Check your cash shop bank for a free mount.
It's easy to accidentally delete your dragon mount. If you get a pop-up whenever handling it, make sure you closely read what it says. Deleting it isn't the end, however, as the game has a generous warp system.
You can change your face and hairstyle at the Tower of Training in Elim.
In Elim next to Radix (NPC who teaches you about refining as one of the quests) is an NPC called Administrator who gives you quests for reaching a certain level/rep. You can get good weapons by doing those quests so make sure to pick those up if you haven't.
Reroll your daily kill quests to S-SSS and complete them for a nice EXP boost.
It looks like you can only get EXP from mobs within 20 levels of yourself.

I was wrong about this when I posted it. I'm not sure if there's any reduced xp when killing stuff that's too far below you but you still get xp.

When in an each speed party all the xp gets turned into a bonus that happens on kill. When soloing it seems to be faster to kill something that's easy and quick to kill rather than something closer to your level. It might be beneficial to be in an each speed party even if you're solo. I think you want to do even speed party if you're killing stuff together with people.

It's important to grab the Administrator quests early if you want to complete them - if you outlevel them you won't be able to take them.

Once you get something that goes into your wings slot, you can quickly activate your mount. Just drag your mount into the Guarder menu, then hit Change when you want to ride it.

You can warp to places for free from the Seal Roadmap. Find a quest that takes you to where you want to go, then hit Enter. For example, the first level 40 quest warps you to Elim.

Tilde is the hotkey to quickswap between mount and wings.
You need a pet equipped to use the mount, the tutorial gives you a pet that has a lot of free stats on it. You can play with it or unequip and reequip it to feed it but if you forget and it dies, just leave it equipped so you can keep using your mount.
You can fish with a minigame if you buy a fishing rod but if you just want to autofish to get the daily quest done, don't equip a rod and no minigame will show up.
The Radix refine roadmap quest can bug out, if you did the quest and the roadmap doesn't complete, abandon and reaccept and it should complete.

there is an alternative tutorial are (2 maps) that contain regular Guide NPC and a few others. It looks like it's designed for Beginners with NPC telling you about switching to normal jobs, but I'm not sure if they can even start here in this version.
To access it, you need to create a new character, but exit the game when it asks you where to start. When you log back in, the character will be created and without a prompt you will enter this tutorial area.
There really is no benefit to this as far as I could tell. Seems like there might've been rewards for completing it that can't be triggered and an NPC that should give you items, but they don't seem to appear.
Other than that, just talk to guide for lv20 and usual gear and use the Driver in the grass map to go to any normal city.

I know there are slash commands for various teleports, but you can use Daily Quests for free teleports to all mob maps regardless of level, without restrictions and for free. Just remember to abandon before you kill anything if you want to keep using this.

if you're doing the ecto quests for fame we figured out how the random quests work. Every 10 seconds on the 7th second, the quest offered by the high level quest manager changes. The ecto quest specifically is offered every minute from mm:27 - mm:37. So no need to mash. Just open up a clock that shows seconds.

There's an okay way to grind fame by doing Ectoplasm quests.
Start by buying a stack of Ectoplasm from player vendors. You can find it by going Menu > Magnifying glass icon, then seaching for 'Ectoplasm' (case sensitive). You can find it for around 2.5k each. This'll cost you about 1mil for a whole stack upfront.
After that, warp to Madelin and find the High Level Quest Manager NPC. On about the 27th-30th to about the 34th-37th second of every minute, he'll offer a quest that asks for 30 Ectoplasm. Grab it and complete it for both fame and money. You lose some amount of cash per stack of Ectoplasm, about 20k, I think. You do make most of your 1 mil back, at least.
Each stack of Ectoplasm gives around 7k fame and you can do this up to around 38k fame, after which he no longer offers the quest.

A stack is 600 pieces. A turn in is 30 pieces and gives 380 fame. Starting from 0 that would mean 103 turn ins to max it so 3090 pieces. Or 5 stacks + 90 pieces.
If you use a clock/timer you can get 2-3 turn ins per minute. So about half an hour to an hour at the npc.

there are few or no shops in Elim on that server. You can freely switch between Normal 1 and 2. You just can't switch to Arus.

I succesfully avoided Jason Vorhees.

There was an event earlier today, a hide-and-seek with Jason chasing players. It was very half-assed, and the rewards were essentially trash, but I guess it's nice to catch an event during our short stay.

How do I get past this? Talked to all NPCs related to this, D.Igger (and his clones) have no yellow text anymore. Wiki says I need to threaten brainwashed fairies, but neither of them reacts to any dialogue option.
Only thing I can think of is that I might need a party of 4 for the fairies to let me past them.

They also unbanned a number of "words", like tai, gai, ass, asu, suc, so talking is a little bit more bearable.
For some reason, the damage we deal may have been severely nerfed as well. I was dealing less than half my usual damage in Alcanez, though it may be a case of buffing dungeon enemies specifically, I can't tell for sure.

I found it oddly annoying and player-hostile in a lot of ways. Also very stressful visuals/animations; shit never stands still for even a second. Everything rotates and spins and jumps all the time.

I thought it had a lot of pros, and a lot of cons. Appealing visually, fun monster designs, equipment looks great, weapons look great too (and some are comical), lots of accessories to wear. Convenient teleports between areas without asking for money, quick pace thanks to fast level ups, so you keep seeing new things. Jobs are entertaining and there are a number of original ones. We were also given a lot of stuff for free that most games wouldn't give you, like mounts, costumes, stat/skill resets.
However, the game has a horrible UI, a serious botting problem (and it's designed around botting too), grinding for fame is a pain, class/skill balance is messy, locking content to a specific level-interval is vile, and the drop rate situation is pretty annoying too.

Didn't dislike it, it was much better than I expected when it won the poll.

It's an "almost-fun" game. Has parts that could be good and then they go ahead and ruin it.
Crafting is pretty straightforward... But locked behind a single class for both the actual crafting and efficient farming of mats.
Speaking of farming. This is the first game I've seen where botting is explicitly legalized via an in game (cash shop) item. And it shows immediately why botting is cancerous.
Has optional quests that don't ruin other stuff you may want to do, but if you do want to do quests it clogs up your inventory making it a pain to do them at all.
The player market is also petty impenetrable as a new player, which is exacerbated by the botting since entrenched players will hog the good drops making it difficult for new players to effectively make money.
There's more I can go on about.
