I miss events that unlocked areas in the game where you could get legendary Pokémon. Yeah it was a bit bullshit they were locked behind something only available for a limited time but I prefer that to just being given the Pokémon by some guy at a Pokémon Center

That requires effort to be put and give the legendary/mythical a unique area to make them feel important. Scarlet and Violet really showed how little fucks they give now.
Just throw them in the overworld randomly.
Never getting something like Ho-Oh or Lugia again if they keep going open world and I can't believe I'm saying it but Sword and shield atleast gave the Dogs and Eternatus a unique place...

Would have been cool if it was actually:
- available outside of megacities
- maintained over time(ran more than once)
- didn't simply become broken content when the game went out of support
- didn't start requiring a monthly subscription service to keep the resulting event pokemon, who may or may not even be allowed in the next game

ORAS's Eon Ticket is the best version of this delivery system and it's a shame they only did it once. Why the fuck wasn't Magearna's event like this?
