Wrong, because it has a clear inspiration and fills its intended role, regardless of your opinion, while a Pokémon like Toucannon being the regional bird of Alola fails in all regards, as it's not a bird native to Hawaii, looks rather generic and not "monster"-like, and the whole "cannon" gimmick makes no sense either.

It's funny because I skipped both Gen 8 and Gen 9 because I thought most of the Pokemon were ugly, but Enamorus is one of the few recent Pokemon that I like.

I honestly don't think it's as bad, if you get rid of the lips it's way better. I preferit to the other genies and dogshit like Jynx in any case, though I concede that is not a high bar.
Don't like the turtle version at all though, no saving it even though the idea is cool.

I like Enamorus. Yeah it's ugly as fucking sin but so are all the other genies. It matches the pre-existing members of the team perfectly, if you romhacked it into a gen 5 game nobody would even think it was out of place. Unlike something like the new Regis that don't look like anything.

Yes but only by technicality. He's a soft shade of blue, so it matches the azure dragon somewhat, but azure is a deeper shade of blue.

The thing that DOES match the genies' therian forms with the beasts color-wise is the jewel they have on their belly. I don't know why, but that's what you get.

Well yes and no. This gets into the fact "Azure Dragon" is a little bit of a mistranslation. China for a long period of time considered blue and green shades of the same color (which before you decry as stupid would point out orange and pink have both been seen as merely shades of red in the west, and "orange" was a distinction that actually came from the fruit). The chinese name for the dragon, Qinglong, still uses the old chinese word which encompasses both as one color. The dragon has thus been depicted as nearly all colors within this range, from deep blues to jade sculptures. A perhaps better translation would be the Teal Dragon, as most depictions nowadays cut the difference and go for a midpoint between blue and green.

Some cultures have very little incentive to make the necessary mental and linguistic adjustments to distinguish green from blue, but can distinguish a lot of shades of green that we cannot. The intent was Enamourus was what a female Kami (they've never been genies) was supposed to look like. In that respect, she displays similarities to her brothers, but as she's not actually male nor intended to be presented as such, they didn't detail her similar to the muscular male template they held the others to.
