Little over odds on Dialga hunt, end my suffering please. Currently burning through ore on a nearly 100% consistent run, only 58 runs of that left. Without the consistent run, the success rate has only been like 50%.

If you just want the shiny, there are faster ways.
The point of the hunt is to win.
You count to get a number.
Depending on the number you get, you know how hard you won.

How many Balls I've used + dynite ore spent on a successful route tells me how many I've done.
Approaching 130 runs.

It lets me know how "lucky" or "unlucky" I've been.
The cumulative odds is how likely you were to have found the shiny for your given number of encounters. With 1/100 odds when you reach 100 encounters you have like 63% chance of having seen it already, at 150 encounters it's like 78%, 300 encounters is like 95%. It never reaches 100% obviously because it's not guaranteed.
Helps me cope because DA are absolutely insufferable.

Someone should calculate the odds of like a third my marked shinies being ‘Rowdy’

Dragon sandwich and running around the cave behind the rocks near A03, you get shinies 1-3 every sandwich, about (Switch 2, Switch 1 was way worse).

Fast ball colors match the big wing things, though I threw a few beast balls but they never work lol
No, Amoonguss is honestly the worst thing there and I just have it because I used to use it.
Basculegion is good for clearing water outbreaks since it can attack diving pokemon, Valiant is a top tier catcher with Hypnosis, Thunder Wave, False Swipe, and Taunt. Venusaur is the same with Sleep Powder, Curse, Worry Seed, and False Swipe. Hawlucha is good fro clearing things that fly. Kingdra has Damp. I should get a Soaker or H-Decidueye for ghosts but ehhh, most stuff is easy enough to catch.
Flutter Mane is very easy to get a shiny so it’s a great place to start.

I'm pretty resilient, but I like to know whether I should be unhappy. Most shiny legendaries have happened around 75 encounters, but thats biased early because of suicune(7) and Ho-Oh(12). Exclude them and it's closer to 100.
Dialga is just being a bitch, running out of ore to blow.

If you already have Platinum, I would see which fossil you can get in your save then buy whichever version has the exclusive fossil you can't get.

Also if you're buying a Japanese cart, get the 1.0 version. It has glitches that were patched in later versions, like being able to duplicate items with Ditto and Thief in double battles.

By looking at the 9 characters on the back. The first 4 make up the game code, in this case APAJ, the 5th character is an N, 6th character is the revision number; 0 should be JP DP 1.0

I don't think you can inject an even that wasn't planned for that release. I don't remember what I used but it wouldn't let me check the flag for the event.
I even had trouble reading the savefiles. It was a headache. Someone said to delete the last bytes from the savefile, I'm not that tech savvy.
