The character portraits are nice and the combat/game animation are pleasant. The gacha is very generous for new players, but it can be a bit overwhelming for newbies to figure out what resources to prioritize through mid-end game.

Bloomers, we're still going on 3.5 years strong! Over 600 decor Pikmin to collect with a projected 1500 to collect in the coming years. They've even raised the level cap to 130 a month ago just to give people even more of an incentive to bloom. Niantic seems set on keeping this game going for many years to come!
