I finally made a lantern, but I always need to carry a stack of torches anyways so it ended up feeling kind of pointless for exploration. If I'm worried about falling in water, I just keep a single torch on a separate item slot. I can merge it back into the rest of the torches when I need to save space.

Best case scenario from the hytale news is that vintage story gets better terrain generation. I still have no idea why they hell they added boats when rivers don't exist and oceans require editing the world gen settings (which 90% of people don't do). It's a feature that's unusable for 90% of players.

It's been up since last week which is what I meant when saying fresh like the other anon pointed out. Most of the south part of the map towards 15k km has been explored. Rest of every other direction is free real estate and has yet to be documented. Don't really have to worry about being behind in tech age as server is hooge and it's not pvp oriented even if PvP is turned on. The worst thing you can encounter is probably the aurochs and elephants. They will gore you.

To flatten out that initial area I did basically terraform that entire fuckoff mountainside, and planned to extend terracing upwards. It's more tedious than anything else. The reason why the path is straight is because it follows the wall and was extended along the existing stone path.

dove here. it looks like the server autoupdated to 1.21 and bricked the world save. everyone else updating to 1.21 is getting their save bricked too. the last backup was 15 months ago. I think this is a good stopping point for the server since rone is sabotaging his own game.

Og is still around, I still have backups. I am still working on it. I also had a 12 day work week and am closing on my house. I will post an update over the weekend and if I fail at the latest backup, I will discuss which backup we will use. I upgraded to 80(2x16 2x24) and I'll STILL find myself running in to problems rarely if my browser runs long enough it whores out enough ram with VS at the same time for it to be noticeable. Though it's much improved since I got rid of that fucking age of confession mod. The arch ways for some reason use an INSANE amount of ram.
