And while I DID buy my Switch 2 day one, I'd also had the full cost of it put away two years ago and was just waiting to pull the trigger. As well as living in a civilised country, naturally. I've also barely played Pokémon on it, preferring to dig into the rest of my library because I didn't get any games with it (mario kart's not fun).

You get other games for that 450 console, it's certainly a pricey console but Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart World are strong early titles, not to mention being compatible with the Switch 1 games, which is easily the best game library of all time (PS2 could be argued as the best, but in terms of Nintendo, Switch is better than the rest)

Soz povvo, but I'm gonna get the value out of it from just Pokémon and BL4 in the first 6 months alone and that's not including the new splatoon spin-off (as well as Splat4 in the future) MP4 and AoI. Then we'll see about whatever else comes in '26 and beyond (aside from Gen 10) and hope Microsoft pull their neck in and allow me to buy Halo 3 as a standalone.
But as I said, I had every red cent sitting in a drawer by 2023 waiting for the day it went on sale, not my fault you're this old and this potato and poor, to be unable to afford to save pennies to turn into pounds to turn into vidya consoles and games.
