Gen 1 Pokemon can't be forgotten, yes, even shitmons like Parasect and Dewgong. Forgotten Pokemon would be ones like Sigilyph, Aromatisse, Araquanid, Cramorant and Squawkabilly.

Damp, swords dance, false swipe, spore, maybe another move,

Maximum kino.
Breloom is good, but can’t stop self-destruct.

Paras was damn near the only Pokémon that spawned at my house back when only gen 1 was in Pokémon GO, so my best Pokémon was a Parasect I dumped all my stardust into and I grew pretty attached to him.

I did remember the others you mentioned so I thought you were being cheeky and throwing in a fake name to make a point about how most people wouldnt even notice. I was legit shocked when I slapped it on Google and turns out this thing is real wtf

exactly
Paras: bug/grass
Parasect: grass/bug
funny, because paras= parasite and sect=insect, yet in paras the insect is in control

This is why I prefer Grass/Ghost over Bug/Ghost for Parasect in romhacks

The grass type represents the mushroom like every other mushroom pokemon

Bug/Grass isn't necessarily bad, Parasects problem is that its stats suck shit through a straw. Leavanny has the same problem where if it just had a little more speed it could actually be an extremely decent Pokemon.

yes
>Araquanid
the usum totem battle probably makes it memorable and it's a decently well-liked design even outside of that
>Cramorant
yes but it did also make its way into unite so it probably has a small handful of fans who just like playing the guy
>Squawkabilly
i think squawk is in the same tier as maractus or stantler where it being so forgettable is what it's known for at this point

just did a gen 1 quiz, and the biggest trouble I had with was Tangela. He is literally thrown into an area by the starting town and forgotten until gen 4, where it is much better.

venonat and venomoth are probably also common trouble mons
>another bug/poison type in a game littered with both
>is also nothing special in gameplay so it's not likely to see much use
>barely showed up in any future games (at least before postgame)
>when it does, it's usually catchable at a point where bug shitmon stats just aren't going to cut it
