In PLA, only the popular characters got a bone, aka only Cynthia and Dawn.
Nobody cares about Calem, and Serena is only known for sucking Ash's dick, which brings up an interesting question: what's gonna be the ratio of new to old characters in ZA? For every Gemma and AZ, there are like six already new characters already show up.

Mars never really had a fanbase, so I doubt anyone cares, but the fact that Arezu exists as a upgrade of a still-living character is one of the reasons I’m pretty sure she’s never coming back.

Hopefully ZA brings back some underrated XY characters and gives them some shilling instead of turboshilled flops like Diantha and Korrina.
