ITT, rate the teams of each other.

Pic related - rate my team. All I need to do now is trade Mewtwo over to this game and add him to the party instead of Metagross. Then I think I will have the best team, by stats, in Gen 3.

What's your goal with this team? By the time you have this, there's nothing left to do in the game and you can't take them into the battle frontier. Not being judgemental, just wondering if you have an end-goal besides just collecting them.

I just wondered what's the statistically best team in the game. Maybe it's a dumb team because three are flying types, there's no electric type, no grass, no fighting, etc. In terms of an effective team that can win battles I'm sure it's not the best team. But yeah I was just wondering what the most powerful team would be in terms of stats.

Team threads are so infrequent. This is my third run of Crystal Legacy with a Kanto starter.

Blastoise often gets badmouthed for being "outclassed" by other water types but in single player, (especially when playing on set with no items) having a tanky mono water type with little drawbacks makes a reliable switch-in.

Hitmonlee's a beast with the improved stats and the stronger HiJumpKick.

Flareon's Special Attack and Special Defense were swapped, which is nice. Due to it still having only 65 base speed, Quick Attack managed to remain useful to the end.

Jynx is always fun to use thanks to its STAB and Lovely Kiss. It's dangerous when the AI uses it though. Lovely Kiss can fuck up your whole strategy.

I played Ultra Sun years ago and instantly fell in love with how alive the Alola region feels. I've been wanting to play Sun/Moon since the story is different. So anyway, here's my team. Just doing a casual play with whatever Pokémon I like.

The Ho-Oh and Lugia can be found in Emerald and FR/LG if you have a special ticket which was distributed at events. But you can use tools to inject this ticket into your save file. When you have that ticket, this is where you find those Pokemon:

I hate your team. Not like it's bad or anything, it's just personal preference. I don't like playing with legendaries, that's all. 2/10, Metagross is a nice pseudo, I'd use it with Agility, Stealth Rock, Explosion and equipped with a Lum Berry to prevent being burnt.

My favourites there are Rocky and Blastoise, being the latter the best one. Balanced between special and physical attacks; I prefer Flareon over Magmar because of the esthetics. I prefer Hitmonchan (with Focus Punch and Substitute) over Hitmonlee's better attack and speed, though.

For some reason, I find your team members very comfy and huggable, and Rocky apeears to be always ready to build a nest everywhere. Very nice indeed. ^^

A very nice monotype/monotier. 8.5/10, congratulations for your effort. :) I can understand why you included Castform in your team. I would run it with a choice scarf, and set up the weather with another one.

Sawsbuck, Ambipom, Tauros or Miltank seem very viable alternatives that can make much greater than Linoone.
Chansey, Girafarig or Clefable, on the other hand, are great options to substitute Exploud.

Basically I have no idea what the best strategies are so I just wondered what the team with the best stats would be. As far as I can tell the team with the best stats in Gen 3 would be Rayquaza, Mewtwo, Ho-Oh, Lugia (all 680 stat points) and then Groudon and Kyogre (both 670 stat points). Then I guess those Pokemon can learn a variety of moves to take on different types, either by TMs, or the move reminder, or move tutoring.

But yeah maybe there are better strategies for Gen 3 involving non-legendary Pokemon and a smart use of moves and abilities etc. I'm just too dumb to know what those strategies are.

Very based team anon, well done.

I did a couple runs of Yellow Legacy recently in the current build. Here's the first one.

Psyduck can be found in Route 4 and gets much better moves early on so it's a lot more fun to raise.

The Mr. Mime in game trade is still there but you can catch wild ones on Route 21. I went with the latter because it was refreshing to use a Mr. Mime without having to use the dumb nickname. They're a pain in the ass to catch though. Unfortunately, Substitute is still just as shitty as it was in vanilla gen 1.

Scyther becomes a monster once it learns Twineedle, which got buffed to 40 power per hit. It annihilates psychic types. You can catch wild ones in the routes between Lavender and Fuchsia in addition to the Safari Zone.

I love Swampert, specially with Focus Punch and subs. Ninjask does wonders as a baton passer; I used to build Breloom with max HP/SpDef and Rock Slide some fire/air menaces.

Victreebell does good with Chrolophyll; I'd choose Exeggutor as a viable alternative to Venusaur, though; specially bearing in mind Sand Stream (in case you want it this way). Nice special defenses in general; and an iconic team too.

Beware with psychic types; however, they aren't very common either. Take it as a simple advice.
