Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are over 10 years old. In retrospect how do you feel about these games?

Pure kino.
Sucks that they didn't get the true Battle Frontier, and the Delta Episode could have been better. Masuda had evidently become a hack at this point, but what little he changed doesn't make the games worse, and the core is still there.
It took everything that was great about the originals, created the game as it would have been made in 2014 - unlike BDSM, and enhanced it across the board.
5/7 perfect game

True. FRLG aren't good remakes, they are awesome remakes. HGSS aren't good remakes, they are the PERFECT remakes. BDSP aren't good remakes, they are dogso remakes.

Feel the exact same way about the games now as I did when they came out. I'd replay Emerald or the original Ruby and Sapphire over replaying these games again.

Don't feel too strongly about them over Emerald, unlike the previous remakes. No Battle Frontier blows ofc, but doesn't sting as much nowadays with Pokeemerald decomp hacks on the rise. I always liked the aspect of fighting two evil teams, which is lost in ORAS. The jump to 3D was cool, makes it feel more distinct from RSE, but only so much.
Overall a better remake than BDSP, which is saying absolutely nothing, arguably better than RBY, worse than HGSS. All just IMO.

It bothers me how it erased the old designs from the series, when I greatly prefer them.

Also, I played Emerald back in the day rather than R/S, so everything that was faithful to the original instead felt like a downgrade from my point of view, like Tate's & Liza's party.
