nah, bowstrings and orbs are where it's at. even buying high and selling low, 10k bs are worth a cool 3m profit or 1 onyx straight up. a supporting orb stack means you replace the flax cost in 3.4 days and can also afford 1 onyx paid in chaos runes every 34 days (1 run with worlds per day). i wouldn't go full retard on bs like snoo (homie tier) but it's nice to have solid throughput even if you only land a big sale every few months. wet clay, iron ore, silver bars, and especially gold ore would be roughly equivalent grinds. if you even sell dhides, terrible idea, blacks are the only ones worth buying at a 300 gp loss each.

the other key part is that it's afk so you can abandon it to go bossing at any time. keedee's been getting into GWD and just needs +5 to his combat and sobriety stats to be a standout member. part of the agreement is that you do orbs on your own time, there is no expectation to complete the task, ever. i only deal up front. no exceptions for sosolid2k, alleged pess botter or adjacent, who can't understand that i'll accept his offer of 1.5m for 1k air orbs (no mats provided, well below fair market value) if and only if he puts up the product in the trade screen. speaking of problem players, quasar is raltz's problem and ivy is dozotaki's problem.

today while doing barrows i got an uncut diamond from a skeleton in the tunnels
out of curiosity I checked the osrs wiki for the drop rate and in the process found out the drop table for them isn't accurate; the barrows tunnel skeletons are meant to drop bones and the skeleton champion scroll, however their current drop table is that of a regular level 77 skeleton.

the reason i'm typing this out here is because i can't tell the server's priorities on fixing things like these that clearly benefit the player somehow.
the example i have in mind is how someone in the past reported that the crystal bow's ranged strength wasn't as high as it should be.
the discord server then also brought up how the charges are too high for what they should be, which made the guy in charge ask about it in the report.
this led to both being changed, and to the guy who brought up both being attacked for it by a bunch of retarded manchildren. surprisingly enough, because in the end it's still up to the devs to retroactively fix things - are they left out with the intent to blame the player reporting them for inaccuracy? are they left out because the devs want someone to report it so they can retroactively get to them as they come instead of having to recheck everything at once, as a kind of priority log/list?

i get these aren't comparable extent-wise, what's one extra item compared to going from 25k to 2.5k charges total, but in the end it's about time period accuracy vs customizing things to be (more) usable, like it seems to be with minigames having boosted rewards or some time period inaccurate features like the tool leprechaun crop noting etc
(side note, i heard the leprechaun should technically note everything, so this would seem to be an inaccuracy that makes it worse than what it should be, if anything, even though after a quick search i can't find a source for that)

tl;dr is i can't tell the server's priorities on reporting/fixing inaccuracies if they benefit the player

some of these are things i think they could be better if left 'inaccurate', like dorg c'bow firing opal/pearl bolts, because the usefulness of both is minimal otherwise and this would give the c'bow another cost efficient ammo option (except for pearl bolts), if not even make both more usable in some way.
before you ask, this was fixed already, but it's also something that feels like it'd be better left as it is after all.

maybe the bigger issue is i care too much for what i'm dealing with but that's not a subject i want to discuss. could probably think the same in regards to the devs answering whether minor things like the barrows skeleton drop table really matter in the long run.

surely the devs still around are weary of loads of ungrateful manchildren (where do you think we are?) complaining about accuracy changes that are functional nerfs, they say that it's all up to the devs but some of them do take it personally and care, leprechaun noting was brought back after complaints.

not every bug is going to get fixed, simply due to lack of evidence of the correct behavior, or just dev time/interest in a hobby project, but bugs that are nerfs may be ignored unless there is a big stink about it (which the crystal bow guy did make, and you can tell he's desperate for validation of the 'nerfs' he has reported since he quit right after the changes but came back for the hateknowledgement but people didn't even know who he was). even moderation is generally a bit laissez-faire, I don't mean the nigger word, I mean the years of bug abuse by players that went unchecked for long periods of time. that said, mods do seem to have a personal whimsy as to which bugs get fixed by their own personal vision of what's fun (unlimited run and slayer rerolls). I do think some are spiteful changes, but their willingness to make changes that will not be received well seems to waver with the seasons. I've made some particularly naughty but accurate bug reports but the ingame reporter isn't public by default so they'll probably never see the light of day.

barrows skeletons is probably an oversight, but never been reported. software users expect devs just to know this shit but they never report it like they're fucking psychic. if you care about something, report it.
