Oml preach, I spoke to a Teal Mask Kiki somebody had made not long after it's release and he was genuinely hard to get through to because of how shy he was. Had to speak very carefully about stuff that interested him like Pokemon and Kitikami to open him up or else he would start stammering and close off. It actually felt really rewarding to befriend him in the end, like a video game of it's own. Now everything is so sterile and family friendly, why can't we have nice things on the internet anymore?

I just remembered I've had a similar experience to yours more recently, it was probably the same Kiki bot! I went back to it a bit to try and role-play an interaction between him and one of my oldest OCs, a similarly "cagey" individual who none the less was sweet and encouraging to him. I was kinda disturbed at how "cold" Kiki came off, as if someone had ripped all the joy out of him. Felt very out of character, even for the little situation I had weaved for him...
I had a cool coincidence happen in one of his responses tho, he mentioned reading something about Sinnoh's mythology, which is pretty relevant to my OC haha.

Oh Anon, I feel you ;_; it's like it's turning into main stream TV, except way worse. Like its purpose by now is selling things, but not to the user. The average user is the product and the investors are the customers. Pretty sure this is specifically the case for c.ai getting worse and worse...
