I've got two characters in different scenarios. If not for the progression wipes I would love this game a lot more. The combat is surprisingly satisfying, the building system is pretty interesting, and there never seems to be a shortage of things to do.

I tried to play it again recently and it just didn't stick, idk how I put like 150hrs into this game at launch. Probably building my base or whatever. Idk it was just super boring and unexciting when I returned, enemies were still as weird and laggy as they always were. The whole scenario shit is way too convoluted too, since they don't do a good job at explaining what they actually involve. Also the cosmetics are hideous, I don't dislike cosmetics but the ones in this game are god awful and obnoxious, and way too much blatantly ugly clothing that looks like it was made ugly on purpose.

You can still build bases underwater, bingo and savior set are still the only options for a build, devs continue to release new scenarios instead of polishing the core game and earlier scenarios, etc
I really want to like the game, but i dont want to play another scenario of everyone 1 hitting everyone with bingo

Stop playing exclusively PvP servers then. Forming teams in PvE and assaulting POIs and doing dungeon raids and shit is what makes the game fun. PvP is always fucking shit.

I have about 350 hours in OH. I'm currently playing WoW with my sister, and we're having a blast. I just found a pollution zone with oil, so I don't have to worry about making a thermal tower. I just can't settle on what I want my base to look like

I enjoyed my first time playing, discovering stuff and trading unique items with players based on those limited perks you get. The scenario I tried a month or so after felt fairly unfinished compared to the first, with a bunch of locations being spread out it didn't feel interesting. That plus most enemies still died easily to melee which felt boring.

Another thing that was annoying similar to what >>1833744 said is a few weapons being overpowered when I usually preferred how more of the epic tier weapons handled.

Gotta be honest, I've taken my first character over to the Way of Winter scenario now and I just end up using the highest tier I can afford of whatever weapons I've unlocked. I have had little trouble in terms of weapon power, except when enemy level exceeds 50, which to me is bullshit because player level can't surpass 50. I get that they're trying to encourage grouping up with other players, but I'm also somewhat asocial and hardly encounter other players on my servers, so it's almost a moot point.
