The tiny buildings in front of the mall, in front of UA (biggest building, center of the map,) and anywhere else on the map I might be forgetting. They all look the same, so you can recognize them. The food stands in front of UA fall into this category as well.
The transparent glass panels in the roof that stretches over the mall
Some of the furniture that tends to fill the interiors of rooms, like the crane game cabinets in the mall arcade or the bookshelves in the mall bookstore
>Chaos City (map with the big elevated train track running across the length of it)The tiny rectangular buildings that can be found in some places around the map, same type as on the other two maps
The white tents in the East region of the map
The blast door in the underground area of the Villain Containment Zone, next to the jump pad. The door has a small dent in the bottom.
All of the cracked, clear glass windows in the Villain Containment Zone
Some room interior furniture like shelves and desks
That's pretty much it.

>one minute leave restriction
>based on previous changes made to the menu screen, like not being able to kick, not being able to see profiles or ranked badges, etc, the logic behind this was probably to prevent more toxicity (rage quitting is seen as toxic)
>the minute long time out gives you time to insult/emote on dumb teammates that get themselves killed, and they can't do anything about it
>two of you dying outside the late game and the last guy going down can force you to witness tards teabagging your last teammate for at least 19 seconds before killing him
>people determined to quit after dying (but that aren't willing to close the game) will still leave after the minute, but since they don't leave right away, the living player(s) left can end up changing their game plan to look for revive cards, which gets messed up when the guy finally leaves
>if you die and your teammate(s) clearly have no intention of reviving you, you get to sit in the bitchbox for a minute
>going through the frustrations of the above, or anything else relating to the restriction, can add to general frustration from games not going your way, will make players less patient, which can make them more toxic, because this game is mostly played by kids and teens that tend to think like that

>>1796253AfO is pretty great at it. Froppy has to approach to do her main beta combo, and AfO's level 9 beta is so huge that it can interrupt+damage her before she even gets close enough for her beta to make contact.
Assault Kiri probably counters her pretty well just because his SA and all his attacks give him armor, so he can beta/gamma her when she tries to beta him.
Aizawa can catch her with his alpha as she approaches.
Kendo's beta pretty much shuts Froppy down entirely.
If Cementoss is on the ground, he can counter Froppy's combo with his own beta before she initiates it.
Strike Kiri counters for the same reason as Kendo.
Those are the main ones that come to mind.
I must get 152 more red tickets before the Monoma banner ends...

>>1796368>only 95 GPWell there goes my Iida build.
>Doesn't synergize with him at all, you're better off using Trance Blow.Oh, sorry. You can't really test for this in practice mode. I figured it'd make the TOD easier or make it so your team can follow up on your engages better. Well, I don't think Space Hop or Neji Leap works in your favor as yellow/cat shiggy doesn't really have any real glaring weaknesses to cover for just that he's apparently not overtuned thus not played so perhaps consider just reload and defense or even doubling up on defense?
>>1796528>I figured it'd make the TOD easier or make it so your team can follow up on your engages betterYou can use the database site that's linked in the OP to get more information on every special tuning.
Electrification doesn't synergize because the stun only lasts 0.8 seconds. It's barely enough for most characters to do anything with. Additionally, contrary to the tuning description, guard breaking an enemy doesn't stun them immediately. It gives you Denki's SA aura and then you have to physically bump into the enemy to stun them.
Electrification is good for certain niche builds on specific characters (for example it can potentially guarantee a double beta with Assault Might, or make gamma -> beta or beta -> gamma a true combo for Assault Kiri) but it is not a good tuning generally speaking.
>I don't think Space Hop or Neji Leap works in your favor as yellow/cat shiggy doesn't really have any real glaring weaknesses to cover forNeither Space Hop nor tuning in general is necessarily about covering weaknesses. It can also enhance strengths.
For example, Space Hop can let Endeavor and Nejire gain a lot of height to start their hover without burning their skills' ammo for it like they normally would have to. The extra free height makes Tech Denki an even better sniper. In the case of Cat Shiggy, I was thinking it might let him stay off the ground more/stay farther from enemies without impeding his ability to toss his alphas.
I would rather 1v3 a team comprised of a S5 invincible Toga, a gamma-glitch Iida, and a Kendo, while I also have that glitch that doesn't reload your ammo after using it, then ever fight a Monoma again

