Some bugs seem to have been corrected just by the performance improving, Pokemon that fly around now seem to work as they were intended to.

I seriously don't understand why everyone keeps saying the game is full of glitches. The only glitch I had was one softlock after a raid, and I did hundreds of raids.

The launch version of the game was definitely more unstable, especially if doing the multiplayer parts over the web. If you look at all the videos of glitches, it's always in multiplayer mode. The terrain does warp and disappear if you were to say, go to the top of the mountain and start flying even to this day and the framerate is bad, but Nemona wasn't growing to a ginormous size or anything.

I played on launch, and personally encountered:
>the day/night cycle switching during cutscenes, like physically moving as if fast forwarded
>selfie/camera mode fucking with the player model
Plus, like you said, a bunch of weird character model fuckups in multi-player, or players riding bikes into the sky

NTA but why are you so hung up on semantics when both glitches and optimization issues are problems with the game? Clearly they are severe enough to be confused for one another.

nah, he's retarded on that front too. Bugs with backend code cause front end issues. Memory leaks are the most obvious one. He's just a midwit who thinks he's saying something clever, so I called him a retard to remind him of that

What does the severity have to do with anything? It's like saying low framerates are "a glitch".
It's just literally not a glitch. Yes, it's absolutely poorly optimised, but that's a separate problem. Call the child by its name.

Stuff like warping or flickering terrain are not caused by bugs or memory leaks in this case.

Fine, I'll humour you if you insist.
>why are you so hung up on semantics when both glitches and optimization issues are problems with the game?
Two seperate issues are not synonymous just cause they are both part of the same something. If the food you ordered is both cold and too salty doesn't mean that "cold" and "too salty" mean the same thing, does it? Either addresses an entirely different problem and needs entirely different solutions.
The semantics aren't even super important per se, it's just really weird to me that people don't point out the actual problems with these games. Why is suddenly everything a "glitch"? It's not a bug or weird temporary error (which is what the word glitch describes). It's poor optimisation. Again, the severity isn't relevant either. Is the game dropping to 10fps a glitch? No, nothing about that is a glitch or bug. That implies that it's a technical error or some sort that could easily be fixed. It's an optimisation problem, which is far more complex and severe and is more than "just an oversight". It's a far grander level of incompetence. And that should be pointed out.
