My Hero Ultra Rumble is a F2P battle royale game based off the My Hero Academia anime. It features various characters from the series (with more to be added), each with a unique playstyle and different costumes. Team up with other players or go in solo and try to become the champion!
The game is available on Steam, Playstation, XBOX, and Switch, with crossplay between all platforms.

>>1811956For cheap tunings, I go with Revenge Technical and GP Sucker (GP Sucker is bad at low levels, but his Revenge Technical costume selection is limited.) You get the equivalent of a level 1 Tech card when your guard breaks, which could be the difference in your gamma coming back fast enough to escape.
Trance Blow wouldn't be a bad budget tuning either, although he could only activate it once per minute. He's got costumes that would allow for Trance Blow+Divine Protection or Trance Blow+Camouflage, both good options.
Muscle Form's flinch resistance would guarantee your ability to pick up a teammate and get away while you're in PU.
For PUR, I don't think I'd go with Kurogiri's setup. Among all the characters with revive SAs, Compress's is one of the weakest (you drop people if staggered just like Iida or Deku, but the pickup animation is slower and the release animation is MUCH slower, so you're much more likely to be forced to drop them,) so Reinforced Revive might not come into play very often. Kota Finder isn't bad, but Compress's movement in the early game isn't that great, and he might have a tough time getting to Kota before someone else does if he doesn't spawn close. His capacity to fight for Kota if someone else is there is also pretty bad.
Instead, I might recommend:
>Card DuplicationCompress is fairly level-hungry, and if you can secure KOs, this will let you hit alpha 9+gamma 9 much faster.
>Divine ProtectionWith his ability to use his gamma to quickly get in and out, you could potentially steal every large box.
>Trance BlowCompress's alpha has nearly no down power (only 10 on the object and the splash damage) so the x3 multiplier from the Brainwashed debuff doesn't mean much. If you can jab someone, you can drown them in trucks while their movement is slowed.
>Wall RunnerWould let you conserve your gammas for strictly horizontal movement.
>Space HopMight make it easier to land trucks, if you're always tossing them from above ground level.

There's a tech you can do where you can cancel his melee directly into his alpha with no endlag, which Embrittlement can enhance.
For the tech, do a neutral (no movement input) melee, then when the particle effects on his cane just about disappear, initiate the second melee, then immediately move+alpha.
>what would you use for tournament play?For one thing, I wouldn't recommend going into a tournament without PUR tuning. I mean if a character is your main and the gacha hasn't favored you, it is what it is, but it's very far from ideal.
I haven't spent the resources to tune Compress yet since I don't play him much aside from when I get his blood as Toga, but my gut says I'd go for his Disguise: Sweater (Heat) costume with Space Hop and Trance Blow.
I feel like Space Hop might make it easier to land alphas, and Trance Blow could allow for heavy single-target damage if I'm able to land a melee.
This is just theorycrafting though, I haven't actually tried either of these tunings on him in practice.

Hell, if you wanna be a little tricky you can do that chain again and then alpha to keep someone stunned for your other beamer. Is Mirio's SA instant? And is there a way to know when it wears off? He's pretty easy to fight but hard to catch his wake-ups or even chase him when he pops beta.

I fiddled with mouse settings for hours, tried many key layouts in an attempt to make aiming and shooting more comfortable but I ended up having to avoid characters that rely on aiming anyways because I just couldn't do it. And turns out it was mostly, my aim still needs a lot of work thanks to a hidden setting you have to go out of your way to modify. What the fuck Byking, seriously.

If you're gonna mess with the .ini a little more for whatever reason don't change the ViewDistanceQuality setting, it affects the player/civilian/item render distance. The default is 3 (0/1/2/3/4 Low/Med/Epic/Cinematic level) and it should remain at 3.

Will Ultra Rumble survive OJ3/All's Justice
>>1815262In training mode, I found USJ to be the best map for testing that out. For civilians, destroy blue circle in pic related and walk into the red circle until they're gone. For player rendering, spawn on top of that dome exit just like in the picture, pull a bot on top of it with Deku's Whip and melee him so he's against the wall and on the left or right edge. Then walk back to the stairs and as the HP UI will get in your way, use aim mode and watch out for their legs disappearing as confirmation. Alternatively, get on top of the Typhoon zone and find an angle. I'm too lazy to check if there's one between Cinematic which isn't ever used for gameplay and Epic, but if you spot it please share your findings. This is also a good opportunity to see how you can instantly lose the game more often for apparently no reason by checking the difference between 0 and 3 if you were editing the .ini without any knowledge.