>>1796537>You can use the database site that's linked in the OP to get more information on every special tuning.Yeah, I've been using it so far and it's incredibly useful to map out tuning builds. The latter part about an incomplete and/or deceiving tuning description sucks, as some things aren't as intuitive as you just broke it down, but some like willpower are easy enough to understand, as it'll allow you to live at 1 HP every 60s.
>Neither Space Hop nor tuning in general is necessarily about covering weaknesses. It can also enhance strengths.Yeah, I understand. I'm just weighing both and when it comes to Red Shiggy, he's already strong enough to where adding some mobility makes him a better character. Yellow's almost the same so you can just augment his offensive or defensive capabilities as beta freezes you mid air.

>>1801078Have you been soloqueueing?
As of this season, three-stacks are prioritized toward matching with other three-stacks, and are less likely to be matched with teams made of solos/duos.
Instead of getting stomped by the top players (who generally play as full teams) you've been going up against randoms whose teams are just as disorganized and chance-based as your own.
>>1801521Yeah I've only been solo queueing, maybe Byking finally did something right
>>1801537The downside is that if you DO actually want to play with your friends, the changes have made it a far worse experience. Not because of the opponents you get, but because there's not enough full teams to go around. Especially because it also tries to match based on recent win rate.
If you're in a full team and you win a few games in a row, you start getting lobbies half-filled with bots no matter how active matchmaking is at that moment.
I think it's a bad change, overall. I think the additional rank points awarded for defeating full team players/higher-rank players would have been enough.
>watch tournament for iida
>might does some schizo level ups
>watch our tournament pov
>guntharius does some schizo level ups as well
Okay, wtf am I supposed to max? Is it really not 9 gamma asap?
>>1803179Most high-tier Iidas I go up against/spectate do level gamma 9 first.
Iida's attacks don't have any ammo or size milestones like someone like Overhaul, Bakugo, or Compress, Leveling either alpha or beta to 9 simply reduces its cooldown by 25% and increases the total damage per combo (alpha-alpha-beta, specifically) by 40.
Meanwhile, leveling gamma to 9 also reduces its cooldown by 25%, but additionally increases its duration to nearly 1.5x and reduces its burnout period.
Considering that Iida's biggest asset (both offensively and defensively) is his turbo mode speed, I think the increased duration is easily worth more than 40 damage per combo.
I'm not sure why Might did that, to be honest. Nor Guntharius, but the latter might at least shed some light here himself.
>>1803280I honestly can't tell if it's some tuning specific stuff or just rng from ability card pick ups but I think both are being fed cards from Kurogiri on ours and Shoto feeds Retherns on Hawke so I dun geddit
>>1803257Next year for sure. Probably for the big third anniversary celebration
>>1803280Pretty much everything you said. The duration feels direly needed against players who know how to deal with Iida well.
Plus, Sisterly Disposition was at its strongest then and Iida uses it the best and I liked abusing that on him with high level gamma, allowing me to stay up in the enemy face and disrupt for my team as long as possible.
Also, I'm not confident enough in my offensive skills as a player to capitalize on maxing something like beta first. I think I end up going for alpha max second cause I like the distance and size increase of it.
>>1803346This too, probably just rng from card pick ups. I should have maxed gamma first, at least I normally do.
>>1803830>>1803280Thank you both for the insight on iida, I'll keep running gamma up first.

