Nintendo are the ones you need to finger for that, they order the games to release for their systems, alongside all their other offerings (including getting a prime retail spot every year) and front the budgets for it. And they clearly thought a remake for christmas was the way to go, while L: A could get a test laucnh (and to be fair, it sells in january, it can carry a Christmas next time).
The problem is you little retards thinking Game Freak's as invested in retreading old water.. They cared about FRLG and HGSS - there were only 10 in the studio at that stage and most, if not all were still there by time they were finished (including them hiring on a shitload of college grads who'd played Pokémon GS growing up and were invested in making remakes of them), they cared little about ORAS, beyond being a project they needed to finish, while Gen 7 was going down the toilet and they were at the stage they had to cancel the Gen 6 rehash. Small wonder they passed off the BDSP remake to whos - they hadn't planned to bother making one and being told one would be preferable, they sub-contracted a team of nobodies to shit one out to satisfy Big red. Voilà, a unity rebuild of the OG that's technically a remake, in that it's an older game remade for newer hardware, for they type of people who deserve it. Mongs who can't understand the era of remakes had passed, if not for faggot autism.