Maybe it has to do with my input method? I use a trackball, so my playstyle doesn't typically involve smoothly tracking targets to begin with, since I can only turn so far before needing to reposition my thumb.
I didn't really feel any major difference while playing, and the footage I took for comparison looks pretty much the same to me.
Didn't notice a difference for effects. In the first picture there was fighting going on near the western aqua zone caves and I could see the effects just fine. But as you can see by the Kurogiri the models are a different story. At that distance most models either disappear or turn into jittery black smudges.
In the second picture luckily there was another Kurogiri and at around the same distance and looks a lot better. And you can barely tell MY HERO is arriving to the scene in the yellow circle. Didn't notice anything different about the effects compared to the normal settings, visible at around the same distance and with practically the same quality.
Definitely keeping this on going forward, at least to see if something else changes.

Mouse smoothing is just interpolation to make the movement of the cursor smoother (at the expense of being less 1-to-1 with the actual mouse movement) but it doesn't cause travel distance to be dependent on speed like mouse acceleration does.

Yep, All's Justice is the game that will have CaC because there are not a lot of characters they can add to All's Justice besides the 20 different versions of Bakugou and Deku. Also, One's Justice is the MHA game that had the character customization in it, so it makes sense that create-a-character will be in it.

The primary reason why mouse acceleration is bad for games is that it reduces the accuracy of your physical movement, so to speak.
Imagine you're playing a shooting game, and you have to move your mouse 4 inches to turn 180 degrees. You can develop muscle memory in order to quickly snap around and shoot someone behind you, knowing intuitively how far you need to move the mouse for that.
If you have mouse acceleration turned on, it adds an additional confounding factor in the sense that how far you turn is now not only dependent on how far you move the mouse, but how QUICKLY you move the mouse that distance. If you move your mouse the customary 4 inches to hit that guy behind you, but you do it much faster than normal (as you might if you had been taken by surprise, for example) you will overshoot the 180 and miss your target, because the additional speed will cause you to turn farther for the same physical mouse movement.
It's not impossible to develop muscle memory for both distance and speed while aiming, but it's unnecessarily more difficult. The primary advantage of mouse acceleration, needing less physical space for the mouse, is less important for gaming as most people with gaming setups have quite a large mouse area to begin with.

Pretty much every game ignores your Windows settings and takes raw mouse input, which is why games all have their own sensitivity settings instead of using your Windows system sensitivity.
Are you even sure you ARE playing games with it active? I wouldn't bet on it unless you see an actual setting for mouse acceleration in the game itself.
You can easily test it anyway - load up the game, swipe your view from one side to the other slowly, then again quickly, and compare the distances.
If you play better/well enough with it than without it, fair enough, but objectively it is not ideal for things like FPS games.

Worth noting is that MHUR seems to have a minor amount of inherent mouse acceleration, even with the mouse smoothing setting disabled (which may be irrelevant, as devs only conflate mouse acceleration with mouse smoothing SOMETIMES.)
It could potentially also be my Windows settings bleeding in (I definitely have mouse acceleration enabled in Windows in general) but the game acceleration compared to my OS acceleration is so slight that I'm not sure that's what it is.

However, Overhaul's SA only has 100 down power, which implies that it is a soft knockdown like All Might's beta. Kiri's SA should allow him to tank this, so if it knocked him down, I'm guessing either it has special snowflake coding like AfO's gamma which doesn't rely on down power, or he had been taking hits up until that point and Overhaul's SA just happened to push Kiri past 500 down power by coincidence.

You don't just stop it at 1%, you have to stop it at what feels like 0.2%, which is hard to do since the game doesn't show you decimals, my way of doing it is by letting it "hang" or stay at 1% for a couple of frames before turning it off, also you dont have to activate it immediately, you just have to turn it back on before it starts recharging. (i like to wait 1 or 2 seconds before turning it back on and holding forwards while doing it, but those are probably just placebos).
Once i got more familiar with the timing, i was able to activate the glitch around 8 times in a row, it's almost as easy as doing the lida gamma glitch.
Also, i manage to find a way to glitch my way out of chaos city's glass dome, its pretty cool out here, bit creepy, i'll see if i can find any neat OOB spots.

Found the other end of the bridge, the tunnels and the poles near it have collision despite being all the way out here, there's quite a few things with collision actually, more than i expected.

The costume pick-up rolls are fucking awful value, considering how slowly crystals are accumulated. You can get enough roll tickets to pity a character in 1.5 seasons, but getting enough crystals to pity a costume in the pick-up roll would take 7 seasons even if you devoted ALL your crystal profits to it.
I feel like they only exist to bait whales or trick normal people into spending $10-$30 on them for no value.
I mean, the normal rolls are bad monetary value as well ($200 to pity a costume, $400 to pity a character) but at least you can reasonably grind for those.
Unfortunately, you're better off waiting for Shiggy to get a new PUR costume that will be featured in a regular banner or a license/ranked reward.