Too hot for the AI to handle
Man, Yellow Ochako is fucking dogshit, I couldn't do anything but get killed by fucking Mirios and other shitty characters. Makes you think why console babs want her nerfed when in reality she is ass, she is the worst quirk skill set.
>Every character can hit her out of her own alpha
>Her charged alpha misses if the person you are aimming at moves a inche out of the way
>All of her moves leaves you open beside her beta
>>1809409>>Her charged alpha misses if the person you are aimming at moves a inche out of the way Bro? Your ability to turn people into easy targets with gamma, which hits people even when they roll out of the warning circles and can even hit people behind Ochako? (I learned that last one the hard way)
>>1809409She's only bad in 1v1s. Her alpha has Mirio's problem of being easy to dodge if you have your focus on her entirely. However, her gamma and beta are more difficult to dodge and can both set people up for her alpha.
The main thing is though, that this isn't a 1v1 game. In a team scenario she is incredibly strong because of her high damage output. It's not so easy to dodge her alphas when you're in the middle of fighting her teammate or a third party.
In general, being caught by surprise by an Assault Ochaco results in taking a lot of damage very quickly. Combine this with the fact that she has 350 HP and Rapid-tier mobility, and she is one of the strongest skillsets.
There was an unofficial tournament a couple weeks ago of 32 teams, and like 90% of the teams who came in first place during each match had an Assault Ochaco on them.
Words cannot describe how much I hate both chunkos. Day of the treadmill can't come soon enough
>>1809449>tournamentThat doesn't mean anything besides people playing with their friends or e-friends on the mic, which they can already do just without the tournament setting, so using the tournament setting is just cope to me. Yellow Ochako is ass because she has no armor on any of her moves, which leads to people just walking up to her and hitting her for trying to attack, and her rate of fire isn't the fastest, which is a whole host of problems as well. Yeah, Yellow Ochako can clean the dishes, walk the dog, and make dinner, but all of that doesn't stop her from being an ass due to her having a shitty fire rate, being left wide open whenever she does anything, and having a shit ton of characters who counter her. Yellow Ochako would've been a monster if there weren't Twice, Aizawa, Monoma, Shinso, and the beamer characters who absolutely destroy her.
>>1809423People can easily dodge her gamma at high levels, and I can do the same. Yellow Ochako is only a threat if she has at least one good teammate. But I would say her gamma does get a bit bullshittery especially when you hit her, but her gamma still hits you. Once that happens, she gets a free hit even if she was knocked down by the person she hit her gamma with, which is bullshitโshe gets to have a second chance.
>>1809549>That doesn't mean anything besides people playing with their friends or e-friends on the micIt also means that most of the people participating have some measure of competency compared to the fodder one would find in normal matchmaking.
But it does also support what I said about Assault Ochaco being stronger in team environments.
If she were a weak skillset, she would not have been so massively overrepresented on the winning teams compared to every other character and skillset.
>>1809598I don't think so, especially when the example you used is an unofficial tournament. Also, EVERY character is strong with a team, so that doesn't give her more points than everyone else.
I find a blue Ochako scarier than yellow if it is played by a Blue Ochako master.
I touched up the OP again, freeing up more space now that the character unlock chart is done. We're almost at page 10 so I'll make a new thread when I wake up.
Kurogiri is hard countered by the red damage indicator
>>1809968Smart, I've never considered using the damage indicator as a radar to pinpoint like that.
You know how Trance Blow messes up combos?
I thought it was because Trance Blow imparted down power when it activates, but actually it seems that the Brainwashed status effect (both from Trance Blow and from Shinso's gamma) apply a x3 multiplier on all incoming down power for the whole duration of the status effect. This means if you're using Trance Blow, even if you knock an enemy down with your melee and wait for them to get back up for a fresh combo, it'll still mess up your combo.
The x3 multiplier isn't a big deal for beamers, because most beamers only have a down power of 10. They can still put 17 shots into the enemy before they get knocked down, which for a beamer is a hell of a lot of damage.
But for a lot of other characters, it makes Trance Blow a bad tuning. I was thinking I'd put it on Tech Dabi, maybe slow people down so they have a harder time getting out of his gamma circle, right? Because of the down power multiplier, even if they just STAND in the gamma's fire, they can only take at most 2 ticks of damage from it instead of 5 before getting knocked down. It cuts his gamma's potential damage output on the single target to less than half what it is normally, and 2 ticks is so few that you might land that without Trance Blow anyway.
At least it's nice to know what the multiplier is exactly, so I can work out ahead of time whether Trance Blow will work if I have a specific combo in mind.
>>1808673so that's what they put in those potions...
>want to tune Tech Dabi
>have a PUR that can use Wall Runner
>but its only options are Red/Blue(H) and Blue/Green(V)
>don't own the two Dabi PURs that can use Wall Runner+Embrittlement
>feel like investing in subpar PUR tuning would be a waste of resources since you only get enough rainbow parts to tune like 2 costumes each season
>but no telling when I might get one of the other Dabi PURs randomly through rolls

