So you know the tech where Compress can cancel a neutral melee into his alpha? It turns out that's not unique to Compress. After realizing that Nejire can do it, I tested every character in the roster.
Compress, Nejire, and Shiggy can all do it easily and benefit from it. Compress can cancel his second melee into alpha. Nejire can cancel her full melee combo into an alpha or gamma. Strike Shiggy can cancel his full melee combo into his gamma, and Assault Shiggy can cancel his second melee into any of his moves. Technically he can do his full combo and cancel it, but his last hit knocks the enemy away and it doesn't seem like any of his moves are fast enough to damage the enemy before they hit the ground and get iframes.
Strike Kendo can do it, though not in the traditional way. Instead, jumping at any point during her melee will interrupt it, and then any other move can be used before she leaves the ground in order to interrupt the jump animation.
Monoma and Hawks can do it easily, but don't benefit from it. The second hit of Monoma's melee is a hard knockdown, and all of Hawks's moves combo into his melee already (and its down power is too high for him to just do a double melee combo.)
Mt. Lady and Dabi can do it, but the timing is uncomfortably tight. It would require a lot of training and would be easy to mess up even then.
Shinso and Toga can do it, but the timing is so tight that it seems completely infeasible.
As far as I've been able to tell in my testing, no other character can use this mechanic at all.

As far as the actual combos mentioned, I was testing them all on HP, though the cancel is so fast I find it hard to believe it would be different on GP.

For one thing, alpha wouldn't damage then while you're holding them in your gamma, but also I think the alpha animation would take too long and result in them getting iframes.
Try the combo I mentioned, melee 1-2-3 into gamma. That's 330 damage at level 9, 145 of which is HP damage.

It's not the combo I described and I don't have any real tunings but I think it's worth it as it's a true combo on HP. The melee 123 into gamma sounds good when there's some elevation involved so you can tack on SA if they refuse to quick wake up. Not going to bother recording any combos on GP, it's nigh impossible. I've already tried it and nothing good was captured.

That said, it won't work with the melee combo specifically. His full melee combo already puts the enemy at 400 down power and his gamma adds on another 100 and change, so they'll be in hard knockdown at the end of that.

Your combo does, the melee x2, cancel, melee x2 alpha gamma or even x2 x2 gamma doesn't seem like it does at all.

I have memory of gamma->special action being an easy no-requirements combo for Shiggy, to the point that when fighting against him it became common practice to ALWAYS wakeup after his gamma in order to avoid the inevitable SA. WebM related, this is from a live round on April 23rd.
I asked in the Shiggy channel in the official Discord and someone said that the combo never works in Training Mode to begin with (Training Mode is 99% mechanically sound, but there are a few things that work differently than they do in real matches) and that it only sometimes works in live matches. Apparently his gamma will sometimes throw enemies higher than usual, which allows his SA to connect, but I don't know if anyone knows when/why that happens.
I've played a few Solos rounds, and I'm thinking it's a bot/real player thing.
I can't get the combo to work on bots ANYWHERE. Not in Training, not in the lobby, not even in a live match. Yet, it seems to work for me every time when I use it on a real player (if they don't wakeup out of it.)
Assuming that's the case, there's no special way to execute it. Just mash SA after you toss the enemy and you'll hit them.

What are they feeding these frogs?
The froppy revive moves the ally target and then revives them. The SA charge is not consumed until the revive happens. If there was a reliable way to keep interrupting the animation before the ally reaches you, you could potentially drag an ally quite far in multiple steps.

I'm thinking of a character from the launch roster that, despite many buffs, and despite the fact that they can do good damage, is still bottom tier because the average character (and especially post-launch characters) is designed in a way that screws them over the hardest.
Whats the more popular mode, team or solo?

So unfortunately, i can't afford to waste 100 of denki's data without even knowing if i'll like electrification over my current aizawa tuning, it's too big of a risk for a resource i find very valuable. (and extremely hard to get, i swear i have 300+ of all other data's, even for characters i don't own.)

