If you want to use the same homogenous teams with 2+ GDC LRs and the other same 6 or 7 staples that make their way on to every team, yes the game is very easy right now.
The problem for me is that 99% of the units outside of the elite ones dropped in the last ~6 months are so bad you usually can't even hide them. This is also true for big misses like TEQ Broly, AGL Videl, TEQ SSBKK, etc.
Power creep is nothing new, but it's reminiscent of 7th anni where bosses and mechanics took such a jump up to match the busted GDC LRs that any unit that isn't flat out nasty is just not worth running and is a total liability when most hard content locks, has AoEs, 10M+ damage supers. dodge cancels, etc.
The pool of genuinely runnable teams and units has dwindled by a lot again and these are the periods of the game where I tend to have the least fun

Gohan and Goten are pretty good. They need crit in HiPo pretty bad, but they've looked pretty good in my runs so far.
The f2p possessed units are solid, but I don't think they're competing with the rose clones. 70% dodge or die (50% if your rotations aren't good or even 0% if you're locked after turn 1 and rotations aren't good) feels bad in 2025. Would be nice if they had updated one of the stories to add an equip stage for "possessed" units to give them a little more juice

Maybe instead of running the same shit over and over they could do progressively scaling difficult battles and whoever progresses the furthest wins. I think it's likely the next DFE will be a crossover character. I can't imagine they'd do a livestream for a random filler DFE.
It'd be funny if they did a new super divers crossover and did a masked saiyan DFE. I could also see Shallot from legends or revisiting xenoverse. Would be cool to finally have the xv banner units from years ago get EZAs. I'm guessing there will also be a heroes unit rerun and EZAs for the hearts/limit breaker ss4 batch coming next month

So, unless something changes, I guess saiyan day and the celebration-formerly-known-as-tanabata are the must not skip banners if you like/need the new unit. If kid goku returns on the next DFE banner and the tdc DFE returns on saiyan day, they're both on a 7+ month return schedule as opposed to everything else seemingly being 6 months or less now

Saiyan day is a skip, I pulled this year and as usual didn't need him for anything, not even the DB redzone missions, and then he phased out by gdc. The last standout saiyan day was godku and he still served no real purpose during his meta. Easy skip. Tanabata DFE is still cracked, but so was UI and 10th anni killed him despite a "well aging" kit by all metrics.

You can use any "piece" of the unit, including SRs, to unlock dupe paths and level up super attack levels now.
A good example would be the LR Androids. If you've got them at SA 10/20 and no dupe paths opened, you could go and pull 14 copies of the SR from the friend summon and immediately feed those into HiPo and training and they would be guaranteed towards SA level and you wouldn't have to awaken them to unlock paths

i had a nightmare that i reinstalled dokkan battle and was grinding dailies, awakening units, expanding my collection, losing so much time from my days, it honestly felt so real. I instinctively tried to boot up dokkan as soon as I came back from work and realized it was all just a dream, and I had the biggest sigh of relief ive had in years. god I'm so fucking glad im fucking free.