>>1810618Pretty sure they did that so that if the match is obviously going badly/a wipe is imminent, one member can't just leave early as a backup plan to intentionally boost the point gain of the other two.

The shiny new characters can't keep up with Tech Dabi.
Please help me understand. What do you do when your ranked team goes for the worst spawn place possible, right on top of the box? Do you:
a) Spawn right next to them
b) Spawn close by and aid if needed
c) Spawn somewhere with civs and start scrounging up revive cards asap
d) <free space>
I've never fast 8th'd so much in my entire life. Both a and b result in getting 5th or 6th'd partied, and believe me, I've tried spam spawn pinging somewhere else so we don't insta lose the game and god forbid if after this brilliant decision one of them instantly disconnects if I or the other guy don't get him up within 20 seconds of going down or revive during the minute they are locked out of leaving.
>>1810827Personally I would go B, but whether I approach would depend on how many other teams dropped at the box.
Sometimes no one else drops at the box and it's free for us, so I go join my team.
Sometimes only one other team drops at the box, so I go help my team fight that team.
But if it's a shitshow where 2-3 other teams have also dropped at the box, I use a Gather ping to indicate that they should get out of there, and I leave the area. It's not worth jumping into a meatgrinder like that unless you've got teammates who you know are dependable.
Fighting multiple other teams at roundstart IS possible for skilled players, but soloqueue random teammates are too much of a mixed bag to bet on that.
I'll party up with you sometime if you like, but fair warning, it'll put us in Expert/Ace lobbies.
>>1810827I think spawning far away increases the chances of your teammates leaving even more so than being with them and having them wipe while you live. It's not the worst thing if your team leaves, though, as with being solo may let you play smarter and place higher or even possibly win since you're more cautious and don't have to take risks to help teammates. I've gotten 1st a surprising amount of times with disconnected teammates.