Ever since I heard about how there are aimbots in here that have the capabilities to try and look inconspicuous when someone is spectating I have been having my doubts about so many players I run into at Ace Rank. Especially in regards to wall hacks.

And another thing that helps obscure this is the fact that controller auto aim works overtime if you're running the game at a high frame rate (>144), this buffs auto aim by a significant margin. Moving onto spotting them, obvious clues are aim mode instant snaps to characters in close range (you are definitely not hitting everything at 10 FOV/fish lens with low mouse sens although this can also be auto aim), micro-adjustments to their aim immediately after flicking while sprint dash jumping (perhaps impossible to notice on the current tickrate) or floaty aim with nearly no adjustments combined with movement while landing every single hit.
It's nothing new and it affects every FPS game at this point. Hell, CS2 still has a hard time figuring it out with replays on an actual decent tickrate, such as 128 on FACEIT/unofficial/etc and 64 on official servers. Unfortunately, Valve's still busy developing their AI anti-cheat but it's been shown to be very promising so for now we just gotta deal with it if they bought really good and expensive cheats and report suspicious script users.
Can Byking deploy the big nerf patch across the board already or hotfix buff Compass beta to work on shit like Rapid Toga beta or gamma? God forbid you're at least able to block the blood siphon while she's spamming 100 damage aoe dags

250 damage on a ranged attack is still pretty good, sure, but only if it actually lands. It was always tough to land hits with Momo's cannons due to the setup time and travel time, but prior to the nerf, her gamma made up with that with its blitz potential. It didn't matter if her gamma hit nothing 4/5 times if it gave you a chance at crippling a player or an entire team 1/5 times.
Post-nerf, her gamma is just as unreliable as it has always been, except now it doesn't even make up for it with the potential for massive damage.

She is unlikely to hit anyone unless they are stationary AND she takes them completely by surprise. If they wanted to reduce the chance of someone being atomized while they're opening a large box or because they weren't watching the entrances to a room, fair enough, but then they need to increase the fire rate or explosion size or something in exchange so her gamma can be used to damage enemies who are actually paying attention. Maybe add another cannon ball or two to each cannon so they can act as area denial longer.

Sure, technically Momo has the greatest range out of everyone. But what's the point? If you're standing on the roof of UA and you hit someone at the mall with your cannons, you've accomplished what? Making them drink a large potion? At a certain point you're too far to capitalize on the damage you deal even if you CAN hit them, so the extreme range isn't practical unless you're expecting your Rapid teammates to leave you behind and get all the way over there before the enemy is even able to heal, which seems unlikely and would still put your teammates in a 2v3.

Many special actions work this way. Froggy catch ammo is not consumed until the target has completed the revive animation, which allows you to slide the ally target multiple times as long as you don't complete the revive.

So if Shinso's SA projectile travels a certain distance through the air, it disappears and goes on cooldown. If it hits a part of the environment like a wall or floor, it goes on cooldown. If it hits an enemy, then it obviously just hits the enemy.
However, if Shinso's SA projectile is BLOCKED by a move, the projectile is deleted, but the ability does not go on cooldown and can immediately be fired again. This appears to apply to all blocking moves - Kendo's beta, Compress's beta, Momo's beta, All Might's gamma, and Mirio's gamma. Any move that can block projectiles appears to work this way, though moves that reflect projectiles will never reflect Shinso's SA - they just delete it.
That's what was happening in the clip. When Momo is still holding her shield, it blocks projectiles like a shield move. Interestingly, after Momo's beta is placed, it becomes terrain and Shinso's SA WILL go on cooldown after hitting it.

What is it with most of the AoE vomit in this game hitting through walls? This means that you can hit people behind total cover if you aim to the side of the cover, because your attack won't "hit" the wall, but is large enough that it will still damage the enemy behind the wall as it continues past.

