Thought it might be nice to have a thread for all those barely shambling corpses of MMOs that aren't alive enough for a thread of their own.

What are you playing right now? How dead is it? Would you recommend it to other Anons? Blog to us about your game

I got to level cap in Champions Online and did my first round of Cosmic world bosses. Two of them were a ball ache due to the strats not being followed the first 5 pulls, but we finally got there in the end. The game feels active but you don't see too many people when leveling, a lot of people around when an event is on though. A new dev team got assigned to it and they are undoing some of the mistakes of the previous team, so thats kind of neat. plenty of life left in it yet.

Atlantica Online.
Very original, because all the fights are turn based strategy. You can hire up to 8 mercenaries, from lows to best.
The world is a mix of real Earth and fantasy.
Typical asian MMO with tons of UI.
Started playing with friend in 2009, then alone in 2012. Got back to it week ago. Pretty dead, but playable.
Never spent a cent on it, but as I said, it's typical asian MMO. The struggle becomes more and more visible.
I wish it was more popular.

A friend tried to get me into Everquest 2, but upon researching it, seems they fractured their already small population into multiple "oldschool" servers so the entire game ends up feeling empty.

the other issue with those is that they're seasonal so if you get a hampering to play during the wrong period of time you're kind of boned. probably a lot of fun if you join near the beginning.

Yeah that's what I found, great if you get in on the servers opening up, but if you're late to the party you get left behind. Whole thing ends up just spreading the already minuscule playerbase even thinner,

Yeah, I played that one as a kid too. But I don't remember much of it, how grindy it is?
