I never realized how cool the idea of Mewtwo being a clone of a pokemon we were never supposed to see was. I wish we were in the timeline where mew was never put in a game it was always a mystery like the original dragon zekrom, reshiram, and Kyurem split from or the thing that laid the egg Arceus came from, I'd like to see what people thought mew would look like.

People would've followed DBZ/Aliens logic that Mewtwo, being a clone, is a shittier inferior version of the real deal. As such, Mew would've just taken Mewthree's place if it was never revealed.

It might've been cool if Mew was completely unobtainable in-game and we only got to see depictions of it (maybe even just distorted/stylized ones like the Ancient Mew card so there's no definitely answer for what it looks like for real). I'm glad we at least got to see it though. Not only do I like Mew better than Mewtwo, but it sort of makes Mewtwo's design better and the science behind it seem more creepy knowing that Mew's cute design got turned into that.