It doesn't make logical sense, but it does give those characters options they can play around and prevents Shiggy from being the only character who can threaten someone who is standing behind a wall.

Best thing to do in that situation is to just get outside the horizontal range. If the building is small enough that the entire interior is inside her stomp hitbox, you just have to leave the building and try to put some distance between you.

Strike Deku does more damage than Denki at longer range while having more mobility, utility, and combo ability. Mic's alpha is lower damage, but he has his SA and a very easy massive damage combo. Shoto can nuke anyone who gets anywhere near him with 200 instant damage very easily, and he actually has the horizontal mobility necessary to chase.
Even Nejire's alpha deals nearly as much damage as Strike Denki's, and she's not even a Strike character.
Strike Denki isn't "bad" because like any beamer, if you can land your alphas, 95 damage per alpha is going to hurt a lot. In low-level play, landing his gamma or SA on someone can allow you to deal very heavy, safe damage.
But in high-level play, he's just outclassed by pretty much every other beamer because they all have more mobility/utility/options than he does, in exchange for slightly lower beta damage.
I'd argue even AfO is better than Strike Denki in spite of having even less mobility, because AfO's gamma+beta are even better for area control than Strike Denki's beta, and AfO's beta actually staggers so you can get full damage out of it/use it while in someone's face instead of hitting someone through the wall for 1-2 ticks before they just roll out of it.

Yellow Shiggy has a lot of good qualities, but I never thought much of him. Probably another red kiri situation where I haven't met a good assault Shiggy player yet, and the character himself is pretty rare to come by.
As for tech Toga CD refresh is alright, but I feel she is held back by her base moveset being mediocre, her gamma being too easy to avoid or block and the learning curve required to play her well being a bit steep and the fact that knowledge could go to Rapid Toga instead who feels like an actual character instead of a crutch to keep a strong SA balanced. If her rapid version weren't part of the equation I'd rate her higher.

In the top-right of every team, there's a figure called "Team POW" which I assume stands for "team power."
It might be based on MVP ranking or some new metric, but it seems like they're trying to quantify the strength of each team as a whole, based on the strengths of its members. It could even be the same internal metric they used for this season to try and do SBMM, but either way now it's going to be publicly visible.

Tamaki's gamma just seems better than Strike Endeavor's gamma in literally every way. Farther range and wider beam, while still being able to be swiveled and used in midair. You can optionally charge it, but the charging doesn't really give away your position since the red indicator only appears when you fire. I expect it will deal at least as much damage as Endeavor's gamma as well, if not more.
I like how Overhaul's level 9 gamma visual effect when you get hit by it changed, but no one actually plays him to notice that little change.

Getting back in to this game. Man this game is unplayable on Switch. What character has the most genourous aim? I remember Dabi has autotracking and Iida was good at one point.

Kurogiri's gamma mode has a bit of a delay when firing its beta now, like 0.3 seconds. A little bit annoying and I can't tell if it's completely unintentional or a lazy method to fix the bug they mentioned, but it's not the end of the world.
Rapid Ochaco's mailbox goes REALLY far when thrown now. Like she could use it to snipe someone who's opening a large box, if her aim was good enough.
Can't really feel a difference with the Strike Bakugo gamma buff. If you just tap it, you're likely to land the final hit on the enemy, but if you hold it down, they'll still fall out unless you're up against a wall or something.
I think the Tech Shoto ice nerf is going to make fighting him much less of a headache for close-range characters. The ice only lasts as long as his alpha animation itself now, like 0.5 seconds or less.
The Assault Kiri buff is very noticeable. Keeping people in your alpha is no trouble at all now even if they have GP, even if you weave back and forth a little bit while using it as well.
The movement speed increase of Froppy's gamma is 20%. Not enough to make it a GOOD move, but it's pretty nice. I wonder if the same applies to the Camouflage tuning.
The height that Mirio can now traverse during his beta is actually pretty large - around as tall as he is. The days of accidentally surfacing because of a curb or a pebble are going to be over completely. Going off ledges with a longer drop than that will still make him ascend automatically.
It costs 30% charge to activate Mirio's gamma and the animation consumes a few more, so if he's using it as an attack, he now gets THREE gammas before it is empty and begins recharging. Honestly an enormous buff for him.