Any character or skillset banner will have at least one costume for that character. Sometimes it has two costumes for that character, and if so, one of them will be an old one. Sometimes a banner might have an old costume for a different, but related character as well.
For example, Toga's damaged costume debuted in S6, but was featured in S9 for her skillset banner as well as S10 for Dabi's skillset banner.
Aizawa's festival outfit debuted in S6, but was featured again in S10 for Mic's banner.
Shiggy's disguise PUR has been in the game since release, but has not been featured since S4. His LoV suit has not been featured since its debut in S5.
Given how long it's been, the odds that one of those will show up in a banner in the next season or two seems good. However, I don't know how much a character's popularity (or how long it's been since having a costume pick-up roll, which Shiggy is having right now) might affect things.
For example, Strike Dabi has been featured in 4 banners, while Strike Deku has had only 2 (the latest of which was just over a year ago) so the devs do seem to play favorites to some degree.

Infinite Hardening bug is fucking stupid, been messing around with it. Way too easy to pull off once you learn the timing and it NEVER turns off thanks to the knockdown balance change, the only way you lose it is by going down, and even then you can just re-activate it.
I pray to GOD that i never run into a cracked strike kiri using this shit, even just assault kiri himself feels like another character with it on, this nigga is the closest thing in the game you can get to a literal tank.

Soloqueue/duo players are more likely to be matched up against other soloqueue/duo teams, and less likely to be matched up against full teams.
You also now receive additional rank points for killing a higher-ranked player or assisting a teammate in killing a higher-ranked player, as well as for killing or assisting against a player who is a member of a full team.
Basically, the enemies you face are now weaker on average than they have ever been, and there are more potential sources of rank points during a match than there have ever been.

It's not as wide and he can't angle it upward, so it's slightly less good at protecting teammates. He also can't repeatedly flash it on and off like Kendo can, since Kiri does the slam when he releases his shield. This can *usually* be dodged and punished, as well.
Unfortunately, Kiri's beta slam can be canceled into his alpha (if his target is close) or alpha->gamma (if his target is far) which means that if you're up against a skilled player and you roll in anticipation of the slam, you're going to get hit by one of those attacks instead of being able to punish Kiri since the timing for your roll will be off, and if you're close enough for his alpha to land he can lock you into a combo afterward. A Kiri who is skilled enough to exploit this can't really ever be punished, and it's one of the reasons why Strike Kiri is stupidly powerful.
If you're dealing with a mediocre Kiri, dodge his beta when you see him do the little hop just before the slam, and punish him during his beta's ending.
If you're dealing with a skilled Kiri, stay away from him/elevated enough to avoid his beta entirely if at all possible, and hit him with projectiles while dodging his rocks. If he touches you on the ground, he's going to combo you for like 300-400 damage.

Speed tunings are nonfunctional, reload speed tunings have so little impact that even doubling them is barely noticeable, there aren't enough defense tunings to make an all-in defense build, the extra HP from doubling all possible HP tunings isn't worth a special slot, and the vast majority of characters (Compress included) don't have a costume with enough red slots in one column to effectively exploit Fixer for damage.
I hate being stuck between discord players. They're coordinated and have privately set their own pace, leaving me as the third wheel who doesn't know what the others wanna do.

Let's say you build for alpha damage and gamma cooldown, because he rarely runs out of alphas and his gamma is not a reliable source of damage.
The right column has 1 red slot, and one purple hero slot, for 4.5% alpha damage. That comes out to 9.45% with level 11 Fixer. Then from the other purple slot and the blue slot you could get an extra 4% gamma reload speed, or 8.4% with Fixer.
Overall, the costume would give you, among other less useful buffs, 11.95% alpha damage and 10.9% gamma reload speed.
Meanwhile, his League of Villains (Dangerous) costume would give you 10.5% increased alpha damage toward HP, 9% increased alpha damage toward GP, and 2% gamma reload speed.
His Sweater (Hero Style) costume would give you 8.5% increased alpha damage and 2.5% gamma reload speed.
These are less than the Fixer build, true. But think about what you are giving up when you run Fixer, and what you're getting in return.
That 1.5%-3% damage over the LoV build only amounts to another 2-3 damage on a 100-damage alpha (truck+splash damage.) The 8.5% additional reload speed over the other sweater build only amounts to 0.4 seconds saved on reloading one gamma and 0.56 seconds saved on reloading from empty. Consider that having even a single Technical teammate provides a 10% reload speed bonus, and even that is rarely perceptible.
Is 3 damage per shot and half a second of reload time worth sacrificing the potential to run High-Speed Replenishment, or Space Hop on the LoV build, or any number of other special tunings on the other costumes?
The question isn't whether having Fixer is better than not having Fixer. It will almost always cause you to come out farther ahead on your minor tunings than you would on any costume without Fixer.
The question is whether you come out far ENOUGH ahead to justify sacrificing a special tuning slot. I feel like the answer is no for any costume that doesn't have a nearly optimal slot distribution.