>>1810848MY FUCKING DAILIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday I thought we would hit page 10 faster, but we're only hitting it now...
New (updated) thread tomorrow, for real this time, maybe.
>>1810835>I'll party up with you sometime if you likeThanks for the kind offer. I'll maybe take you up on that if the season's about to end and I haven't gotten there yet. It's just a little frustrating because these sort of games just slow the gains down and I want the last of my tickets for Overhaul so I can start on my character builds. I'm only missing 1 Notebook level and E1 + Ace tickets, so I'm very close.
>But if it's a shitshow where 2-3 other teams have also dropped at the box, I use a Gather pingI see, is there a faster way to use something like a gather ping? You can't ping or chat during the 3 second count down and bringing up the ping wheel takes a whole/half a second versus double tapping/danger pinging, so it feels kind of bad.
>>1810836>I think spawning far away increases the chances of your teammates leaving even more so than being with them and having them wipe while you live.My thoughts exactly, so I choose option B more often because of it and hopefully net similar-or-close to the ranked point gains you'd get if you spawned in a good spot. I don't think I'm skilled enough/have good enough tunings to pull off 1v3s like that but since you're telling me it's not too far off from what you can/should do, I'll keep at it. Thanks.
>>1810883>if the season's about to end and I haven't gotten there yetWhy so solitary? Take my word for it, playing with buddies/agency members is way more fun (or at least less frustrating) than rolling the dice with randoms.
I'll still send an invite if I see you online. Up to you whether you accept, though.
WE GOT BALANCE CHANGES
>Momo's gamma down power increased from 150 to 250 at all levels
Before she could land 4 explosions before you got iframes, now she can only land 2. MAJOR nerf.
>All Might alpha damage decreased by 8 from level 4 onward, and splash damage decreased by 10 (decreased by 15 at level 9)
Pretty significant reduction, when you combine the main projectile and the splash damage.
>Cat Shiggy's alpha damage buffed slightly, both the projectile and the fan portion
>Tech Toga's beta buffed by 20 DAMAGE at level 9, also buffed at earlier levels by varying degrees
>Twice's alpha nerfed by a whopping 1 damage per knife
>Nejire's flight time buffed
It's not back to where she was on release, but it's pretty close. Her first nerf changed her ammo consumption from 20-35, this patch changes it from 35-25.
She can now dash 4 times in a row and by my estimation, she'll be able to hover for 13 seconds continuously instead of 9 seconds.
>Asschaco nerf
Her alpha projectile damage has been reduced by 18-24, depending on level.
>CEMENTOSS NERF
He's got a penalty span on his alpha now, so it takes 2 seconds for it to start recharging after he uses it. This is going to MASSIVELY decrease his ability to spam alphas for a sustained amount of time.
His alpha reload time has also been increased by 0.5 seconds at levels 4 and up.
Also his gamma now takes an extra 5 seconds to recharge if you use both charges, and doesn't start recharging until 3 seconds after you use it.
>EMBRITTLEMENT DAMAGE INCREASE REDUCED FROM 1.25x TO 1.1x
THEY KILLED IT
Maybe in anticipation of people stacking Embrittlement and Iron Fist?
Momosisters, we've dropped from S+ tier to S tier...
>>1810908Dang it, I was looking forward to pairing up embrittlement with Strikendo's skill. I guess they really don't want another sisterly situation.
>>1810908Forgot this one:
>Aizawa's beta reload time reduced by 3 seconds at all levels>Aizawa's gamma penalty reload increased by 1 second at all levelsA buff, overall. The 3-second reduction on beta reload only increases his ability to play "the floor is lava."
At level 9, his beta recharges in just 3 seconds.
>>1810908Wait, I fucked up my terminology.
What Cementoss received is a "penalty reload span" which is the time between when a skill is EMPTIED and when it starts recharging. Before this patch, his alpha would start recharging instantly when you emptied it.
The time between each use of the skill is the "reload start span" which doesn't seem to have been changed.
Though the 0.5 second increase on each alpha reload is still going to hurt his spamming a bit.
Same for his gamma, it only takes 3 seconds to start recharging if you use BOTH charges. If you only use one charge, the recharge delay is the same as it was before.
*gets buffed every season after release*
>>1810928He must be a dev favorite. He's not even gacha bait and he's still been consistently among the top of the meta for the game's entire lifespan.
>>1810892No offense and don't take it the wrong way, but I'd like to say it's half about ladder integrity and half about competency with a touch of one of the best feelings in games is being in complete sync with strangers. Ignore the fact that you can game the system. I like to leave organized team play for stuff like tournaments/scrimmages instead, but I'm not opposed to it at all, after reaching Ace myself, of course.
>>1810936>organized team playTo be clear, I'm not talking about voice comms or anything like that.
Also, so far everyone in the agency is still just as much a stranger to you as anyone else in the game.
>>1810942>everyoneI found my FUARKING HERO in that custom duos match and we almost got 1st. He's my frogga. That's one! But I get your point.
>>1810981I'm sorry i couldn't get us that win frogga, i failed you...
(i'm pretty sure we DID down every duo once though, or at least downed most of them, thats gotta count for something.)
You're a great player, honestly. If you told me ya've been playing for a couple of seasons i'd totally buy it, just by staying close and hitting your shots or attacking the same team i am makes you better than 90% of the randos i got in my rank grind.
The only thing you're missing is game and character knowledge, (like knowing what compress' special action does, you can pick up normal and downed teammates, if they're up you'll heal them gradually, if they're down it acts as an instant revive if you get to place them down) But this type of knowledge will come naturally as you play the game, i'm sure you can make it to ace before the season is over.
P.S You're my frogga too anon, i'll be rooting for ya
>>1811002like knowing what compress' special action does, you can pick up normal and downed teammates, if they're up you'll heal them gradually, if they're down it acts as an instant revive if you get to place them down
But I do! I even used it when you did go down. Did you want me to use it earlier just for the heal itself? If so, do you happen to know when? I feel like it's a waste unless we're really low on pots and mostly because any hit on me instantly drops whoever I'm carrying and if happen to get knocked out or jump out yourself, you don't get any invincibility from what I've been able to observe. I'm okay at the game I guess but thanks!

