I finally made a lantern, but I always need to carry a stack of torches anyways so it ended up feeling kind of pointless for exploration. If I'm worried about falling in water, I just keep a single torch on a separate item slot. I can merge it back into the rest of the torches when I need to save space.

Best case scenario from the hytale news is that vintage story gets better terrain generation. I still have no idea why they hell they added boats when rivers don't exist and oceans require editing the world gen settings (which 90% of people don't do). It's a feature that's unusable for 90% of players.

It's been up since last week which is what I meant when saying fresh like the other anon pointed out. Most of the south part of the map towards 15k km has been explored. Rest of every other direction is free real estate and has yet to be documented. Don't really have to worry about being behind in tech age as server is hooge and it's not pvp oriented even if PvP is turned on. The worst thing you can encounter is probably the aurochs and elephants. They will gore you.

Og is still around, I still have backups. I am still working on it. I also had a 12 day work week and am closing on my house. By default yea, if you try to farm below sea level it hits you with a malus to the effective light level something to tune of like 10% per block below sea level even if it's in an open air pit. Artificial light sources don't count for crops at all. It's just a retarded ronism that should be disabled in worldgen.

I do hope at some point underground instability is tweaked to be a little less frequent, or at the very least we're given a way of restoring stability to areas. I enjoy digging and having underground tunnels. At present, it's not exactly feasible to make sprawling complexes too deep underground, if at all.

What I would do is find some builds you like, maybe some world downloads, and copy the structures. You'll learn building methods and get an idea for a lot of things you wouldn't otherwise think about.

What you're asking for is coherent hydrology, which should actually be fairly easy to do with noise functions. All you need is an dendritic pattern adjusted for terrain topology.

Yes indeed it is the second modded serb. Done with the initial expansion for now. Working on a mage location to the base and once that's done renovations will be finished until more buildings are necessary. Was a clusterfuck of crates and cramped storage a few days ago now wide open. It's a lot comfier now than it was before.
