I like how the music you hear all the time like the general battle and tower boss themes are all awful garbage, but the ones you hear very rarely like the Legend theme or the more recent boss themes are absurdly good and need to be way louder

Still in the early game and raids are starting to get annoying. Do I need to build walls around the whole base yo delay them, or can I just build them in front of their seemingly pre-determined path? Iโd like to try to have them attack the walls while my pals AOE them to death. Theyโve become annoying enough that I have to actively defend along with the base pals now.

Xenolord is the coolest fucking thing in the world, I both love and hate that it's locked at the absolute end of the game
there are a couple of bug fixes with this update that should help issues with the server.
dimensional storage should be back, backups should work better, and performance should not degrade after a couple hours past a restart

Say they only got 20 dollars from each 30 dollar sale, from 15 million pc players (number from 2 years ago) and 10 million, (even ignoring playstation and switch), that would still be 500 million dollars. They have more money than they even know what to do with from their opening weekend alone, and refuse to hire more or more competent devs.
Money will never be a concern for the game in anybody's lifetime. They can literally, genuinely do whatever they want and it will never run out.

When I say refining, I'm not talking about rapidly increasing the game's scale, but addressing things for the current experience like long-standing graphics/clipping/LOD bugs, giant seams cutting through the map, sloppy/inconsistent collision on things which impacts movement and building, base pal and combat AI oddities, exploits I've used between major updates, etc.
New content and QoL features are nice to chew on for a while, but not a reason to forget about it imo, especially when they haven't been as transparent as they could be in patch notes or about what's on their radar unless it comes to major console bugs.

Man you guys need to make a base with one of the new jump gusts in it. It makes for such nifty navigation around your base and you can even activate it when clinging onto a wall. I have my foundations at ground level here, but I tested it and the bigger gusts are big enough that they work even if the foundations are elevated.

You will have to update all the paths to where your game files actually are, there are references within a few lines because lazy, some of the scripts are mine and some previous janny.
You will have to install rcon and update the password field and maybe port.
This is the basic bare minimum to keep a server going, it can be improved in places but at minimum this will protect your save.

I was thinking about moving it to a new server I was setting up at work but I have my concerns about uptime and then seeing the actual performance was a minor improvement I don't think it's worth it to do so. I'll give it a try in a month or two when the server playtime dies down. I can also move it off to a slightly better cheap vps around then if I figured out how to pay myself for the startup cost.

sweet, paldb updated the map to now show day and night temps of various regions. Areas without icons are always neutral. Emberstone Plateau (east south east on Feybreak island) has even wider temperature extremes than the desert at +4 day, -3 night
Xenolord is a bad localization that implies Xenolord has much more significance than it actually does.
Xenovader is called Xenoveda
Xenogard is called Xenoloda (Presumably pronounced "Shenorde", so basically Xenard, this was actually localized really well).
And then Xenolord is called Xenodran (Xenodoran).
Putting the characters for doran into google translate will literally just give you doran, as if it's just a name. Searching for doran will get you obscure results saying it's basically a word for a disturbance, upheaval, riot, etc.
Someone else would have to read the japanese journal entries to see if The Calamity is referred to as a doran, which would be insane lore confirmation.
I thought I had something when I saw that the japanese wiki had Jetragon's name auto translated to "Jedran", which would be pronounced "Jedoran", making the naming of Xenolord obvious, but the kanji very clearly says "Jedoragon"
But either way, Xenolord is apparently genuinely just meant as the third level of Xeno invader, the raid is just game mechanics, the trailer where Bjorn is attacked by multiples is not a mistake, and localizers ruin everything.
Jetragon was probably a Xenolord before defecting.

I finally get what the 3 tiers of favorite are for. They're just tags for letting you sort shit easier. If you're breeding an army, just favorite the ones with the traits you want so you can sort for them and condense them easy, set party pals to another favorite, etc. I would kind of rather you could set any kind of tag and have the same effect and sort by them. When you click the favorite icon, it gives a wall of emojis and you can pick one to use as a tag. Then you open the sort menu on the palbox and you can sort by any of them.

There's a potion you can craft that resets your level up stats if you want, but there's also potions that increase your stats. -Yakumo is not your get out of jail free card because getting the target with all the desired passives is extremely rare even with a max condensed Yakumo. Yakumo is an INVESTMENT into making your future breeding projects MASSIVELY quicker.
Do both the Yakumo investment and chain breeding because it's situational when they are better than the other.

I'm not sure if it really is faster but I may have found a more efficient route for breeding.
I'm calling it vibe breeding.
You basically only look at the gender and the passives, and you try to selectively breed regardless of what the actual pal is.
Whatever the hell you end up with you then breed to your goal pal using hopefully one breed utilising a zero passives pal.
This is only faster when:
You have a ton of zero passives pals
You have a good assortment of random passives, or you have a full collection of single passive pals
You are targeting a four passive build
None of the passives are found in the surgery table
But otherwise it seems to be fastest when you get average luck and all of the prerequisites align.
I'm not sure if it's faster either but another potential time save I've found is if one of your four passives in your build IS in the surgery table, then spam philanthropist on all your breeders and build for your three other passives, keeping philanthropist on as a 4th and in every step. Then finally swap it out with the actual skill you want in the table when you have one with the other 3 of the build.
Unsure if it's faster though than breeding for three only because philanthropist will kinda screw up the breeding calculation a bit

Maybe keep crafting spheres but don't sell them until you need the gold, hopefully you'll have something in your palbox you can use by then, also use the dimensional storage if you're running out of space, 300 pages worth of pals can be stored there

The more of one thing you stack the worse it gets, so especially if you're using booster pals, its better to use elemental passives, it's just that no serious pal is going to be stacked with 3 stab attacks because the game's attack balance is fucked. There are codes in the system for the pal to actually damage structures or other defiant things, but they have not been enabled, similar to implementing the predator pal value to show pals hunting pals (that are not a fixed event spawn). So far, the only act of rebellion that does work on low sanity is them stress eating with an angry emotion mark. We don't know if the other options will be enabled in the future or not.
