Steel was crap offensively and steel was also nerfed at the same time by loosing its resistances to dark and ghost (part of why those two types ended up becoming overpowered but that’s another story)
Bug got punished for u-turn’s crimes even though most bug types don’t even get the move and u-turn was used for its pivoting not its damage so all the bug resistance did was screw over every bug move EXCEPT U-turn. If they were so set on having u-turn do less damage they could have just halfed its Base Power and reduced the amount of non-bug types who get it.

I read a book abut the Oregon Trail by a first person narrator and they doccument the indian's savagery like killing dogs in cold blood but it also contains hyper detailed narration of the writer and his buddy killing a laughable ammount of buffalo in really dramatic fashion. He talks so much and in so much detail about their hunting tehcnique and how many buffalo's they're killing, it starts being hilarious. I bet 100 of the book's pages are dedicated solely to colorful buffalo carnage.
