they really need to go over all the translations again, it all feels so sloppy. They have multiple names for things, no mention anywhere of certain mechanics like shield. "Gain 100% shield". 100% of what? Defense im guessing?

I really like the game, the one thing pushing me to drop it is the save data changing at the end of a run. What is the point of creating a perfect deck if the game just makes it worse than the default one when you're done?

If you're doing a low save data value world, your deck might get cards you removed added back or upgraded cards reverted.

Save data cap increases to Normal at 30 and goes to High/Very High at 40 which makes it much easier to get actually good decks

Game seems pretty neat right now. I'll have to see how I feel about it when and if I hit a difficulty spike where I NEED to have specific characters and save files to beat some limited time event or whatever. The usual gacha shit. One thing that's weird to me is that for a game that draws from deckbuilding roguelites like Slay the Spire, there's very little randomness in the Chaos runs I've seen. I hardly ever get common cards and I'm lucky to see more than two epiphanies in a run. Maybe that'll change later on.

Is no one playing this? I think the game is really fun. I got Rin, Luke and luckily managed to pull a Haru with just 20 rescue anchors so I'm going to save my blue ones for the following weeks. And of course I have at least one of all the 4 stars.
I'm here on the growth chart, currently at level 28. Doesn't this shit take forever? That's 60*12 = 720 which is 3 whole days of aether where you're doing nothing but farming memory fragments.
Anyaway fun game. I don't usually bother with gachas but the gameplay is legitimately fun here. The characters and story are a bit trash, but I'll admit the Renoa trauma exploration was alright.

Yeah that thing was a bitch I just finished that today and got rewarded with a Renoa dupe on the standard banner for my efforts.
I think the story could use a bit more work than "Oh x problem showed up time to dive into the Chaos again!"
But the gameplay really carries it for me, love the deck building strategy and the character kits all feel distinct and unique and it's great to discover new builds. It's truly a game I'd feel comfortable whaling in the future.

I don't want to spend shekels on any game right now because I've been guilty of cashing in on games that I regretted later, but this game has overall been a delightful surprise so I'm 100% playing this unless they shit the bed. And yes, the story is quite bad and characters couldn't be more stereotypical even if they tried.
Just about to hit level 30 so I'm going to spend some consumables upgrading my team (rin + rei + mika) to 40 and then start working on another team because I assume it's going to take at least one week's worth of effort to upgrade my commander to level 40. I'll have to look for some good comps for Cassisus and Nia, I want to use them, they're really cool.

It seems there has been massive drama and controversy and whatnot and they made an emergency livestream where the director acknowledged some of the game's issues. Including awful localization and writing, how difficult it is to level up affinity, and more.
They will rewrite the entire thing for the first half of 2026 and they'll be gifting 10 anchors every week for november.

Affinity really isn't that hard, I have 3 characters at level 5 and a 4th at level 15. The main thing is the writing I think, but even then I didn't read much because it wasn't working for me yet. I guess I'll put off pushing through it for the rewrites.

Right now there's just 5 chapters and that's what's getting rewritten. It looks like the rewrite will take about half a year to get reimplemented, but I don't know if they're just going to retell the whole thing again or scrap the entire plot and start from scratch.

My gripes with the story is that it's pretty shallow. It's not like I'm expecting anything amazing but there's almost nothing of substance here. In that regard the director admitted the writing has been rushed and rewritten multiple times and as a result the quality of the storytelling has suffered, he takes full responsability for it, promises for it to be better, blah blah.

Not sure since I'm still not done with it, but it seems "interesting enough". There's atleast one character who seems to have complex motivations (the one spy).
There're so many interesting scenarios that can develop from something like "chaos". Couple that with how grand the scale of the setting is and you have an Infinite story generator.

It really feels like Owen will be killed off in the rewrite or he’s the one who gets force recalled instead of Rei at the start but something goes wrong and he’s so messed up after he can’t do anything so he’s never seen again either way. All because he was nice to women and helped carry Renoa at the start. Wouldn’t be surprised if they find some way to get rid of Hugo and the other guys which would suck because I like Hugo.

Then with making the story being recentered around the player and having characters not interacting with each other that much going forward could easily devolve to everyone being one note only for the player because some people can’t handle characters experiencing things without the player being present 24/7 and to be the one to fix things.
