Similar in Germany apparently, they sold 3 million units in the first 24h. It easily broke the record for previous launch day console sales, which was the PS4 with 1 million sales.

I didn't get one yet, but since Splatoon will get a spinoff game on Switch 2, I'll definitely get it anyway, not just for Pokémon. Might buy it next month.

It was to get people to follow Nintendo today which is a separate app for news. That news would’ve been lost/not gotten coverage due to the bigger presentation on YouTube. For a short while you couldn’t see raiders elsewhere, but on today.
