>HGSS are the best Pokemon remakes, bar none. They integrated Crystal content seamlessly, fixed Kanto, and added a whole lot of cool shit, some ported from Platinum, sure, but it's still great. Ignore all "level curve" "complaints". It's just 3Dfags complaining about the fact that your entire team isn't given EXP every 5 seconds.

7 if lgpiss doesn't count as part of it. If not, then maybe 6. Even though I don't like playing XY or ORAS these days and think they're lower than the average game, the first few months were definitely magical. Anime was above par (barely). The Spinoffs are what make it the best. Art Academy, Shuffle, Picross, Super Mystery Dungeon, Pokken, GO, and especially Duel are unrivalved. If we're also counting generations as starting when the new game gets released, then that means that the Sun and Moon trailer/leak season was part of gen 6, which was also amazing. USUM will probably always be my favorite mainline games, but gen 6 was great.
