Phone gaming controllers
Worth the money or not?
Does this actually work well or is it just a worthless gadget?
I was thinking of buying one because I have a few games on my phone, but it's not always, or barerly anytime, convinient.

Any experiences? Can I choose something cheaper or is it one of those things where you either spend a lot of money or play with garbage?

I hear they all suffer from latency and drain your battery. I only used a simple grip (Gamesir F1) for some games, but now I think it's too small and slippery and I got used to holding my bare phone and I prefer vertical games anyway.

You can just connect a Playstation 4/5 or Xbox controller to your phone and it does the same job.
But then you will have to set your phone or tablet down pretty close to your face to actually enjoy it.

Otherwise if you want a more handheld experience, Gamesir X5 lite is currently the one im using and it gets the job done. Has a USB-C connecter (For Android) so it connects directly to your phone meaning no bluetooth needed and no input delay. Also has a charge port on the bottom left of the hand grip so you can still charge your phone passing through the controller.

Best controller I've had so far (before I lost it) is the Gamesir G8+. Feels like a premium console controller and can stretch to fit any phone or tablet up to 12 inches. Hall effect joysticks and buttons and triggers feel great. Only downside is its bluetooth connected and will cover your devices charge port if you slot it in the controller. But you can sit your phone/tablet on your table and charge while still playing like you would a console controller.

Didnt notice any input delay while using, and most apps recognise it as an xbox controller so you wont have to fuck around with the settings that much. Just the sensitivity to how you want it.

Yeah i got some of those from Gamesir (insert your meme here), the Galileo G8 (non Bluetooth) and the X2 Pro (also non Bluetooth) they are more confortable to use than the screen for more complex games that are not gacha slop and a godsend when emulating, havent seen any different drain battery percentage with it on or off but Also muy phone Is like 1 month old (Honor Magic 7 Pro)
Latency issues are mostly overblown memes for contrarians to shitpost with
They are money well spent but make sure your USB-C port Is not fucked up (water getting into it) otherwise they Will not work, if you go with the wired version