>Adjusted some of the matching algorithms to make it easier to match players with each other
Maybe matchmaking will be more lively now, especially the higher ranks.
>>1811020Its main use while your teammate is alive is mobility, there was a single point during that match, i think it was right after we downed a duo, where i pinged the big tall building in the center of the match with the "lets gather here" flag, you can use it in situations like that to get your teammates onto some high-ground since your gamma is very good for vertical mobility.
Also, It does offer a bit of protection, you don't actually drop people when you get hit or take damage, its when you get staggered or knocked, so while its still not a good idea to use it in the middle of a fight since so many characters can stagger you with one of their quirks, if a teammate is very low or close to death and you are fighting someone like strike shiggy, tech dabi, strike denki, ect. You can usually get away with at mid-long range battles since this characters can't stagger you from far away.
>>1811091I'm trying him out in Training Mode right now.
The half-second increase on alpha reload time doesn't feel too bad, although it does mean you'll have to play a bit more conservatively and take breathers more often rather than just raining cement constantly.
His penalty reload time was increased to 8.5 seconds at all levels and he was given a penalty span of 2 seconds on top of that (functionally, penalty span simply seems to add on top of penalty reload time since all skills begin recharging immediately once emptied) which means if you spend all his alpha ammo, it takes 10.5 seconds to reload. This is quite a bit longer than before this patch, where it would only take 7.75 seconds to reload after spending all your alphas.
This means you're punished a lot harder for running dry instead of conserving at least one alpha, though as before, if you do run dry you actually recharge to full ammo a few seconds faster than you would recharging one-by-one.
His gamma also takes 15 seconds to reload if you spend both charges, whereas before it only took 9.5 seconds to reload whether you spent one or both.
Isn't it interesting that the Monoma banner ends as Kendo arrives?
The Nejire buff feels really nice.
I basically never run out of SA now unless I mismanage it.
Can't wait until I can get Space Hop in a couple weeks.

Now he can spam pick up his teammates just like Deku and Iida can.

>>1811353let Togadev have a treat, they've been losing the power struggle with Aizawadev and Twicedev for a while now.
>>1811341Rapid All Might more so now that he gets more mobility on top, right?

>>1811313So All-Might effectively has 2 special actions?
He is the number 1 hero so it makes sense, it always did feel weird how he wasn't able to save teammates if he used his SA recently
>>1811504>it always did feel weird how he wasn't able to save teammates if he used his SA recentlyHe still won't be able to.
Using his SA jump drains his SA charge completely, which causes the penalty reload where you can't see the % charge at all and it's just a red bar that increases to full.
The percentage meter only comes into play when using his SA carry, which drains his SA gradually.
This change means that he will be able to pick someone up even if his SA is partially drained from having done so recently, and he will also be able to use his SA jump even if his SA is partially drained for the same reason.
He will not be able to pick someone up if he has recently used his SA jump, as that will have drained his SA completely, rather than partially.
New even though we're still at the top of p10
