Depends on what you want to farm. At max condense you get a good chance at double drops. Katress is a popular one because 2x dog coin and gold from mimogs, and if you like mushrooms, Katress Ignis double mushroom drops from shroomers. Orserk was good for gobfin farming until kelpsea was able to drop pal fluids via ranch.

Oil is not a problem at all with 2 pumps going and research upgrades. And chromite isn't bad with Smokie + dungeon runs. Coralite is the only thing I agree with. I get that the devs are trying to keep material gathering varied, but there should have been a less common but more substantial gathering method like small water based that could give better coralite drops.

My main was Sweepa with all the possible benefits and he solos the game. The problem with that is that I don't want to use just one pal. i agree but its gotten a lot better, you can now change gender to fit the pal you need to breed, you have the option to get some passives per surgery table that give a little bit of wiggle room, condesed pals contain the number of pals already condensed in them, iv fruits are a thing, Braloha shortens the waiting for eggs to happen.

the only thing i think its still shit is the egg hatching thing, without putting the slider to 0 you would have to deal with dedicated bases full of incubators and managing temperatures. Its a since i would consider it a core part of the game but i rather just play without timer and save me the incubator spam

That's the intended experience, but in reality, breeding acts as your wall to a lot that content.
When you hit max level, for instance, what activities are available and appealing to you? As of right now in the latest update, I'd say these things:
1. Terraprisma farming
2. Raids
3. Coralum Ore farming
4. General optimization behavior

Terraprisma farming is not dependent on breeding, so you can do that.
Raids? Your regular pal team aren't tackling that, you need breeding.
Coralum ore? You *could*, except it will be a miserable experience before you have a movespeed-bred Neptilius, so why bother before breeding?
And general optimization behavior goes without saying on what necessitates that.

Realistically speaking which pal would be the tastiest?

so I can try out the new charge rifle, I got a purple schematic, it's fun having the dps output of a rocket launcher without the mess, with a sleek rifle as opposed to a bulky chunk of metal, the new facilities also look good and are smaller, plus magnet fishing is goated for books with a stack of jellroys. Just breed on the side for a good neptilius, it's very much worth it even with a regular one

What I meant is that you don't need to go 100% autism. You can breed a pal with 4 ideal passives, but not alpha or perfect IVs, and it's like 90% as good and takes a tiny fraction of the effort. Hatching a pal with just the four passives, barring terrible luck, doesn't take too many eggs.

Honestly my issue with breeding isn't even in getting passives and IVs anymore. Fruits, Yakumo, and the surgery table have already made it an easy experience to get that stuff.
But the fact that even when you highroll and get that perfect passive pal early, there's no feeling of excitement. in the early game, all you really need are beds and one or two hot springs. you can always just transfer food over every so often if you don't want to put farmers there to make some basic berries

Every base will want hot springs for sanity reasons.

The main thing with multiple bases is just making sure you're producing enough beneficial food for each base, which is pretty easy with pals that have at least rank 4 for planting, watering and gathering (good transporters also help). You could dedicate a single base to just plantations and have more salads than you'll ever need.

depends, the 20% def from lunker can make a big difference in raids, but you want to use water and ice attacks with it to get the most out of it and wall splash/curtain splash is pretty good for raids since it hits bigger pals ultiple times. the best fire attack is flame funnel, but not really for raids.
The best raid pal for lunker is bastigor, and its the best setup for xenolors ultra atm. For blazamut ryu its orserk since it doesnt get stunnend in the phase transition.
it really depends what you want to do with your gangler ignis, i usually go with atk passives since it doesn lock you into a specific element, it has a good element combination for incoming attacks but using both water and fire attack with him is pretty dumb like you already said. Water and electro is a smart comination.

Jellroy and Jelliette shouldn't stack so that you can take them both out and just circle feybreak salvaging and fishing at the same time instead of having to pick one.

Like you said the real problem is the rig itself, pathing and HP/Damage bloat. Rigs have the potential to become better content but they need a good amount more polish.

Other changes that could be nice like needing to kill a certain number of enemies to loot the end chest or side chests (so it isn't just a speedrun), better drop chances, and a normal and hard (group) mode with separate balance and drop rates. Maybe even include unique furniture schematic drops to show off.

Ice is the best type in the game right now to the point where raising ice pals is more fun than any other element because you actually have to breed down the good ice move, get the ice specific passive, and then find the ice skill fruits, as opposed to just soullessly factory churning out the 30th D/L/M/S Holy Burst Air Blade pal.

Ice Wall is stupidly strong against anything that isn't a raid. It's effectively a full stun. It doesn't put a wall up in front of you to block doorways, it spawns a rock on top of the opponent. They can't move and they won't attack for the duration.

If you want it to mine stuff as fast as possible, work speed. I don't recall Attack damage affecting mining though might be wrong, so if you don't expect to be using it to fight probably not much use for that. Movement speed doesn't seem that useful due to it just sticking next to you when not actively mining, and it's usually not that far between you summoning it and whatever you want it to mine.

although i'd be very happy with explosive shells raining down from the sky. maybe in multiplayer if you're at someone's firebase you can see the pals loading up the powder and the shells, and one pal making noises as it's talking into its radio and relaying coordinates to the rest of the team. i guess single player you'd have to be close to the base to see it
