I've been doing Battle Frontier the past couple days. So far I've only played Battle Pike (the one that looks like Seviper) and Battle Factory (pic related)

I want to get enough Battle Points so I can get the move tutor to give me Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, and Ice Punch. Apparently these are repeatable so you can teach them to many Pokemon. Unlike TMs which are single-use, which sucks.

Not in Emerald (IYKYK). The only moves you can only teach once in Emerald are Double-Edge, Mimic, Rollout, Substitute, Fury Cutter, Metronome, Dynamicpunch, and Explosion.

Interesting thanks. I kind of want to see what team I can make with legit methods though. I could just play Gen 5 where TMs are apparently re-usable but for the moment I will see what I can achieve in Gen 3.

I never did. I learned my way through guidebooks. Of course I never invested in eggs or EV/IV breeding but I understood which Pokemons natures and stats worked best. Which took a fair amount of berry farming to re-establish stats for my teams. But no, never cheated. Worked with all the Pokemon I could get in game. I got all the silver symbols and 2 or 3 Gold as my best record.

Is Tyranitar even good in blind 3v3? You run into one bulky pokemon with brick break and it dies. You don't have the luxury of wearing down its checks in this format.

I copy pasted a ton of different Smogon sets with PKHeX for every major battle facility at some points, not always optimal since Smogon sets are made for 6v6 PVP, but most were fine.
My only slight regret is having maxed out IV's, but eh, the hidden power mons relied on high and specific IV combos, and bosses had perfect stats too. Maybe one day I'll randomize the IV's of some of the mons and get the golds again, ultimately don't think it would make a huge difference though.

For Emerald you forgot Latios. I'd swap it for Milotic. And I'd prefer Houndoom to the unreliable Heracross. As for FRLG, swap Charizard for Tyranitar, Alakazam for Umbreon or Aerodactyl, and Electabuzz for Zapdos.

there are many rom hacks that basically do this, even just Vanilla+ ones. You just have to sift through hundreds of similar named ones.
