Team Arena Master is the major game type played. It's round based and you spawn with all the weapons.

How varied are the skill levels in games? I have barely played UT2K4 online so i wonder if i get my ass kicked or not, still will try 2k4 these days regardless

there's all kinds, but most people are a pretty good as they've all been playing it for 20+ years. It's easy to pickup and learn though if you put in the effort, there's guides for everything.