If target becomes invalid, end animation, end ability.
So what happened here, first my ability kept repeatedly failing, probably because of the tree obstructing a clear path to me.
Then my target was revived while my ability was active, and so I lost my special action. But it wasn't me who revived the target, so it did not apply my "reinforced revive" buff.

I think pure ranged revives like Cementoss and Ibara don't care about it, but revives that displace the target at all (like for example, Iida's carry revive) can't be successfully used while your target is in the middle of being revived by the other teammate.

Tamaki's unscoped alpha has slightly longer range than Mt. Lady's alpha, and his scoped alpha has slightly longer range than his unscoped alpha. His skill description lists size increases at levels 4 and 9, but the reach doesn't seem any farther and the hitbox doesn't feel any larger, so I don't know.
Hitting with the tip of his unscoped alpha deals 60%-52% more damage (depending on level) but I'm not sure it's worth it to try for that since if you're slightly too far, you'll whiff the shot entirely. Nice bonus when it happens, though.
With 90 damage on the regular shot at level 9, he's on the upper end of beamers, but his rate of fire is lower than most beamers.
His scoped alpha is like a mix of the deployment (and down power) of Aizawa's alpha and the grab of Assault Deku's gamma. Its function seems to be mostly reeling people in for combos. Fortunately, since Tamaki's alpha has 100 down power, Trance Blow Tamaki is not going to be very good.
Tamaki's beta has a dash component and can be used in midair, so it serves as pretty decent mobility. I'm not sure how useful the cloaking is going to be, but it's nice that you can attack again with beta without breaking the cloaking. With 158 damage at level 9 and 2 ammo, Tamaki's beta hits pretty hard. It has 500 down power, but it can be used as a combo finisher.
Tamaki's SA covers mobility and attacking. It only deals 84 damage, but it only takes 4 seconds to recharge. It seems mostly useful for starting/extending combos, though the height from it will likely come in handy sometimes as well. It goes almost as high as Endeavor's vertical SA jump. I don't know how much down power it has exactly, but it's between 100 and 200.

It does do more damage (180 uncharged, 225 charged,) have around 2x the range, and reload 4 seconds faster, but the uncharged diameter is only about a third of Endeavor's gamma at level 9. The charged diameter is pretty similar to Endeavor's gamma, but you have to charge it for 5 seconds to achieve that (or have a Nejire with you.) The other important difference is that the turning speed while firing is WAY lower, like 1/3 Endeavor's turning speed when using his gamma. Tamaki's gamma has such a long range that if you're at max range you can sweep a decent area with the tip, but at mid range and especially close range, you're not going to cover much ground. For example, if Endeavor's team is fighting in a room, he can run outside the room and quickly sweep the whole room with his gamma to cook everyone inside. If Tamaki tried to do the same, he'd hardly be able to cover any of the room. Partly because of the small beam, but even if he took the time to charge, he wouldn't be able to sweep the whole room from that close. Tamaki's gamma is even more specialized for ambushing and third-partying than Endeavor's gamma is.
Charging Tamaki's gamma increases the diameter of the beam and the damage, but doesn't increase the duration or range. Interestingly, because his gamma locks him in midair (including the charge portion) he can use his gamma to air stall for 22 straight seconds since you can hold the charge for a while before it fires automatically. Unfortunately for him, his beta and SA don't recharge until he touches the ground, so if he uses those to gain that height, he'll be in bad shape when he finally lands.
Tamaki seems like an interesting character. Part beamer, part combo brawler, part long-range sniper, and with decent mobility. I don't feel like he'll be broken, but I expect he'll be strong.
