Why the fuck can't Asian MMO's be as dedicated as Western MMO games? I am never dedicating my life to any MMO that's been made and published by Asian devs. They wanna run with their profit instead of keeping the game alive. For an example, SWTOR is kept alive still even after over a decade and it's not the most active playerbase despite having thousands of players daily. Shit, even STO barely gets above over a thousand players.

Honestly, Fuck Asian MMO's.

Asians prefer their MMOs to be p2w. They shutdown so the giga whales are forced to migrate to a new p2w MMO.
Western MMOs can't really do this because p2w bad. There is no reason to shut them down. There aren't as many whales to exploit.

If you can only pick one, I can pick out 2x more mentioned that has lived for 30+ years. 10-something years is pretty much the longest Asian MMO and that's not saying much. FFXVI is probably next one that will outlive all Asian MMO's. Despite that, I can name a million other Western MMO's that's been kept alive for 30+ years

Tera was a lot of fun until the endgame. Then I lost all interest. Repeating the same instances and that terrible Nexus shit or whatever it was called that ran at 5 FPS because the servers couldn't take it.

Early on they also fucked up the crafting system to make it take way longer to craft anything.

It was well documented what happened with Tera, mismanagement by the leadership of BHS. They spent huge amounts of money and almost all of the developers to work on Elyon for 7 years, and during that time they starved Tera of content.

Then Elyon flopped, and after that they intended to go all on on Tera again. However Krafton carried out an financial audit, saw they were massively in debt and forced them to fire all the developers.

Tera is still running on consoles but they have like 2 developers left.
