Funnily enough Gamefreak was experimenting with making a Bug/Fairy Scyther regional that somehow still became Bug/Steel when it evolved for gen 7, which would likely look very much like this, it got scrapped and we're not entirely sure what regional took it's spot on the dex, it's possible the Scyther regional got split into Lurantis and Rimbombee.

Scyther is fine ingame and for casual battles with friends. and tryharding at little cup. His type is too defensively horrible to play witht he big dogs in stealthrock meta but what the fuck ever 90% of pokemon cant deal with OU bullshit.