Cementoss's beta is honestly pretty ludicrous. 180 damage on an enormous attack with decent range that also provides cover AND elevation, and the only caveat is that you have to be touching the ground.

I didn't play much of OJ2 (didn't even buy it), but from what i remember, i had a pretty good time playing with my friend a couple of times over at his house, the netcode was also suprisingly good for an anime fighting game without rollback.
I'll definitely look into getting AllJ if the gameplay and demo are fun.

Beyond that, I can only suggest not making the mistake of dodging away from Kendo as she does her gamma. The hitbox extends quite far in front of her, so dodging toward her/to the side is a much safer option.

Strike Kendo's melee has a much farther tracking range, but the same speed as Assault Kendo's melee, which means it approaches VERY fast. Kendo's melee was already one of the best in the game, but now it might be THE best.
Strike Kendo's full melee string also sends an enemy into hard knockdown, so it can't be combo'd, whereas Assault Kendo's full melee string knocks an enemy into the air, but only has 400 down power so it can still be combo'd.

The patch notes of course specify the thing about his gamma range at low FPS, but it turns out they secretly changed the way his gamma works in general.
Against enemies with GP, his combos are unchanged. However, against guardbroken enemies, his gamma will now only successfully stun an enemy who is in soft knockdown if that enemy HASN'T taken any damage since being knocked down.
What this means is that if you gamma->gamma, the first gamma will knock the enemy away and the second gamma will stop the enemy in midair and continue the chain. If you gamma->alpha->gamma, the first gamma will knock the enemy away, but the second gamma will do nothing to them and the enemy will just hit the ground.
TL;DR Twice's bread-and-butter alpha->gamma->alpha->gamma->beta combo now ONLY works on enemies with GP. For guardbroken enemies, he is limited to alpha->gamma->beta at most.
Of course, even this combo deals nearly 300 damage, but it's something. The removal of the second alpha shaves about 100 damage off his primary combo.

Strike Kendo's alpha staggers with every hit. It doesn't seem like she can fire it fast enough to make it a true combo with itself, but she can use the stagger as an opening to combo her other moves.
Her charged alpha has 500 down power, which means it not only knocks down with each hit, but can overpower even armored moves.
Interestingly, she can fire an uncharged alpha almost immediately after firing a charged alpha. Much faster than firing two uncharged alphas.
This isn't really useful against a single target since the charged alpha would cause a hard knockdown, but might be useful against two targets.

This means that for any close-range move that deals over 100 damage, Kendo's beta is an INSTANT 270 damage counter to it. It doesn't even matter if the enemy move staggers or knocks down, because Strike Kendo's beta grants stagger resistance AND negates all down power. She can tank a gamma from Assault Kendo and then immediately retaliate with even more damage than Assault Kendo's gamma would deal even before reduction. Additionally, contact moves (even armored ones) that hit her during her beta suffer recoil as though the enemy had hit a solid shield, which further sets them up for the counterattack.
Her beta is also great for mobility. Since it can be roll-canceled and doesn't consume its ammo until the actual slam, you can use it to dash over and over on the ground.
The only thing that seems to beat Kendo's beta is grab-

The only thing that seems to beat Kendo's beta is ranged grab-type moves like Aizawa's alpha, Shinso's alpha, and AfO's gamma.
Strike Kendo's gamma spin can hit twice before knocking the enemy down. The finishing slap has less down power, which means it can actually be combo'd into a melee or alpha. If used on the ground it can be steered like Rapid Ochaco's beta. Used in the air, although it grants some aerial mobility, it can't be steered. The direction and angle of ascent is based entirely on where you're looking when you start the move. Also, her aerial gamma travels in an arc that starts to descend toward the end, so if you're aiming for maximum height, it's better to stop it a little early.
Overall, Strike Kendo seems very strong. She's got decent height and great distance on her air mobility, good speed on her ground mobility, staggers and knockdowns on a 100-damage ranged alpha, a 270-damage counter move that seems like it will beat pretty much every close-range high-damage move in the game, and a lot of combo potential considering a lot of her moves can be canceled into other moves.

I always feel a little bad after someone I was emoting/messing around with in Solo lobbies ends up emoting again + leaving me be/ in this case outright helping me a bit during the match itself. A Kendo jumped in while I was against a Deku and I was able to heal while she got the kill. Feels like teaming somewhat even if we only just met and otherwise didn't fight together.
