It's not just spamming attacks over and over like in the mainline game. You actually have to carefully think every turn and take a lot of things into consideration
I spend a whole lot more time thinking and researching BEFORE I even battle.
Using spreadsheets and having a list of potential enemy trainer/pokemon movesets is pretty important in the higher levels of battle frontier streaks. The game WILL fuck you over eventually.
This is endgame level pokemon battling. If you want to be a pokemon master and get those gold badges, you gotta know your stuff.

The META for getting a high streak in the Battle Tower/Facilities often involves some kind of slow ass setup to guarantee the fight: in Gen 4, it was Acupressure Substitute Drapion with a Trick-Scarfer to get to +6 in every battle, pretty slow (even ignoring the In-game speed). In Gen 5 it was entrainment Truant Durant with a Protect DDnite to, again, get to +6 then sweep pretty much everything
