You can definitely play this as a party-and-grind game. The density in the sewers is off the charts and every class has attacks that can hit 32 enemies at once for massive effective farm speed boosts. With an XP boost I get about 1% of a level's worth of XP from a sewer mob (I'm level 20) so I can easily see a group getting a level every few minutes there. This is compared to the speed of questing where it takes forever because the mobs are so spread out that you can only kill like 3 at once.

Autoattacks are strangely effective. Long animation locks and short cooldowns are actually kind of a detriment to a skill, because the more time you spend using them, the more chip damage you're missing out on from your autos.

The limiting factors on just grinding via overworld mob packs for me have been my ability to gather them and my ability to survive. I can kill them with very few issues even as an ulti majin (my only aoe is a 2 minute cooldown spin attack) and it gets decent XP, maybe 7-10% every 2 minutes. But it's hard to gather big 10+ mob packs because they reset their aggro really quickly, so sometimes I only end up getting like 2% XP. In the opposite direction sometimes I take too much chip damage or grab too big of a pack and I die and get 0% XP. So in practice, my 7-10% XP every 2 minutes is probably closer to 3-4%, which is slower than questing would be (if a quest gives me say 10-15% experience it normally takes me about 4-6 minutes including travel time and stuff)

All these numbers are with +200% xp scrolls from the store obviously.

The ones from the starter quests only give you one.
The ones that drop from Dragon Ball mobs can unlock your super form at 40, or give you your second HTB after you receive your master class at 30, amongst other things.
According to the forums and discord, you don't lose a Dragon Ball if you fail to make a wish in time any more, so you should be able to take a look if you really want to and trust the spaghetti code this server runs on.
I would get your second HTB or wait till 40 for your super form, as most other wishes aren't going to help you much right now.

Customization is pretty limited, but you can change it up at any time with a chat command.
Not sure about transmog exactly, but there are costumes with dedicated slots that you can either buy or roll on a gacha type system with in-game currency.
